Stacey Farber, aka Degrassi‘s Ellie Nash, will recur on The CW’s Superman & Lois as Leslie Larr, the right hand to one of the most influential people on the planet, The Wrap reports. That sure sounds like the Supergirl baddie played by Jon Cryer, doesn’t it?

Leslie is described as having “gone from a young, idealistic dreamer to a hardened, world-worn dream killer.” She is athletic, strong and, oftentimes, heartless.

Farber’s other TV credits include the short-lived CW drama Cult, as well as Saving Hope and 18 to Life.

Superman & Lois is slated to premiere in January 2021.

Drake is doing whatever it takes to make sure his latest music video goes viral, enlisting some help from his former Degrassi: The Next Generation co-stars.

The rapper, who played Jimmy Brooks on the Canadian teen drama from 2001 to 2009, stages a high school reunion in the Karena Evans-directed music video for his latest single “I’m Upset,” sending him back to his old stomping grounds.

In addition to Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith (aka Jay and Silent Bob), who appeared on Degrassi for a few episodes in Season 4, the following 19 alumni show up in the video: Shane Kippel (Spinner), Stacey Farber (Ellie), Adamo Ruggiero (Marco), Jake Epstein (Craig), Christina Schmidt (Terri), Andrea Lewis (Hazel), Melissa McIntyre (Ashley), Linlyn Lue (Ms. Kwan), Stefan Brogren (Snake), Ephram Ellis (Rick), Jake Goldsbie (Toby), Marc Donato (Derek), Dalmar Abuzeid (Danny), A.J. Saudin (Connor), Miriam McDonald (Emma), Cassie Steele (Manny), Nina Dobrev (Mia), Sarah Barrable-Tishauer (Liberty) and Paula Brancati (Jane).

Beyond the obvious joy of seeing all these good-natured Canadians under one roof again, the music video features plenty of nods to the classic soap that longtime fans will appreciate — the best, of course, being the angry mob getting revenge on Rick for famously paralyzing Drake’s wheelchair-bound character.

Degrassi: Next Class‘ fourth season — which you should definitely finish binging before reading any further — continued the franchise’s time-honored tradition of mixing the topical with the twisted, while also delivering a mighty handsome nod to its past.

Honestly, I don’t think I can even exaggerate how “there” this season went. Hell, it wouldn’t even be too much to say that this season snatched the fandom’s collective wig — because a character literally snatched her own wig. (I’ll admit to gasping out loud.) But once the laughter subsided, the scene pivoted into a beautiful, one-of-a-kind, only-on-Degrassi moment for a character at a crossroads. #TeamYael

And then there was the relationship drama, including Degrassi‘s first official polyamorous relationship — previously known around the teen TV scene as a “thruple.” Even if one third of the triangle wasn’t completely unhinged, there’s no way that arrangement was going to end well. And if you disagree, let me remind you of the two words that started this mess in the first place: Orgy. Cupcakes.

Given how much went down this season, you can imagine how difficult it was for Team TVLine to choose just 10 of our favorite moments, ranging from awkward encounters (i.e. Lola offending Saad) to wet-and-wild disasters (i.e. Tristan peeing on Miles). And yet, we managed.

(Well, an actual bomb threat. But that’s still pretty messed up, even by this show’s standards.)

The finale picked up immediately after Zig’s tumble down the hill, with Maya happening upon an out-of-her-mind Esme, who somehow blamed Maya for the “accident.” In a somewhat full-circle act of bravery, Maya traversed the treacherous hill (and in heels, no less!) to rescue her unconscious ex.

(Side question: Which Degrassi faculty members still think it’s a good idea to hold school-sanctioned dances? Have they already forgotten the infamous Snowball lockdown of Season 1? Or the time Adam was shot by Bianca’s ex-boyfriend at prom? Or when that casino-themed dance was shut down because Fitz pulled a knife on Eli and Clare?)

Anyway, Esme retreated to Hollingsworth Manor to brainstorm insane new ways to win back Zig, eventually working her one-speed brain to the point of exhaustion. And just when it looked like she wouldn’t be attending graduation, she crawled out of her little shame hole to present Zig with a gift: a new motorcycle… which she smashed to pieces after finally accepting (I think?) that he really doesn’t love her. (Personally, I’m a little disappointed that we didn’t get to see Esme ride that damn hog straight into the gymnasium for an epic graduation interruption, but I’ll take what I can get.)

After that mess, it was relatively smooth sailing for Maya and Zig, neither of whom are exactly sure what they want to do with their futures. But if that shot of the couple driving together in the post-graduation montage is any indication, they’ll be facing those uncertain futures together.

And here’s how things turned out for everybody else…

Degrassi: Next Class Finale* It was a finale of major highs and crushing lows for Zoë, who used the confidence she gained from winning prom queen to invite her mom to graduation. It seemed like fences were finally being mended, but Zoë’s hopes were dashed when her dad showed up to give her a box of documents — things she needed for college university — essentially implying that Zoë’s mother wanted nothing more to do with her. Fortunately, even after a rocky valedictorian speech, Zoë was reminded that her friends are members of her family, too. And more good news: Per the social-media montage at the end of the finale, it looks like she and Rasha are still going strong post-graduation.

* Grace got a new set of lungs, and Jonah stood by her side every step of the way.

* Tristan stuck around to officially earn his high school diploma — with a little help from his hospital roomie.

* Miles and Winston indeed backpacked through Europe, posting all sorts of ridiculous photos along the way. And probably making out when no one was looking, what do I know?

Maya’s return to school in the fourth season premiere of Degrassi: Next Class set the stage for a semester of — wait for it … are you ready? — drama!

At first, I expected Maya’s classmates would go out of their way to make her assimilation as comfortable as possible. But then I remembered that she goes to Degrassi Community School, where everybody has to make everybody else’s problems about them.

Take Esme, for example. She felt so threatened by Zig spending time with Maya that she got naked for the guy who helped Maya onto the roof just to make Zig jealous. (I guess she didn’t technically know that Saad opened the door when they partnered for the art project, but her clothing-optional shenanigans still landed everyone in detention.)

Speaking of vengeful teens, Frankie looked none too pleased to see Jonah — for whom she still carries an embarrassingly large torch — kissing Grace in front of the entire school. Or at least in front of everyone who attended the anti-suicide carnival.

But the premiere’s most fascinating storyline actually centered around Yael, who agreed to let Lola help her buy a new bra after complaining that her large chest prohibits her from having fun with her friends. Like most of Lola’s plans, unfortunately, the makeover backfired, resulting in Yael returning to the store solo… to try on binders for her chest!
