The team then looked into Cedrik’s death further determined to find out exactly what happened – and they soon found that Cedrik had died more suspiciously than originally thought. In a key part of the plot, Dwayne’s phone unfortunately gave away a huge error; it revealed the date was Saturday, July 4, when in fact July 4 of that year took place on a Monday. Viewers have taken to online sites to point out the mistake, with one sharing it on-site Movie Mistakes, which allows viewers to discuss plot holes. Classing it as a factual error, they said: “Dwayne’s phone during the intro says it’s Saturday July 4th. The episodes (memorial banner, death certificate) takes place in 2016, when July 4th was a Monday.” Flesh and Blood was back with the second instalment of the thrilling four-part drama airing on ITV. Over the next two evenings, viewers will come closer to finding out which family member died and who was the cold-blooded killer. However, during tonight’s episode, those watching at home were left confused by some of the comments Mary was making. Is she setting the scene for the murder and framing someone else? Set on the Sussex coast, the story follows a modern family as it spirals towards a tragedy and possible crime. In a series of flashbacks and present-day scenes, widowed mother Vivien (played by Francesca Annis) reveals her new love interest, Mark (Stephen Rea) to her children. But “nosey neighbour” Mary (Imelda Staunton) has raised a few suspicions with her shady behaviour and last night, viewers were convinced she has something to do with the crime. However, it seems she is not working alone, with some suggesting she and Mark are in cahoots with one another. READ MORE: Flesh and Blood ITV: Mary revealed as the murderer already? After decades of living within metres of the sea, Vivien decided she was going to sell the family home in which her three children grew up in. Understandably, her offspring were not delighted by the idea, but nevertheless, they each set about moving their belongings out of the property. When it was Jake’s (Russell Tovey) turn, he popped by Mary’s to ask her if he could keep a few boxes at her house, and during the conversation, the neighbour began planting seeds of doubt. “Hi, knock knock,” Jake said and Mary replied welcomingly: “Hello!” “Mary, how are you? Could I leave these with you for a few weeks?” He asked and Mary said: “Of course you can! How are things? With Leyla?” “Yes… I think we’re getting there. I think, hope. There is quite a few more of those [bags],” Jake added. “It’s fine, it’s fine. Such a shame though that you mum’s move isn’t it?” The neighbour commented. “But it’s not done yet Mary, we’ve still got time to turn that ship around,” Jake remarked, but Mary wasn’t convinced: “I don’t know about that, not with her new car if it’s anything to do by! He’s obviously done well for himself hasn’t he?” Jake said: “It’s a bit too flashy for my liking,” and Mary continued: “Although, I suppose he could have bought it on credit couldn’t he? Well, people do don’t they these days, ‘buy now, pay later’. Whereas we always had to save up for things. Anyway, get your bags, I’ll put the kettle on.” DON’T MISS… This wasn’t the only occasion, near the end of the instalment, Natalie (Lydia Leonard) arrived at the house to grab her things and took the opportunity to ask Mary a favour. “Mary, can I ask you a favour – it’s about mum,” she said and Mary replied: “She’s in Spain with her boyfriend?” “Only he’s not her boyfriend, he’s her husband now,” Natalie explained which shocked Mary to the core. “Yes, they got married in Gibraltar. I know, we all feel the same. Do you mind keeping an eye on her? We’re all a bit concerned it’s happened so fast. Call me if anything’s not quite right, thanks Mary,” the youngest child said. Natalie then walked back to her car, put a box in the boot and buckled up, but before she drove off, Mary emerged at the driver’s window and suspiciously asked: “Natalie, I’m just wondering, what did his [Mark’s] first wife die of?” Taking to Twitter to discuss the possible theories, one said: “Mary is planting seeds of doubt in the children’s head so it looks like they all planned it together to murder him #FleshAndBlood.” “#FleshAndBlood love how the neighbour is planting seeds of doubt with each of them, he just happened to be there when she was Ill, nicking the blueys and mentioning getting the car on credit…..is she a goodie or a baddie?” Someone else questioned. A third surmised: “#FleshAndBlood Mark and Mary in it together? Mary poisoning Vivienne? Was Mary the dead husband’s lover? Mark’s wife Vivienne’s husband’s lover? Mark Vivienne’s husband’s lover? Ohhh so many possibilities …..” “Nah I’m right Mary and Mark are in this plot together #FleshAndBlood,” another stated. Flesh and Blood returns tomorrow evening at 9pm on ITV. TV has been home to an infinite number of one-season wonders — but what about the shows that were practically yanked before the first commercial break? In the wake of Swamp Thing‘s swift cancellation, TVLine is taking a look back at 26 of TV’s most infamous flame-outs — some beloved, others not so much. Because for every Lone Star, there’s also a Viva Laughlin, or (ugh) Work It. Some of these shows had the misfortune (and/or blessing, depending on how you look at it) of being pulled after just one episode. Take, for instance, when ABC apparently had an answer to Emily’s Reasons Why Not. Others were picked up to series, only never to make it to air. That includes a 1990s sitcom revival, a Cruel Intentions spinoff starring Amy Adams, and a Gavin & Stacey remake starring Jason Ritter and Alexis Bledel. All of these ill-fated shows have one thing in common: None of them made it past five episodes. A disgruntled New York Jets fan has tried to justify a charge of drink driving by blaming his not-so-beloved team. Jets fan Christopher Greyshock from West Milford was charged for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) after being involved in a crash last weekend, when he drove into the back of another vehicle at 5:15pm on Sunday afternoon. The incident took place in the New York town of Wayne, just after the Jets crashed to their seventh defeat of the season, as the equally hapless Buffalo Bills ran out convincing 41-10 winners at MetLife Stadium. Authorities revealed that Greyshock told Wayne police officers that he was intoxicated as a result of the Jets’ performance. “I drank too much because the Jets suck,” he said, AP reports. A police search of Greyshock’s car found an open bottle of whiskey and a substance believed to be marijuana, as Greyshock was handed a DWI charge as well as a charge of assault by auto. It is unknown whether he has enlisted the services of a lawyer. Given his initial defence, he may need one.

Amazon and Apple have an unusual ally in their attempt to shoot down Bloomberg‘s claims of Chinese hardware surveillance: the US Department of Homeland Security. The agency joined the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre in saying it had “no reason to doubt” refutals at the moment. Supply chain protection is “core” to Homeland Security’s mission, according to the statement. This doesn’t completely rule out a future investigation, but the agency isn’t about to hop on the case.
Bloomberg has maintained that Chinese server firm Super Micro had installed surveillance chips on machines for nearly 30 companies, and that both Amazon and Apple reported the suspicious hardware to law enforcement as far back as 2015. Both companies have outright rejected the report, however, claiming that they found no such chips and never worked with the FBI on such a case. Apple went so far as to say it had “repeatedly and consistently” provided statements rejecting Bloomberg‘s account before it published the story.
The news outlet has stuck by its reporting so far. Without official support, though, the claims might not get much momentum. The DHS statement also suggests the US government’s suspicion of Chinese technology has its limits — in some cases, it wants to see evidence before it takes action.

]]>“I saw that report. I cannot confirm that it is accurate. I hope that they did not,” the State Department’s spokeswoman, Heather Nauert, said, referring to the Russian military, as she responded to a question about the S-300.
“That would be a sort of a serious escalation” of the situation on the ground in Syria, she added, while refusing to comment further on the issue. Earlier on Tuesday, the Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu told President Vladimir Putin that the Russian military have completed the delivery.
The hardware supplied to Syria consisted of 49 pieces of military equipment, including radars, control vehicles and four S-300 launchers, he added. A unified air defense control system will be created in Syria by October 20, while training of the Syrian crews will take three months, according to Shoigu. The new air defense systems will be particularly able to suppress satellite navigation, radars and communications systems of enemy aircraft over the Mediterranean Sea, in what might be a source of particular concern for the US and its allies.
Russia’s move follows the downing of the Il-20 reconnaissance plane over Syria. It was shot down by a Syrian air defense system while the Israeli jets used it as a cover during an air raid striking targets in the Latakia province. Tel Aviv denied responsibility for the tragedy while the Russian Defense Ministry presented a detailed report on the incident and radar data showing that an Israeli jet indeed used the Russian plane as a cover.

Captain…we have a problem.
Chris Pine and Chris Hemsworth have both walked away from Star Trek 4 following failed salary negotiations. Pine was going to reprise his role as Captain James T. Kirk for the fourth time. Hemsworth was going to return via time travel as Kirk’s father, who was introduced in the 2009 reboot’s memorable prologue. What happens next, especially since the rest of the cast is still on board, remains uncertain.
The Hollywood Reporter has the story, and it offers up a dark side to a franchise built upon hope and optimism. After all, money doesn’t exist in the utopian world created by Gene Roddenberry over 50 years ago…but it sure as hell exists right here and now, and Pine and Hemsworth felt they weren’t getting enough of it to step aboard the bridge again. Or rather, they felt Paramount was not honoring an existing deal.
According to THR, the actors and their reps “insist they have deals in place and that the studios are reneging on them, forcing them to take pay cuts as they try to budget a movie that is following a mediocre performer.” That mediocre performer is Star Trek Beyond, a very good movie that massively underperformed when it opened in 2016. That film grossed $ 343 million worldwide, but it cost $ 190 million. That’s not a great ratio when other franchise films regularly cross the $ 1 billion mark these days.
Still, it’s hard to blame Pine and Hemsworth for sticking to their guns and walking away if they’re not getting paid what they believe they should be paid. If you want to point fingers at someone, point them at Paramount.
So what does this mean for Star Trek 4? Well, Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg and John Cho are all expected to close their deals and return as Uhura, Spock, Dr. McCoy, Scotty, and Sulu, respectively. It’s possible that Kirk and his father could be recast. It’s also possible that Pine and Hemsworth return to the negotiating table and everything gets worked out. It’s also possible that they split the difference – cough up the cash for Pine since he’s the face of the rebooted franchise and recast his dearly departed dad with someone less expensive.
In any case, I’ll just come right out and say it: this flat-out sucks. I’ve been critical of the new Trek movies, but two of them have been winners, overcoming their flaws to reflect what makes this series so damn special. Pine did the impossible – he proved that someone else was capable of filling William Shatner’s boots. And Hemsworth’s entire career was built on his powerful scenes as George Kirk and seeing him return would have been a thrill. Then there’s the rest of the crew, played to perfection by a perfectly cast ensemble who give new life to beloved characters. I’d watch a Star Trek 4 starring everyone but Kirk, but would Paramount even consider making that?
It’s especially a bummer since Star Trek 4 was going to mark the first time a female director was going to steer a Trek movie. What does this mean for S.J. Clarkson? Will she stick around if things have to get retooled?
Anyway, it’s not like this spells the end of Star Trek. The recent series Star Trek: Discovery is returning for its second season next year and there’s a new TV show starring Patrick Stewart, reprising his role as Captain Picard, in the pipeline. And Pine has the Wonder Woman movies and Hemsworth has Thor and the rest of the cast are in high-demand. In the end, nothing and no one is irreparably damaged.
But still, it was a thrill to see Trek back on the big screen ever couple of years. I’ll cross my fingers and hope they can work this one out.

The 26-year-old’s impressive displays in the World Cup led to several inquiries about his availability and this week he jetted in to London for talks with English Championship side Queens Park Rangers.
However, AAP has been told a switch to Loftus Road, where he would have linked up with close friend and Socceroos teammate Massimo Luongo has hit the buffers after Jiangsu demanded a fee in excess of $ 1 million.
With less than six months remaining on his contract, this also precludes any option of a loan deal.
Sainsbury has been told he is not wanted by the Chinese Super League outfit, who this week relegated him to their reserve squad having loaned him out to Swiss side Grasshoppers in January.
Despite this, Suning are insisting on being recompensed for his services after handing him a $ 10 million contract when he signed in January 2016.
Unless the club drops its demands the former Central Coast Mariners and PEC Zwolle stopper could be left in limbo until the new year with QPR appealing a Financial Fair Play (FFP) fine and unwilling to pay a fee for a player they know they can sign for free in January.
Rangers manager Steve McClaren is keen to add Sainsbury to his squad before the season starts on August 4 after experienced defenders Nedum Onuoha, Jack Robinson and James Perch left the club in June.
A decision taken by English clubs to close the transfer window early on August 9 immediately after a World Cup has further muddied the waters.
That move was made to allow squads to be finalised before the start of the Premier League campaign on August 10 but it has further complicated the picture with selling clubs driving up transfer fees and buyers mindful of FFP.
A side in Greece are also keen to speak to the Perth-born centre-half but unless Suning drop their demands, Sainsbury will head back to China this weekend and see out the rest of his contract before leaving in the new year.
German midfielder Sebastian Rudy is an injury doubt for his team’s crunch Group F match against South Korea on Wednesday, after suffering a suspected broken nose in the dramatic win against Sweden.

The Bayern Munich midfielder was left bloodied after taking an accidental boot to the face from Sweden’s Andreas Granqvist 30 minutes into the game in Sochi, and was subsequently replaced by Ilkay Gundogan.
After the game German boss Joachim Low confirmed that Rudy could be among the enforced changes he has to make for the crucial game against South Korea on Wednesday in Kazan.
“My players were tired at the end of the game and Marco [Reus] had cramps as early as 10 minutes before the end,” Low told reporters, according to Reuters.
“Jerome Boateng is suspended [after picking up a red card on 82 minutes] and Sebastian Rudy broke his nose. We will need a couple of days to recover. Rudy could potentially play on Wednesday but we will need to wait and see,” he added.
Low said he was optimistic that Mats Hummels, who missed the Sweden game, would be fit enough to face South Korea.
“Mats is likely to play and if he does then we have another option in defense,” Low said.
Four-time winners Germany rescued their World Cup hopes with a dramatic 95th-minute winner from Toni Kroos, who curled the ball into the top corner from a well-worked free-kick to hand Germany a 2-1 win.
Marco Reus had equalized shortly into the second half, after Ola Toivonen’s smart finish had given the Swedes a first-half lead.
Kroos’ late winner sparked wild celebrations from the German bench, but also led to a confrontation with Swedish staff and players after they appeared to be goaded by their rivals.
Swedish boss Janne Andersson accused the German staff of “rubbing our faces in it.”
A defeat for Germany would have spelled doom for their World Cup defence, and they now head into the game against South Korea with a chance of making the last 16 – but could still depend on the result of the Sweden-Mexico fixture.
The Germans have three points going in to the Group F finale, level with Sweden but three behind group leaders Mexico. South Korea are bottom of the pile with no wins from their two games in Russia.
