Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead is, not to put too fine a point on it, a must-see for fans of Daryl and, for that matter, his four-legged friend, Dog. “It tells a story about what was going on with Daryl during the long stretch of time that he was away [futilely searching for his lost buddy, Rick] and how he came to have this dog,” showrunner Angela Kang tells TVLine.

It also tells a story about how Norman Reedus’ beloved alter ego came to make the acquaintance of a mystery woman named Leah, played by True Blood alum Lynn Collins. “This character comes into Daryl’s life at a time when they’re both very raw and vulnerable,” previews Kang, adding as if the teaser photo of Leah holding a gun on Daryl wasn’t a bit of a tip-off, “They have this very complex relationship that takes a long time before it starts to thaw.”

When it does finally begin to defrost, however, Leah comes to have a significant impact on our taciturn protagonist. “She is somebody who obviously left a mark on Daryl,” the executive producer hints. Ultimately, how he regards her becomes “all part of his guilt over time in the apocalypse.”

Intrigued? Having seen Sunday’s “Find Me” (9/8c, AMC), we can say with some certainty that you should be. While you’re here, check out photos from the episode in the gallery above, then hit the comments with your wish list for the remainder of Season 10’s bonus episodes.

If anyone’s more stoked than fans about The Walking Dead’s “Caryl” spinoff, it’s Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride, the actors who have brought them to life for a decade. “In playing Carol, and as a viewer of the show, I’ve… long been intrigued with Daryl and Carol,” McBride said in a statement, “and by what so early on between them, even then, felt somehow bound.

“Their shared history is long, and each’s own personal fight to survive, even longer — the more obvious aspect of what has kept them close and loyal,” she continued. “But there is also a rather mysterious aspect to their fondness for one another that I enjoy, and their playfulness when the world permits.”

Reedus’ sentiments echo those of his leading lady, the flagship series’ only other remaining original cast member. After noting that The Walking Dead had “changed my life and career,” he said that “Daryl’s relationship with Carol has always been my favorite relationship on the show — sorry, Rick. I love the way these characters interact and relate to each other on so many levels and can’t wait to see where their ride goes from here.”

Added McBride: Walking Dead showrunner — and the spinoff’s co-creator — Angela Kang “has a way of shaking things up in great and unexpected ways. She’s like a kid playing with the dimmer switch! I’m very excited” to see what she comes up with.

What about you? Are you psyched about the spinoff? Any other characters you’d like to see it include (besides Dog, of course)? Hit the comments.

The Walking Dead season 10: Daryl Dixon star teases ’flammable’ scenes amid Whisperer war https://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-season-10-daryl-dixon-star-teases-flammable-scenes-amid-whisperer-war/ https://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-season-10-daryl-dixon-star-teases-flammable-scenes-amid-whisperer-war/#respond Tue, 22 Oct 2019 02:00:37 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-season-10-daryl-dixon-star-teases-flammable-scenes-amid-whisperer-war/

However, when asked to describe the upcoming plot in one word he simply used the word “combustible”.

He added: “The whole thing is flammable. Just wait. It gets really crazy.”

The first episode of the new season saw the group battle flames and a whole sea of Walkers after an old Russian satellite fell out of orbit, setting the woods alight.

Although there is still a lot of speculation as tho why the satellite fell, it seems there will be more devastation in upcoming episodes.

Fear the Walking Dead season 5 spoilers: Daryl Dixon to cross over in huge Dwight twist? https://briefnews.eu/fear-the-walking-dead-season-5-spoilers-daryl-dixon-to-cross-over-in-huge-dwight-twist/ https://briefnews.eu/fear-the-walking-dead-season-5-spoilers-daryl-dixon-to-cross-over-in-huge-dwight-twist/#respond Fri, 21 Jun 2019 05:51:44 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/fear-the-walking-dead-season-5-spoilers-daryl-dixon-to-cross-over-in-huge-dwight-twist/

In the Fear the Walking Dead episode, Dwight (played by Austin Amelio) joined Morgan Jones (Lennie James) in crossing over to the AMC spinoff.

His crossover has been teased for a long time and fans finally saw him at a Wild West theme town.

He was nearly involved in a vicious gun fight but was then saved by John (Garret Dillahunt) and June (Jenna Elfman) and introduced to the rest of the group.

It was revealed Dwight has been on the hunt for his wife Sherry ever since leaving The Walking Dead world.

He became free to search for her after he was banished by Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), but could he join him in Fear the Walking Dead?

It would bring more conflict for Dwight and could ultimately lead to his downfall.

However, Dwight star Austin teased he would want Daryl to cross over and join him.

Appearing in a group interview with Build Series, he was asked who he would want to cross over and he replied: “Maybe Daryl. It would fun and mix it up a little bit.”

He also laughed at the suggestion of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) after the pair had clashed repeatedly on The Walking Dead.

Daryl’s inclusion in the Fear world would certainly cause huge conflict between the pair given that Daryl has not been able to come to terms with Dwight killing Denise Cloyd (Merritt Wever).

Dwight has already come across friction as he was reunited with Morgan in the last episode.

Morgan is currently not willing to hear Dwight’s apologies about his behaviour with Negan in The Walking Dead.

However showrunner Andrew Chambliss has suggested their meeting might have a hidden significance.

“They were in some of the bigger group scenes [in The Walking Dead], but Morgan and Dwight hadn’t actually had a lot of personal one-to-one interaction.

“They obviously both kind of know each other as characters and their history. So I think when they find each other, it was really the surprise that these two people ended up in the same place.

“And we give some hints that there are some reasons that they both ended up in the same area in Texas. And there’s a little bit of back and forth where they’re talking about what roads they took.

“I think we’ll learn a little more about what forces drove them to this area.”

Meanwhile, Austin has revealed why he laughed when the suggestion he might crossover into Fear the Walking Dead was first made.

He also revealed what Dwight has been doing: “Effectively searching for his wife, like a drug addict trying to get his next fix.”

About what to expect from Dwight, he added: “He’s in a much darker spot, I think.”

Fear the Walking Dead continues Monday on AMC UK, while The Walking Dead is expected to return later this year.

The Walking Dead Recap: The 'X' Files — How Michonne and Daryl Got Those Matching Scars Revealed at Last https://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-recap-the-x-files-how-michonne-and-daryl-got-those-matching-scars-revealed-at-last/ https://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-recap-the-x-files-how-michonne-and-daryl-got-those-matching-scars-revealed-at-last/#respond Mon, 18 Mar 2019 07:56:02 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-recap-the-x-files-how-michonne-and-daryl-got-those-matching-scars-revealed-at-last/ Toggling back and forth between the present and past, Sunday’s The Walking Dead at last revealed what transpired during the time jump that prompted Michonne to roll up Alexandria’s welcome mat — and left her and Daryl with the “Scars” that gave the episode its title. It also ushered into the fray, however briefly, a guest star who’s had more experience with vampires than zombies. Who was it? Read on…

the walking dead season 9 episode 14 recap daryl michonne scars‘THIS ONE’S BEEN KICKING THE S— OUT OF ME EVERY MORNING’ | The hour began back when Michonne was pregnant with R.J. but still scouring the area for any sign of Rick. On one occasion, she found his gun. On another, she found Daryl and learned that he’d followed the river all the way to the ocean and back — nada. Still, “I ain’t gonna stop looking,” he insisted. “Not ever.” In the present, Michonne had no sooner put back Rick’s — now Judith’s — gun in its box when Aaron announced that Daryl was at the gate — and he wasn’t alone; he was, of course, with Henry, Connie, Dog and Lydia. Despite Michonne’s no-admittance policy, she couldn’t turn away Daryl, so she let them all in so that Henry could get patched up. (Also, who could say no to Dog?) Back in the past — and don’t worry, rather than give you whiplash with this then-and-now business, from here on, I’ll just tell you what happened then all the way through, then we’ll return to the present — Rosita brought some kids to Alexandria’s gate. And what are the odds? Michonne just happened to have once been besties with the group’s lone adult, a woman named Jocelyn (Queen Sugar’s Rutina Wesley, late of True Blood).

the walking dead season 9 episode 14 recap daryl michonne scarsDespite the newcomer’s injuries, she immediately wanted to go back out to save the other youngsters they’d left behind. Rather than let her do so in her condition, Michonne had an older boy from the group lead her, Aaron, Eugene, Rosita and Gabriel to a place where Jocelyn had once hidden her troupe. And lo and behold, that was where the angel-faced moppets were. That night, after Michonne marveled at what excellent hunters the kids were — they’d killed enough game to open their own barbecue joint — Jocelyn shared that the adults that had been with them “just… broke. The children… they grow, they learn, they’re capable of anything.” Jocelyn also revealed that she could still read her old college classmate like a book: For instance, she knew that Michonne’s expression meant that she had to keep searching for her missing man. In the morning — I’m not 100 percent clear on whether this was the following morning or some time later — Michonne and some other parents went to pick up their offspring from a sleepover with Jocelyn’s kids. Only neither were Jocelyn or the kids at the house in which they’d been put up. Ruh-roh.

the walking dead season 9 episode 14 recap daryl michonne scars‘I TOLD YOU KIDS ARE CAPABLE OF ANYTHING’ | Upon finding a dead Alexandrian as well as the pantry and infirmary raided, Michonne and her fellow parents realized that Jocelyn had spirited away the kids — all of ’em! Teamed up with Daryl in search of the youngsters, Michonne blamed herself for letting her guard down with her old friend. It wasn’t her fault, though, Daryl said. “Some people just got so much evil in their hearts, they hide it like they’re wearing a mask or something. This is on her.” After the two of them tracked the whippersnappers to a school, those angel faces suddenly looked decidedly devilish. One shot Daryl with an arrow, and another knocked out Michonne. Then, with Jocelyn observing, the kids coldly prepared to brand their prisoners. “The strong survive,” said little Linus as he burned an X into Daryl’s back. “And thrive,” added his twisted teacher, bragging to Michonne that she’d taught them to be merciless. After all, “they can’t be soft, not now.” With that, young Winnie singed Michonne’s flesh. Later, as you’d expect, Michonne and Daryl got free.

the walking dead season 9 episode 14 recap daryl michonne scarsAfter our heroes split up to search for Judith and the Alexandrians, Michonne first was slashed in her pregnant belly by a kid, then nearly bludgeoned to death (or at least unconsciousness) by Jocelyn. In the end, Michonne was forced to kill not only her old friend but… aw, man. Poor Michonne. She invited Jocelyn’s gang to come back and live in Alexandria, but their teacher had warped their minds so badly that they preferred instead to attack Michonne. The older boy even ordered Winnie to slaughter the Alexandrians! In the end, Michonne wound up having to kill all but one of Jocelyn’s JV murder club. (Winnie chickened out and ran. And while we’re on the subject of Winnie, how slowly did she move when given the order to kill? She hadn’t even made it into the camper in which the Alexandrians were huddled when Michonne was done dispatching her fellow brats.) At least Judith and the Alexandrians were OK. For a second, Michonne feared that Jocelyn had warped her brain, too. But then Lil’ Ass-Kicker cried “Mommy” and ran to her.

the walking dead season 9 episode 14 recap daryl michonne scars‘YOU HAVEN’T HEARD ALL THE STORIES’ | In present-day, Daryl told Michonne that, after Henry was stitched up, they’d head to the Kingdom. “This wasn’t the plan,” Connie wrote to Michonne, “but I’d do it again. With different shoes.” (And it has gotten pretty hard not to like Connie, no?) When Henry noted that he’d have a scar forevermore, Lydia said that she liked it. “You’ll never forget what you did. Neither will I.” Upon getting the (former?) Whisperer alone, Michonne attempted to put an idea in her head. “To save my people, I’ve had to risk others,” she said. “I’ve made my peace with that. Might be easier if the only life I had to risk was my own, if I could just walk away and… make everyone else safe. Now that wouldn’t be so hard. Think about that.” Nearby, Judith cross-examined Daryl like a top attorney, getting him to admit that he’d helped Lydia even though it might have put Hilltop in danger, then busting him when he said Michonne was right, keeping her and Judith safe is what’s important. “No, it isn’t,” she argued. “I mean, not just us.” (Somewhere, Carl had to have been smiling… )

When Daryl set off that night with Connie, Dog, Henry and Lydia, he suggested that Michonne tell a disgruntled Judith the truth. “She’s not ready,” she replied. “Neither am I.” What’s more, “she gets to keep being a kid as long as I can help it.” Getting in the last word, Daryl made it count. “That’s not just a little kid ya got there,” he said. Later, when Michonne went to Judith’s room to take Daryl’s advice, she found her daughter missing. Immediately, she headed for Negan’s cell and demanded that he tell her what the two of them talked about. In addition to stories about the Saviors war and how much like Carl Judith is, Negan discussed with the little girl her dim view of her mom’s no-newbies policy. Off the prisoner’s remark that Judith might be doing what Michonne would — “not taking s— lying down” — Michonne ran home and found a letter in Judith’s gun box. “I’m sorry, but I need to go,” it read. “Our friends need help.” The following morning, Michonne at last tracked down her daughter, just in time to save her from a bunch of walkers (many of whom the kid had handled fine, it should be noted). “We need to talk,” Michonne told her.

‘I THOUGHT I WAS TOO LATE’ | Back in Alexandria, Michonne went through the whole Jocelyn story, right down to the moment when she’d been afraid that the madwoman had warped Judith’s brain. “You didn’t look like you because of the blood; that’s all it was,” Judith said. Turned out, she remembered everything! Why hadn’t she spoken about it in so many years? “Because it made you sad,” Judith explained. All this time, Michonne marveled, “I thought you didn’t understand [why Alexandria had been shut off] because you didn’t know, but you did.” How on earth did they get to this place? “Our friends need our help,” Judith said matter-of-factly. And then she spelled things out as simply as beautifully. “You’re my mom,” she told Michonne. “You chose to be because you love me and I love you, and loving someone means doing whatever it takes to keep them safe, right? But when did we stop loving Daryl… Aunt Maggie… Carol… the King?” They hadn’t, Michonne insisted. “Then why,” Judith asked, “does it feel that way?” (Game, set, match.)

As the episode drew to a close, Michonne took Judith to the grave that she and Rick had dug for Carl. That day, “I made a promise to never bury another child again,” she said. But after losing Rick and almost losing Judith, “I was scared.” And since she wasn’t the only one left fearful in the wake of the Jocelyn incident, the decision was made to make Alexandria only about the people who lived there. But, she now thought, “we have to protect the people we love — all the people we love. And we will.” With that, the two of them set off in a horse-drawn convertible to give Daryl & Co. a lift to the Kingdom. Of course, since no good goes unpunished, the group was spotted reaching their destination by Whisperers who were only too eager to report back to Alpha. So, what did you think of the episode? Rutina Wesley’s guest turn? The explanation of Michonne and Daryl’s scars? Hit the comments.

The Walking Dead Recap: Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Daryl https://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-recap-dont-tell-mom-the-babysitters-daryl/ https://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-recap-dont-tell-mom-the-babysitters-daryl/#respond Mon, 19 Nov 2018 04:51:46 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-recap-dont-tell-mom-the-babysitters-daryl/ After “Who Are You Now?” gave us our first teensy taste of the Whisperers, Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead — the last one before the midseason finale — dished out… Drat. Only another minuscule morsel. After the opening showed us Rosita running from what she thought were walkers speaking in hushed tones, that was about it for the show’s new Big Bads. So how was the rest of the hour filled, then? By catching us up with B players like Jesus, Tara and Aaron, feeding us backstory on the newbies and their ill-fated friend Bernie, and revealing how, ahem, doggedly Carol was willing to pursue Daryl to be Henry’s Hilltop babysitter.

the-walking-dead-season-9-episode-7-recap‘YOU’VE BEEN OUT HERE LONGER THAN I THOUGHT YOU’D BE’ | Early on in “Stradivarius,” Carol and Henry arrived at Daryl’s very open-air camp and met his dog, whose name was apparently Dog. (Right on cue, I — and I suspect all the animal lovers in the audience — had a traumatic flashback to Shiva’s unhappy ending.) Carol wasted little time revealing to her BFF the reason for the drop-in: Henry was going to learn smithing at the Hilltop, and since she had to return to the Kingdom, she wanted Daryl to play Supernanny to the idealistic kid. How about it? “Nah,” grunted Daryl, “he’s gonna have to learn, just like you and I did.” Henry, for one, was all for that idea. He couldn’t believe that his mom thought he needed a chaperone. And even if he did, “this guy?”

Meanwhile, as Michonne, Siddiq and D.J. traveled with Magna, Yumiko, Kelly, Connie and Luke toward the Hilltop, Miko apologized to Alexandria’s security chief for Magna’s ‘tude. She’d been hard hit by the death of Bernie, whose awful paisley shirt she’d come to like as much as she had him. When the group arrived at what used to be the site of the newcomers’ camp and now looked like the aftermath of a rummage sale-turned-rave, Michonne revealed that she’d only tagged along to see if their story had checked out. Now, she’d head home, and if the newbs wanted Siddiq and D.J. to usher them the rest of the way to the Hilltop, they’d stop going on and on about how they wanted their weapons back. Ultimately, Magna was voted down: For a chance at a safe-ish place to live, the group could play by Michonne’s rules for a few hours more.

the walking dead season 9 episode 7 recap‘YOU FIND A KAZOO, YOU GIVE IT TO A KID’ | When we cut to the Hilltop, it actually looked beyond safe-ish — it was thriving. In fact, its biggest issue seemed to be that, since Maggie had taken off with Hershel to work on a new community with Georgie, her replacement as leader — Jesus — had demonstrated a real aversion to leading. (We all know the type — loves to have opinions, hates to make decisions.) He even snuck away as often as possible to continue teaching martial arts to Aaron, now sporting a prosthetic arm. Wait, all these years later, and Aaron still wasn’t a ninja?!? And all these years later — even in the wake of “What Comes After” — Maggie and Michonne were still so at odds that, according to Aaron, the latter didn’t know that the former had skedaddled? While question after question occurred to me — did these two never start dating? Was this a date? — they spotted a flair fired by Rosita, learned that she’d stashed Eugene in a barn, and rushed her back to the Hilltop before nightfall.

Back at Chez Daryl, he cooked his signature dish (snake soup) for Carol and Henry, got a new haircut from his pal (that looked exactly like his old one) and explained why he couldn’t quit searching for Rick. “We never found a body — ever,” he noted. “After a while, it just got easier to stay out here.” Later, Daryl went in search of Dog, who worrisomely missed dinner, and Henry followed. Turned out, Dog had gotten stuck in one of Daryl’s traps and was at risk of becoming Walker Chow. By the hardest, Daryl saved his four-legged friend, Henry saved Daryl, Daryl saved Henry… and, in the end, we saw Carol, bow and arrow at the ready, watching from nearby — she’d clearly arranged this whole scenario to facilitate some babe/babysitter bonding. Before we move on, a little side note for Carol: You can burn up all the Saviors you like, but leave Dog alone, ya hear me? Thanks.

the walking dead season 9 episode 7 recap‘THIS IS THE ONE THING THAT SEPARATES US FROM THE ANIMALS’ | Camped out overnight with Siddiq, D.J. and the newbies, Michonne heard a noise and, before Luke could reveal what he’d taken hold of, Ginsu’d the Stradivarius that gave the episode its title. Apparently, he’d always traveled with a collection of instruments — even super-fancy ones — because he believed that art was what had helped ancient man defeat the Neanderthals. He even came thisclose to quoting Madonna by saying, “Music makes the people come together.” Even after everything, Michonne asked, did he still think that was going to be all it took? Yes, he insisted. Ha — and Carol thinks Henry’s an idealist!

At the Hilltop, Jesus explained to Tara that he’d been with Aaron when they found Rosita because he’d been keeping the lines of communication with Alexandria open and hoping against hope that he could get them on board for the upcoming fair. Uh-huh, well, Hilltoppers have noticed his constant absences, she said. Uh-huh, well, maybe they shouldn’t have made him leader, he shot back. Agreed! Nonetheless, “your people are counting on you. Maggie is counting on you,” Tara argued. “I’m counting on you.” So when she set off to help search for Eugene in the morning, he’d have to stay behind and do his damn job for once. Meanwhile, at Daryl’s, Henry suggested to his host that Carol shouldn’t have to come looking for her buddy. So what, Daryl asked, did Henry really want him looking over his shoulder at the Hilltop? Carol’s request of Daryl, the kid intuited, “isn’t just about me.”

the walking dead season 9 episode 7 recap‘IT’S NOT THAT SIMPLE’ | In the morning, Siddiq encouraged Michonne to come along the rest of the way to the Hilltop — especially after she murdered Luke’s violin. She needn’t worry about Maggie, he added. She was gone, and Jesus was in charge. Before Michonne could find out how he knew something like that, walkers approached, and at last, Yumiko, Magna & Co. were given back their weapons. And, with the exception of Luke, they turned out to be badass fighters. Particularly impressive were Kelly and Connie, who went all Bart Simpson on the zombies with their slingshots. But this was no mere battle scene. No sooner had Michonne deduced that this was the same herd that had trashed the site than we — and, more to the point, Magna — saw how she’d deduced it: There was a walkerfied Bernie, his innards spilling out all over his loud-as-hell shirt. As Magna’s heart broke anew, Michonne put Bernie down. Not a bad death, as far as deaths of characters we never met go.

Once the gang was back on the road, Siddiq told Michonne he’d have filled her in about Maggie sooner, but he’d promised someone he wouldn’t. At least now she could for sure come to the Hilltop, right? Pass, she said. “I kept my promise to Judith.” Siddiq had just begun protesting, asking what about her promise to Carl, when up rode… wait a minute, is that C. Thomas Howell?!? It was! Two rando Hilltoppers — one of whom was, I couldn’t make this up, C. Thomas Howell — rode up with a message: They had an injured Rosita. OK, said Michonne. Go deliver that message to Alexandria and let her people know they were on their way to the Hilltop. Before they set off again, Connie saw in the woods… nothing, she decided. Although the camera’s POV shot suggested that they were being observed, maybe by a Whisperer? A C. Thomas Howell fan? Who could say?

‘YOU’RE ADORABLE’ | As the episode drew to a close, Daryl — now fully committed to chaperoning Henry’s life — arrived with Dog, Carol and her son at the Hilltop. As if it wasn’t already obvious that Henry was supposed to be the new Carl, he wondered hopefully whether Carl’s old girlfriend Enid would recognize him now that he was older and bigger. And he didn’t want to hear from his mom that he was adorable. “No, I’m not,” he insisted. “Unless Enid likes adorable.” No sooner were Daryl and Aaron reunited than the latter revealed that a group was going out in search of Eugene — and could use a good tracker. “Of course,” said Daryl. He and Dog were ready to roll. Finally, Tara didn’t make Jesus plead his case for why he should accompany the search party instead of her. She just let him go and said she’d stay behind and keep the Hilltop going. Somebody had to!

So, what did you think of “Stradivarius”? Are the newcomers growing on you? Were you irritated that we didn’t get more of the Whisperers? Would no one have informed Michonne that Maggie had taken off? Hit the comments.

The Walking Dead season 8 news: Carol and Daryl love CONFIRMED? Lennie James drops hint https://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-season-8-news-carol-and-daryl-love-confirmed-lennie-james-drops-hint/ https://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-season-8-news-carol-and-daryl-love-confirmed-lennie-james-drops-hint/#respond Sun, 11 Mar 2018 04:52:17 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-season-8-news-carol-and-daryl-love-confirmed-lennie-james-drops-hint/

Although they haven’t featured together as much this season, Carol (Melissa McBride) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) fans always thought they would make a cute couple on .

Express.co.uk caught up with Lennie recently and it seemed the Morgan star has fuelled the theory along.

When asked if he reads fan theories, the 52-year-old who will soon be making the crossover to Fear The Walking Dead confessed he doesn’t, but keeps up to date with them when he meets fans.

Lennie laughed: “I don’t read into it at all but I meet [the fans] and people come up and give you their theories.

“They ask: ‘When are you and Carol going to get it together?’ and I’m like, ‘I don’t know!’

“I don’t think it’s ever going to happen and I think Daryl would have something to say about it,” he teased.

If even the cast members are aware of the building romance between Carol and Daryl, could it be a sign the highly-anticipated relationship is coming?

Last year, Norman himself confessed “there’s definitely a spark of a relationship there”.

He previously told Express.co.uk: “I can’t tell you other stuff or if it’s going to happen or if it has already happened though.

“I definitely like doing scenes with her and there’s a lot of Melissa in those scenes and there’s a lot of Norman in those scenes.”

Lennie also spilled on what is to come from his departure from The Walking Dead, teasing no one has guessed how he will pop up in the crossover.

He teased: “The way that… I can’t give too much away. But where they take Morgan to before he exits is a great place and it’s like what they do in episode nine with Carl [Grimes, Chandler Riggs] and it’s a testimony to who he is as a character in the world.

“As they take him from one so to another – I think it’s brilliant storytelling. It’s really simple but no one has guessed it before.”

Lennie continued to explain he was thrilled to be offered a role in Fear the Walking Dead, admitting he is in love with Morgan’s character.

But will the beloved stalwart die as he leaves one show for another? Or will the AMC show’s bosses find a way to keep him alive?

The Walking Dead continues Sunday on AMC and will air the following day on FOX UK at 9pm.

The Walking Dead season 8: Did Norman Reedus just reveal Daryl Dixon’s fate? Be prepared https://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-season-8-did-norman-reedus-just-reveal-daryl-dixons-fate-be-prepared/ https://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-season-8-did-norman-reedus-just-reveal-daryl-dixons-fate-be-prepared/#respond Sat, 13 Jan 2018 20:03:21 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/the-walking-dead-season-8-did-norman-reedus-just-reveal-daryl-dixons-fate-be-prepared/

The teen was bitten in the mid-season finale last year with fans devastated by the news that he will not survive.

But what about Carl’s (played by Chandler Riggs) friends?

As the Alexandrians continue their war against Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and the Saviours, should viewers be prepared for more fan-favourites to be killed off?

One character in particular who looks likely to be sticking around for much longer is Daryl Dixon.

Norman Reedus, who stars as the hero, dropped a major hint that his character could last until the show comes to and end.

“I could play Daryl Dixon forever,” he commented, suggesting he has no plans to quit anytime soon.

It comes after AMC boss Charlie Collier noted that the show won’t last forever and they talk about how it will come to a close “all the time”.

“We talk about it all the times,” he said at the CES 2018 Variety’s Entertainment Summit.

“How do you make sure it goes as long as it can while still being a responsible business?

“We talk about whenever it ends, that it’s Smithsonian-worthy… This is a fun ride for everyone involved.”

It comes after.

The teen can be seen lying on a stretcher, with the show’s head of social media, Johnny O’Dell, revealing: “All we can say is when he DOES die the show will not brush over it. Prepare for the worst.

“We can’t divulge exactly how Rick grieves, but we can confirm Carl’s death impacts him more than any death since Lori.”

“Unfortunately for Rick, Carl’s death comes at a horrible time,” he continued.

“He’s in the middle of a war, his home was just destroyed, and Negan and The Saviors have a chokehold on his allied communities.”

will return to AMC on February 25 and will air on FOX UK the following day.
