NCIS LA season 12: Sam Hanna left fearing for daughter Kam’s future as he seeks Deeks help https://briefnews.eu/ncis-la-season-12-sam-hanna-left-fearing-for-daughter-kams-future-as-he-seeks-deeks-help/ https://briefnews.eu/ncis-la-season-12-sam-hanna-left-fearing-for-daughter-kams-future-as-he-seeks-deeks-help/#respond Sun, 28 Feb 2021 07:56:13 +0000 https://briefnews.eu/ncis-la-season-12-sam-hanna-left-fearing-for-daughter-kams-future-as-he-seeks-deeks-help/

Kamran ‘Kam’ Hanna (played by Kayla Smith) has been put through the wringer after landing more of a recurring role in NCIS: LA season 12. At the start of the CBS series, she faced some tough decisions about her future as the teen weighed up her options with dad Sam (LL Cool J) before falling victim to a terrifying kidnapping just a few episodes ago.

However, luckily for Kam, Sam isn’t exactly an NCIS agent to be messed with.

In season 12, episode 10, titled The Frogman’s daughter, Kam was shown locked up behind bars and even faced physical altercations as she tried to fight her way to safety.

Ultimately, however, it was dad Sam who broke down barrier after barrier to save his daughter and get her back to safety.

Despite Kam being back in his life and safe and sound, Sam still looks like he’s going to face some tough decisions about Kam judging by a preview clip from episode 12.

“I don’t want her to throw this opportunity away,” Sam continues. “It’s all she’s ever dreamed of.”

Deeks then reels off a story one of his old pals told him about a family business before the promo cuts off.

But how will Sam deal with his daughter’s newfound attitude and plans to ditch her future in Indianapolis?

He certainly seems on edge about the whole ordeal, but will he be able to steer her on the right path?

In episode 12, fans will also see Deeks and Kensi (Daniela Ruah) take extra steps towards their dream of a baby together.

After facing several challenges in season 12, things are starting to look up as they plan to start a family.

But with Deeks reluctant to carry out the at-home tests, will there be a happy ending for the pair?

NCIS: LA season 12 continues Sundays on CBS in the USA.

Kellyanne Conway’s Daughter Claudia Auditions for American Idol — Watch https://briefnews.eu/kellyanne-conways-daughter-claudia-auditions-for-american-idol-watch/ https://briefnews.eu/kellyanne-conways-daughter-claudia-auditions-for-american-idol-watch/#respond Tue, 09 Feb 2021 10:02:56 +0000 https://briefnews.eu/kellyanne-conways-daughter-claudia-auditions-for-american-idol-watch/

Claudia Conway is looking to succeed where her mother’s former employer could not, by securing America’s vote.

The 16-year-old daughter of Donald Trump’s onetime senior counselor Kellyanne Conway appears in a new promo for the upcoming 19th season of American Idol, which blew up Twitter during Monday’s episode of The Bachelor.

“I’m very nervous, but very excited,” Conway says in the promo, referring to her parents as “high-profile political figures” upon her dramatic meeting with the judges.

Watch the full promo below:

While this is sure to take most readers by surprise, it should be noted that Conway hinted at her involvement with the ABC show in late 2020 when she posted a TikTok with current Idol judge Katy Perry. (Other judges include Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, with Ryan Seacrest also returning as host.)

Conway certainly isn’t the first public figure with political connections to make the leap to reality television. Let us take a moment to recall Sarah Palin’s unforgettable performance of “Baby Got Back” on The Masked Singer, or Sean Spicer’s haunting moves during his season of Dancing With the Stars. Honestly, we could list more examples, but we’ve inflicted enough damage for one night.

American Idol returns Sunday, Feb. 14 at 8/7c. Hit PLAY on the video above, then drop a comment with your thoughts (if any?) below.

“He was thrilled by the way everything had gone and what he loved, was to do the things.”

Michael shared Tom’s disbelief at being able to take part in events such as the Royal Variety Show and bagging a number one single in the UK charts.

“There wasn’t a moment where he ever felt, ‘This isn’t right, I want to pull back from this.’

“He grasped every opportunity, he loved it and he knew he was doing the right thing, he felt in his heart of hearts,” Michael gushed.

The One Show airs weekdays from 7pm on BBC One.

Last Man Standing Premiere: EP Talks Time Jump, Kristin and Ryan’s MIA Daughter, Scrapped Season 8 Finale https://briefnews.eu/last-man-standing-premiere-ep-talks-time-jump-kristin-and-ryans-mia-daughter-scrapped-season-8-finale/ https://briefnews.eu/last-man-standing-premiere-ep-talks-time-jump-kristin-and-ryans-mia-daughter-scrapped-season-8-finale/#respond Mon, 04 Jan 2021 08:41:34 +0000 https://briefnews.eu/last-man-standing-premiere-ep-talks-time-jump-kristin-and-ryans-mia-daughter-scrapped-season-8-finale/ Last Man Standing‘s final season premiere spent little time quarantined with the Baxters before it jumped ahead to a post-COVID world, where Mike and Vanessa had not one, but two new grandchildren: Mandy and Kyle’s firstborn Sarah (played by newcomer Sophia McKinlay), and Kristin and Ryan’s second child, a daughter named Evelyn.

The latter was mentioned but not seen during Sunday’s episode, which saw the long-running Tim Allen comedy jump ahead to the year 2023 to avoid stories set during the pandemic. As showrunner Kevin Abbott previously told TVLine, “People are depressed enough without having to look for us to be depressed,” hence the decision to sidestep COVID-19. “[The time jump] allowed us to tell stories from a positive point of view while addressing the impact [the pandemic has had] on our characters,” which viewers will see more of in subsequent episodes.

Below, Abbott expands on the decisions to jump forward in time and keep Kristin and Ryan’s daughter off screen, and “spoils” the episode that LMS fans won’t get the chance to see.

TVLINE | When we last spoke in April, production had been shut down one episode shy of completing Season 8. But you already had a script written, which featured the birth of Kristin and Ryan’s daughter…
My God, that’s right!

TVLINE | The premiere we saw tonight was not that episode. When did it become apparent that you had to toss the script and start from scratch?
Pretty early on. Unfortunately, things had changed too much, and it just was becoming a pain. Too much of the script would have to change anyway. And then at the end of the day, we didn’t have Kaitlyn Dever. She couldn’t make it back because of everything that was going on, so it made no sense. She was a major player in that episode.

TVLINE | How much debate was there about whether or not to incorporate the pandemic? And how much you’d focus on it before you moved forward?
The biggest question we had coming into [Season 9] was, “How do we deal with everything that’s going on?” The pandemic, the social justice movements, the economic downturn, the election… a lot of unknowns. And coming back in January, we’re looking at it going, “OK, there are already going to be other comedies on the air. By the time we get back, we’re going to be the equivalent of airline food jokes,” you know? It’s going to be really warmed over stuff. That kept me up for a couple of nights [because] it wasn’t just one event we were trying to forecast. It was many, many events that could go any direction.

TVLINE | How did you land on the decision to do a three-year time jump, to a post-COVID world?
My writers pitched [the time jump], which I just adored. I think our mission is to be positive, and to show people the humor in life’s situations. I enjoy the darker episode every now and again, but generally, we want to entertain.

TVLINE | And on a multi-camera sitcom, you’re probably thinking in terms of syndication, “Who’s going to want to relive COVID?”
Yeah. I mean, I’ve been doing this for a long time now, and I’m always aware of that, that hey, a show like this is going to continue to run for a long time, and what seems interesting and current now can seem very dated and uninteresting later on. And we’re a smaller show. We tell small stories about life and family. I’m OK with telling stories about this event that changed [us] in such a way. Here’s the story we’re telling because of that. That, I think, is our mandate.

Last Man Standing Season 9TVLINE | Was there any other reason for the time jump, beyond COVID?
Part of it, quite honestly, was [avoiding] having babies on the stage. And that, in some ways, is practical from a storytelling point of view. When you have new parents [on a sitcom], it breaks reality constantly because new parents are only with their babies — that’s it. The babies demand their attention 100 percent of the time, so it limits what the characters can do unless you want to believe that they’re horrible parents, or you make an excuse every time they enter the room, like the baby’s just down for a nap.

TVLINE | Neither Sunday’s premiere nor Episode 2 — aka the Home Improvement “crossover” (airing Thursday) — introduces Kristin and Ryan’s daughter, who would have been born at the end of Season 8. She does exist, though… right?
Well, that was the episode that’s never going to be seen. [Laughs] Her name is Evelyn.

Last Man Standing Season 9, Episode 1TVLINE | She was mentioned during a conversation between Kristin and Chuck, but you never specified who Evelyn was. I thought Kris was referring to Eve.
She was named after Eve. It was a great, lovely story [that we had planned for our scrapped Season 8 finale], where Eve finds out that Kristin names her daughter after her. Like with Sarah, we’re probably not going to see a lot of Evelyn, but [these children] impact our characters and what they’re doing with their lives.

TVLINE | The future version of Mike seems a bit older, a bit wiser, a bit more reflective about what he has and what he stands to lose — especially when it comes time for Mandy and Kyle to move out again. Is that what you were going for in that final scene between father and daughter?
You nailed it, absolutely nailed it. Yes, we were. Mike has been affected by everything that’s gone on as well, and part of that is recognizing that we’re not guaranteed anything, you know? We’re not guaranteed time, we’re not guaranteed family, and Mike is starting to think in terms of his post-Outdoor Man [life], you know? He’s thinking about his family. The premiere episode is all about recognizing that that fatherly instinct never goes away. You still want to protect your kids no matter how old they are. This final season is going to be about Mike’s journey more than almost anything else — where Mike is going to end up at the end of this season, and what that means for him going forward.

Piers Morgan slams Gove as daughter gets covid test within 24 hours ‘One rule for you!’ https://briefnews.eu/piers-morgan-slams-gove-as-daughter-gets-covid-test-within-24-hours-one-rule-for-you/ https://briefnews.eu/piers-morgan-slams-gove-as-daughter-gets-covid-test-within-24-hours-one-rule-for-you/#respond Mon, 13 Apr 2020 08:33:58 +0000 https://briefnews.eu/piers-morgan-slams-gove-as-daughter-gets-covid-test-within-24-hours-one-rule-for-you/

BACK BRITAIN’S BRAVE NHS HEROES – CLICK HERE NOW

Despite it being Bank Holiday Monday, Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid were back at the helm of Good Morning Britain earlier today, delivering the latest news and discussions surrounding the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the nation. Before introducing the latest guests onto the show, Morgan spoke about a news story which has come to light; Michael Gove MP getting a covid-19 test for his daughter who developed virus symptoms in order to come out of self-isolation and return to work.

“Before we get to our panel, a story we haven’t discussed; Michael Gove obviously a senior member of the government, was seen out jogging and this surprised people cause he’s supposed to be under 14-day self-isolation because one of his household had shown symptoms of the virus,” Morgan began.

“Anyway, it then turns out that it was his daughter who had shown the symptoms, and he had gone to Chief Medical Officer [Dr.] Chris White – Michael Gove – and asked for permission to test his daughter so he could return to full government detail.”

“Something every NHS worker in the country would like to be able to do,” Reid interjected and pointed out.

“His daughter showed symptoms on April 5, it now transpires within 24 hours Mr Whitty had approved the request by Mr Gove for his daughter to be tested,” Morgan read.

“By Wednesday, the NHS test had come back negative. Now, they have taken a position if you are a senior member of the government in the fight against this [coronavirus] you should be back at your workplace as soon as possible.

“You could argue you could do the work as well from his home, and you could also argue – as I’m sure as many people will this morning – that if you’re a front line NHS worker in exactly the same position, why are you not getting a test?” Morgan continued.

He then explained how one paramedic show symptoms of coronavirus and he and his household of three other paramedics all had to self-isolate because they couldn’t get a test to rule out whether or not they all had the disease.

“What is the difference between Michael Give and an NHS worker? He can carry on working from home!” Morgan slammed.

“This is what we want for everybody on the frontline, the ability to test them immediately, so if they’re negative they can get on with their lives and go back to work,” he continued to rant.

Later on in the show, Morgan and Reid were joined by Rachel Reeves MP, Shadow Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and she was asked whether she knew about Gove’s daughter getting a coronavirus test.

Morgan tried again: “Should he [Gove] have done this?”

“I would have reservations, I wasn’t aware of it [happening] but there shouldn’t be one rule for some and another,” Reeves said.

“Doctors and nurses have to be at their work place, you are currently working fro your home, Michael Gove could have worked from home!” Morgan remarked.

“I’d like to hear Michael Give explain why he can do this! Is it one rule for you and another for doctors, surgeons and everyone who has to self-isolate?”

It comes after Gove’s wife Sara Vine told the Daily Mail, whom she writes a newspaper column for about her family being on lockdown.

She said her daughter, Beatrice, 17, had come down with a high fever and “assorted Covid-19 symptoms” last Sunday (April 5).

“She seems perfectly fine now (oh, blissful youth),” she added. “But, as a precaution, the rest of us are now self-isolating, including my husband.”

Gove tweeted confirmation of his family’s isolation, he wrote: “Many thanks for kind messages. In accordance with the guidance, I am isolating at home after a member of my family started to display mild symptoms of coronavirus on Sunday.

“I have not displayed any symptoms and am continuing to work as normal.”

Understandably, some viewers were furious with this news.

Taking to Twitter to comment, one said: “@piersmorgan I’m glad you ripped Michael gove to shreds ! HE should of got in line and wait for a test like the rest of us waiting for a covid19 test ! @ITV @GMB #ITV #GMB  #COVID19 #PPE #UKlockdown.”

“One rule for gove and the Tories one rule for NHS workers. Test them not us. Well said @piersmorgan #GMB,” another remarked.

Someone else commented: “Great question again on #gmb from @piersmorgan .. no chance of a straight answer out of @michaelgove . One rule for them another for the rest. Disgusting that he gets a test for his daughter and #NHS staff have to blindly continue the front line fight without test..”

However, one argued: “Weather u agree or not it obvious why gove got a test ….. he’s a member of the front bench government with the PM sick they can’t aford to let another one get sick these people are running the country in a crisis and need to be givin first dibs , like it or not #GMB.”

DWTS: Christie Brinkley Drops Out After Injury, Daughter Sailor to Take Her Place https://briefnews.eu/dwts-christie-brinkley-drops-out-after-injury-daughter-sailor-to-take-her-place/ https://briefnews.eu/dwts-christie-brinkley-drops-out-after-injury-daughter-sailor-to-take-her-place/#respond Mon, 16 Sep 2019 13:22:50 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/dwts-christie-brinkley-drops-out-after-injury-daughter-sailor-to-take-her-place/

Christie Brinkley‘s pursuit of the Mirrorball is over before it even began. Ahead of Monday’s Dancing With the Stars premiere, the supermodel has dropped out of Season 28 due to an injury.

Instead, Brinkley’s daughter Sailor Brinkley-Cook will step in for the remainder of the season, and she plans to perform a premiere routine despite having little time to rehearse.

“While rehearsing for the premiere of Dancing with the Stars, Christie Brinkley suffered injuries which required surgery to her wrist and arm. She is unable to continue her planned participation on the show,” ABC and BBC Studios confirmed in a statement. “Keeping it all in the family, her daughter Sailor Brinkley-Cook, a Sports Illustrated model, has chosen to quickly step in with hours to learn the entire routine and will compete in her mother’s place for the remainder of the season. We wish Christie a full and speedy recovery and look forward to seeing her in the audience, whenever possible, proudly supporting Sailor.”

DWTS is keeping its celebrity/pro dancer pairings under wraps until tonight’s premiere, but it’s rumored that Brinkley-Cook will be dancing with Val Chmerkovskiy. Season 28 kicks off at 8/7c on ABC.

Stranger Things season 4: Is Eleven actually Hopper’s daughter Sara? Here’s the evidence https://briefnews.eu/stranger-things-season-4-is-eleven-actually-hoppers-daughter-sara-heres-the-evidence/ https://briefnews.eu/stranger-things-season-4-is-eleven-actually-hoppers-daughter-sara-heres-the-evidence/#respond Fri, 23 Aug 2019 03:59:23 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/stranger-things-season-4-is-eleven-actually-hoppers-daughter-sara-heres-the-evidence/

In the Stranger Things season one finale fans were launched into Hopper’s (Played by David Harbour) harrowing backstory that revealed he once had a daughter called Sara who sadly passed away.

While Joyce (Winona Ryder) and Hopper set off to find Will in the Upside down, Hopper recalled a memory of his daughter triggered by Joyce having difficulty breathing in the new atmosphere.

Fans will remember the unexpected flashback scene that saw Hopper’s young daughter struggle to breathe as she battles cancer.

A later scene in the Netflix Sci-fi showed Sara is holding a stuffed tiger as Hopper reads to her in a hospital bed, as she slowly drifts away leaving her parents devastated.

However, one clever theory suggests Sara is actually still alive, and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) is revealed as Hopper’s daughter in a clue fans missed.

Viewers will remember the scene in the season one finale that saw Hopper exit the hospital and get into a black car with two men in suits.

However, the fan noticed something strange about the vehicle’s number plate.

Reddit user WaffleStomper1229 read: “The camera hangs on the license plate for about 2 seconds and the plate reads “2Xw91E1” Which I interpreted as ‘Two times, watch 9-1 Episode 1’

On a rewatch of the episode, the fan noticed the open shot after the credits was of a drawing on Chief Hopper’s living room wall.

the fan continued: “The drawing is a stick figure drawing of presumably Hopper, his wife and daughter.

READ MORE: Stranger Things season 4: The American’s identity revealed?

“It is in the same style as the drawing that Hopper finds when he breaks into the lab earlier in the season when he thinks Will is being held hostage by the ‘Government Organization’.

Moreover, the episode referred to the episode fans met Hopper’s daughter and the similarities between her and Eleven when she wears the blonde wig.

The user added: “Earlier in the season Eleven is looking at her reflection with the blonde wig on and is fascinated with how she looks.

“Hopper believes that the government can completely cover up someones death, even though doctors have presumed the person dead and realizes this to be true”

Fans will remember the two faked deaths in season one when Hopper discovers Will’s body is a fake at the morgue, and also the lie that Eleven was miscarried when she was actually taken to a lab as a subject.

The fan concluded: “What if that was all a red herring? What if 11 is not this woman’s daughter but is actually the daughter of Chief Hopper?”

The theory comes after the original script pitched by the Duffer brothers made a shock revelation about Will Byers’ (Noah Schnapp) sexuality.

Will’s introduction reads: “WILL BYERS, twelve, is a sweet, sensitive kid with sexual identity issues.”

“He only recently came to the realisation that he does not fit into 1980s definition of ‘normal.’ His innocent choices, such as his colourful clothes, prove a constant source of bullying.

“Like Mike, Will escapes through fantasy gaming, where he can be himself, uninhibited.”

Stranger Things series 3 is now available to stream on Netflix.

Ashley Tisdale Joins Carol’s Second Act as Patricia Heaton’s Daughter in Recast https://briefnews.eu/ashley-tisdale-joins-carols-second-act-as-patricia-heatons-daughter-in-recast/ https://briefnews.eu/ashley-tisdale-joins-carols-second-act-as-patricia-heatons-daughter-in-recast/#respond Fri, 07 Jun 2019 19:28:21 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/ashley-tisdale-joins-carols-second-act-as-patricia-heatons-daughter-in-recast/

This fall, Ashley Tisdale will get to call Patricia Heaton mom. The actress has joined the cast of Heaton’s CBS sitcom Carol’s Second Act, replacing Bonnie Dennison as Carol’s daughter Jenny, our sister site Deadline reports.

Fortunately, the recasting won’t require too many reshoots, as Jenny was only introduced towards the end of the pilot. Jenny is a pharmaceutical rep assigned to the hospital where her mother is working as an intern. Per the official character description, her “bubbly and outgoing personality and carefree spirit is a buoyant counterpoint to Carol’s neurotic medical colleagues.”

The cast of Carol’s Second Act also includes Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Ito Aghayere (Unforgettable), Jean-Luc Bilodeau (Baby Daddy) and Sabrina Jalees (Transparent). The comedy will air Thursdays at 9:30/8:30c this fall.

Though Tisdale is best known for playing Sharpay Evans in Disney Channel’s High School Musical franchise, she has also starred in a number of TV shows, including Disney’s The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, The CW’s Hellcats, TBS’ Clipped and Disney’s Phineas and Ferb. She has also recurred on several shows, including FX’s Sons of Anarchy and Freeform’s Young & Hungry, the latter of which counted her as an executive producer.

Tisdale will also remain a series regular on Netflix’s upcoming comedy series Merry Happy Whatever. Your thoughts on this recasting? Drop ’em in a comment below.

Shameless Winter Premiere Recap: Like Father, Like Daughter — Plus, Grade It! https://briefnews.eu/shameless-winter-premiere-recap-like-father-like-daughter-plus-grade-it/ https://briefnews.eu/shameless-winter-premiere-recap-like-father-like-daughter-plus-grade-it/#respond Mon, 21 Jan 2019 02:59:44 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/shameless-winter-premiere-recap-like-father-like-daughter-plus-grade-it/ After Shameless‘ Season 9 winter premiere on Sunday, you might have been left wondering: Has Fiona officially become Frank?

From the second the episode starts, it’s clear that Fi is in trouble. She’s drinking vodka first thing in the morning and then at work, while lashing out at customers and going on a weird rampage about all the gum stuck under the tables. When she finds out that her former building is being knocked down to make room for condos, that only fuels her bender. And the cashier at the local convenience store, where Fiona stocks up on booze and cigarettes, greets her like the daily regular that she is.

Shameless RecapBack at home, Debbie discovers that her sister hasn’t paid any bills, so bye-bye, electricity. Debs gives the utility companies different fake sob stories to keep the lights, cable and such on. The Gallaghers are very good at scamming, so it works, but the squirrel fund is now back, and everyone must contribute.

But the most troubling evidence of Fiona’s descent might be her drunkenly taking up residence in Frank’s seat at the Alibi and refusing to give it back to him. Then she happily accepts when a guy offers to buy her a drink, but Kev cuts her off and throws the guy out. Later that evening, Kev delivers a passed-out Fi to her siblings. “She do this a lot?” Lip’s girlfriend Tami asks, to which he glumly replies, “Yeah. Lately.”

Elsewhere in the episode:

Shameless Recap* Frank’s new squeeze Ingrid asks Frank to fertilize her eggs, which he agrees to. Unfortunately for him, his swimmers are more like drowners, so he tricks Carl into handing over some of his semen.

* Carl and his girlfriend start a racketeering operation where they hog scooters and charge people to use them. Their enterprise quickly morphs when they realize they can make money off just recharging them. They drive around the city, picking up scooters, and snag the neighbor’s electricity to power them up. Like I said, the Gallaghers are good at scams.

* Kev and V become foster parents to a 12-year-old immigrant boy. Kev is thrilled with the kid’s amazing throwing arm and the possibility of finally having a son. But after learning that the boy has a family he was separated from while crossing the border for asylum, V insists that they can’t keep him.

Shameless Recap* Tami is determined to drag Lip into mature adulthood, taking him to see an apartment so they can have a nice place to have sex. And don’t get her started on the Gallaghers’ dirty kitchen sponge and shared underwear situations. Lip, in turn, suggests turning the Gallagher basement — you know, the one where all the dogs died — into a bedroom.

Shameless fans, what did you think of the show’s return? Grade it via the poll, then hit the comments to back up your pick!
