Presenting a morning new programme can be hard at times because things will inevitably go wrong.

It’s the curse of presenting live television; something will very often go wrong and there’s nothing presenters can do to stop it.

A presenter, for instance, could have a sneezing fit at any point, which is exactly what happened to Louise on BBC Breakfast this morning.

The presenter was in the process of having over to Matt Taylor, 42, so that he could present today’s weather.

However, before she finished, she sneezed multiple times, yet still managed to carry on regardless.

“Let’s find out about the weather . Matt’s had some lovely pictures. Morning,” said Louise before she had her sneezing fit.

She had to say this very quickly before her sneezing fit took place.

Matt was still able to present the weather perfectly and he wasn’t deterred by Louise’s interruption.

That said, Louise still felt the need to apologise once Matt had finished.

“Sorry about the sneeze. Thank you very much Matt. Thank you,” she said.

“You thought you got away with your sneeze, didn’t you,” joked Dan.

“I know when they’re arriving, and I thought if I go through it really quickly I won’t sneeze, but I did,” explained Louise.

She then felt the need to apologise again saying: “Sorry.”

“It was a quick little double as well,” Dan pointed out.

Dan continued: “You managed to keep it relatively quiet though.”

Louise then laughed and said: “It was not quiet. I’m sorry.”

Meanwhile, Dan teased his co-host, Louise, about her bedroom secret on yesterday’s programme.

“I have got a Blue Peter badge,” Louise admitted proudly.

“You know where yours is? I’ve lost mine,” Dan asked.

Louise replied: “I know exactly where mine is.”

“Do you really?” Dan asked with a smile.

“I should have brought it in today. It’s by my bed,” Louise revealed while laughing.

“Really? You put it on every morning, do you?” Dan joked.

Just as the FCC was about to vote on eliminating its net neutrality rules this afternoon, FCC Chairman Ajit Pai was interrupted by a staffer and then called for a break in the meeting.

“On advice of security, we need to take a brief recess,” Pai said.

A security official then advised attendees to leave all of their belongings in place, and everyone left the meeting room. According to a running camera used by The Washington Post for Facebook Live, police soon swept through the room with dogs. Initially, there was no word on when or if the meeting would continue.

Organizers of a ‘constructive disobedience’ talk, running parallel to the G20 Summit, say their event was “sabotaged” when the fire alarm at Hamburg’s Audimax auditorium sounded minutes before Julian Assange was due to speak.

The WikiLeaks editor had been due to discuss cyber war at the ‘anti-establishment’ conference Friday evening when attendees were suddenly forced to evacuate the venue. 

According to the group that arranged the talk, DiEM25, the alarm was triggered “just as we announced Julian Assange was about to connect via video link.”

DiEM25, which aims to “democratize Europe” and end “Brussels bureaucracy,” believe the incident was an act of sabotage.

“Someone appears to have manipulated the fire alarm. Everyone had to evacuate,” a DiEM25 spokesperson told RT.com.

“The firefighters came, found nothing, but didn’t let us back in. We’re continuing outside. We hope to still have Julian Assange [speaking] later.”

A spokesperson for the Hamburg fire services stated that the incident had been recorded as a “false alarm” after an “automatic fire alarm” at the venue went off.

“There were technical problems with the automatic alarm. No sabotage,” the spokesperson said.

With leaders including Russian President Vladimir Putin, US President Donald Trump and German Chancellor Angela Merkel set for two days of round-table discussions, the alternative summit saw former Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis speak before the alarm incident.

He described how “neo-liberalism took shape” at G20 meetings in the past.

“The Washington consensus was spread throughout the world. It was a time when the US, Japanese, British governments and the European Union were in unison about the need to push down wages, deny trade union rights, expand the reach of multinational corporations and create pure freedom for capital and commodities,” Varoufakis said.

He added that the 2008 global financial crisis had since created a new problem and described how world powers were now much more fragmented, giving rise to the “various cockroaches of xenophobic racism.”

Facebook has successfully disrupted a major spam operation the company says it has been combating for six months as part of a wider operation to rid the social media platform of hoaxes, misinformation and fake news.

The announcement, delivered Friday, comes one day after Facebook disclosed a crackdown on an estimated 67.7 to 137.8 million fake or duplicate accounts on the platform.

The offending fake accounts hailed from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and a host of other countries, Facebook’s Technical Program Manager, Shabnam Shaik, said in a blog post.

Those responsible used “sophisticated means that try to mask the fact that the accounts are part of the same coordinated operation,” in a bid to “deceptively gain new friend connections by liking and interacting primarily with popular publisher Pages” after which they would send spam.

Spammers used tricks to avoid being detected including “redirecting their traffic through ‘proxies’ that disguised their location.”

Facebook believes that both crackdowns will have an impact on the volume of news sites deliberately churning out imagined or fake stories with no factual grounding.

“By disrupting the campaign now, we expect that we will prevent this network of spammers from reaching its end goal of sending inauthentic material to large numbers of people,” Shaik said.

The fake news phenomenon ignited after President Donald Trump’s first press conference, claiming “You are fake news” whilst pointing toward a CNN reporter.

False news and misinformation veiled as genuine stories became a serious issue during the US election campaign and the presidential elections last year. Following unproven claims that Facebook contributed to the US presidential election result, last December, the web giant announced a plan to crack down on ‘fake news.’

To battle the spread of false information on the world’s largest social media platform, the Silicon Valley company partnered with fact checkers that are signatories of Poynter’s International Fact Checking Code of Principles. These include ABC News, FactCheck.org, the Associated Press, Snopes and Politifact.

Under the scheme, stories flagged by Facebook users as ‘fake news’ are passed on to these fact checkers for verification. If the fact-checkers agree that the story is false or misleading, it will appear in news feeds with a “disputed” tag attached, along with a link to a corresponding article explaining why it might be false. These posts then appear lower in the news feed and users will receive a warning before sharing the story.

Notorious hacker group OurMine is up to its old tricks, this time taking down several high-profile YouTube accounts and trolling millions of fans around the world in the latest in a long line of digital PR stunts.

“We have no bad intentions and only care about the security and privacy of your accounts and network,” OurMine states on its website. The group claimed it was the “biggest hack in YouTube history.”

This latest hack closely followed the group’s MO: video titles were changed to read “#OurMine,” while video descriptions were altered to inform YouTubers and subscribers alike of the group’s well-meaning troll.

“Hey, it’s OurMine, don’t worry we are just testing your security, please contact us for more information,” the group wrote.

In somewhat of a Pyrrhic victory, OurMine has struggled to manage the uptick in visitors to its website since the hack, however.

The target of the latest attack is the Multi-channel network MCN) Studio71 which boasts profiles such as RomanAtwoodVlogs (12 million subscribers), JustKiddingNews (1.6 million subscribers) and Wranglerstar (562,000 subscribers).

The self-described cyber security group also claimed responsibility for a similar hack of high-profile YouTubers via their MCN earlier this month.

The group also claimed responsibility for the infamous Britney Spears death hoax in December 2016, following a breach of Sony Music’s Twitter.

As if that wasn’t enough, the group has also successfully breached the accounts of high-profile members of the tech sector elite, including Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Mark and Randi Zuckerberg, Spotify founder Daniel Ek and Amazon CTO Werner Vogels, reports Wired.com. 

Within the tech industry, OurMine is classified as a ‘White Hat’ group, meaning it engages in ethical hacking with a focus on penetration testing to shore up a target’s cyber defenses. The term ‘White Hat’ stems from old western films in which the bad guy would typically wear a black hat while the hero of the tale would don a white stetson.

A pop-up music concert in New York’s Grand Central station, promoting the work of the Oscar-winning Syrian “humanitarian” group White Helmets, was disrupted by anti-war protesters.

While a full orchestra and choir, some wearing white helmets, pounded out Beethoven’s Ode to Joy against the backdrop of Grand Central Station in Manhattan on Friday, about a dozen anti-war activists protested the group’s presence.

Standing among the orchestra, anti-war activists held aloft signs that read “White Helmets are US Propaganda,”“No US bases in Syria,” and “This is US war agenda.”

Several activists carried a massive white banner with red lettering stating “US out of Everywhere,” and as the orchestra stopped playing, video shows activists chanting “US out of Syria.”

“We were there because the White Helmets are a PR effort for the US government to drum up support for intervention in Syria. We are opposed to US intervention in Syria and everywhere else, we thought it was important to protest this event,” an activist with Hands Off Syria told RT.

Activists refused to be identified because they’ve already faced harassment and lost jobs over their views on US involvement in Syria.

“It was bad, because they were taking a very beautiful and well-known music and basically trying to drum up war propaganda and sentiment to justify the war when in fact that the US has bases in Syria, the US has already invaded Syria, US is already responsible for the protracted war against the Syrian people. Half of the country are refugees,” Another activist told RT. “And they want to give you Beethoven’s Ninth [Symphony]. That’s sick.”

Activists who handed out leaflets about the White Helmets said three or four of the players in the concert felt used realizing what they were associating with.

A Netflix documentary promoting the work of the White Helmets just won an Academy Award, but the recognition comes amid growing controversy about the group and its alleged neutrality.

The group first gained notice when videos started being circulated showing men in white helmets assisting people in Syria, rescuing children and cleaning up bombed out sites in territories held by the rebels.

The appearance of the group’s activities coincided with the Russian government’s assistance to the Syrian Government in efforts to rid itself of Al-Qaeda. Russian intervention infuriated the Obama administration, which has sought regime change in Syria.

Since then, allegations have arisen that the White Helmets are little more than a propaganda effort funded by the US government.

“All you have to do is look at their funding source – which is the US government – specifically the USAID, and the UK foreign office have given tens of millions of dollars to this group which is run by the Syria Civil Defense, which is a PR firm,” independent journalist Rania Khalek told RT. “The purpose of all this is to push for regime change in the public sphere. To paint a narrative that pushes for escalation and military intervention in Syria. ”

In April 2016, the State Department admitted the US had mysteriously revoked the visa of White Helmets leader Raed Saleh over ties with terrorist groups, even as the group received $ 23 million in US taxpayer funds. Saleh was able to attend the Academy Awards in February after a federal court overruled the Trump administration’s travel restrictions on Syrians and residents of six other majority-Muslim countries.
