Special guest Vladimir Putin arrived at the Austrian foreign minister’s wedding with a beautiful bouquet of flowers for the bride. Karin Kneissl is tying the knot with multi-millionaire entrepreneur Wolfgang Meilinger.
The Russian leader didn’t arrive empty-handed. Not only did he give the bride a beautiful bouquet of yellow and white flowers, he also brought along the Kuban Cossack Choir to entertain the newlyweds and the guests. Putin also had a dance with the bride.
Putin was invited to attend the wedding en route to his upcoming visit to Germany. The ceremony is taking place at a vineyard in the village of Gamlitz, in Austria’s Styria region.
The bride and groom chose traditional attire for their special day. Kneissl donned a white dirndl, a traditional Alpine dress, while Meilinger was dressed in a green vest and black trousers.
The VIP guest list also includes Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, Vice Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache, and Transport and Technology Minister Norbert Hofer.

The first Saturday Night Live of 2018 featured Golden Globe winner Sam Rockwell making his hosting debut. Considering how disappointing the Christmas episode with Kevin Hart ended up being towards the end of 2017, the pressure was on for the writers and cast of the late night sketch series to come back with a vengeance.
Thankfully, the Sam Rockwell hosted Saturday Night Live was an absolute delight, even if it came with a handful of missteps throughout the night, including one hilarious f-bomb that made it onto live television. So without further ado, let’s run through the best and worst sketches of the night.
Science Show – Not only were Cecily Strong and Mikey Day perfect as a pair of nervous, clueless kids on a PBS science TV show geared towards children, but Sam Rockwell as the increasingly annoyed adult host made it even better. Also, this might be the best way for an f-bomb to slip through onto live television. It was so natural that it sounded like it was improvised, and that made it infinitely funnier.
My Drunk Boyfriend – Kyle Mooney’s face was made to look so perfectly artificial that it’s almost creepy. Simultaneously drunk and expressionless, just the visual of the My Drunk Boyfriend doll is worth a laugh, but all of the physical comedy that comes into play is executed as perfectly as the drunken soundbites.
Chantix Commercial – I love the increased desperation of the character Cecily Strong plays in this commercial. Whenever SNL does a commercial like this where the subjects are aware of the fact that they’re in the commercial and interact with its creators, it’s usually a winner. The attempts of this failed actress to show off her acting skills and the complete disinterest from the Chantix narrator combine to form a fantastic commercial parody.
ATM – While it’s not quite clear what’s at the core of this sketch as far as social commentary is concerned, what I love about this sketch are the endless twists that continue to change our perspective. Rarely does an SNL sketch end so succinctly and successfully, but the ending of this sketch adds one final twist to drive the whole sketch home.

The former X Factor winner said it made her see the soap star in a totally different way.
Describing the dance as “out of this world” she told the actress: “I saw you in such a different light.“It was so fierce, so powerful, and I remember standing there watching and going: ‘Oh my god, Gemma you are insane’.
“Each finalist in the dancing competition has named their favourite routine of the series.
Atkinson chose a paso doble by Burke as her favourite dance of the series, saying: “I thought it was amazing. And because it was so early on in the competition, the nerves would have been even higher.
“And I thought the choreography was great too and I thought you nailed it.“
Joe McFadden chose Debbie McGee’s Frankenstein-themed charleston as the performance he enjoyed the most.
He said: “She had the little black bob on, it was iconic, it was amazing.
“That was my favourite dance.“
McGee picked McFadden’s own charleston in which he and professional partner Katya Jones dressed up as toy soldiers.
She said: “It was just so different and really good fun and the choreography was sensational as always from Katya.
“It just had everything it was so entertaining. I would have given it a 10, definitely.“
The Strictly Come Dancing final is on BBC One on Saturday at 6.30pm.
The seven couples will perform twice and the leaderboard could be turned on its head with the extra points up for grabs.
They will each perform their own routine before they return to the floor to dance a Paso Doble at the same time in the Pasodoblathon.
Bookmakers have installed former X Factor winner Alexandra Burke, 29, as the 9/4 favourite overtaking Debbie McGee, 59, at 3/1 after she survived the dreaded dance-off last week.
The widow of magician Paul Daniels was plunged into her first winner-saves-all performance during a dramatic climax to the visit to Blackpool, beating paralympian Jonnie Peacock.
A show insider said: “Who can dance the best Paso Doble and give themselves the chance to win extra points? It could improve their chances of getting through to the quarter-finals.”
The betting then has Gemma Atkinson at 7/2, Joe McFadden at 5/1, Davood Ghadami at 13/2, Mollie King at 25/1 and Susan Calman a rank outsider at 50/1.
Susan is also the 4/5 odds-on favourite to be voted off.
Jessica Bridge, of Ladbrokes, said: “The competition’s hotting up and it’s wide open as far as punters are concerned.
“Alexandra heads into this weekend as the favourite, but if Debbie redeems herself and Gemma tops the leaderboard again, it’s all to play for.”
She added: “Unfortunately for Susan it looks like viewers will have the last laugh this weekend and she’ll be sent home.”
Meanwhile, Debbie has ridiculed rumours of a romance with dance partner Giovanni Pernice, 27.
At 30 years her junior, “it’s absolutely great people think he fancies me!
“People see us dancing these sexy routines and assume something must be going on. The truth is we really like each other, but it isn’t a love affair.”
The 59-year-old has achieved the highest score from the judges two consecutive weeks but could she make it a hat-trick on Saturday?
She will be dancing the Tango to I Gotta Feeling by The Black Eyed Peas with partner Giovanni Pernice, however the dance has been responsible for the most exits ever in the BBC series.
According to research from bookmakers Betway, 13 per cent of celebrities have swiftly vacated the dance floor after performing a Tango.
Debbie won rave reviews from the judging panel thanks to her Charleston with head honcho Shirley Ballas even bestowing her “queen of Latin” crown on her.
Meanwhile, fellow frontrunner Alexandra Burke and partner Gorka Marquez will be doing a Cha Cha to I Got The Music In Me by Marcia Hines.
Emmerdale actress Gemma Atkinson and Aljaž Škorjanec will show off their Salsa skills to Sun Comes Up by Rudimental ft. James Arthur.
There will be a Foxtrot from The Saturdays singer Mollie King and AJ Pritchard, who’ll be shaking their stuff to Call Me Irresponsible by Connie Francis.
This Morning host Ruth Langsford and Anton Du Beke will dance the Paso Doble to The Shady Dame From Seville by Julie Andrews.
Keeping things uptempo will be comedian Susan Calman and Kevin Clifton, who’ll be doing a Jive to The Ole House by Shakin’ Stevens.
Strictly Come Dancing frontrunner Aston Merrygold and Janette Manrara will be slowing things down this week when they perform the Viennese Waltz to Who’s Loving You by The Jackson 5.
EastEnders actor Davood Ghadami and Nadiya Bychkova will dance the American Smooth to This Will Be (An Everlasting Love) by Natalie Cole.
Expect a fun Charleston from Joe McFadden and Katya Jones, when they perform their routine to Alexander’s Ragtime Band by Ella Fitzgerald.
Finally Jonnie Peacock and Oti Mabuse will take to the dance floor with their Salsa to Turn Me On by Kevin Lyttle.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on BBC One on Saturday at 6.50pm.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on BBC One on Saturday at 6.50pm.
Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman host the fourth live show of Strictly Come Dancing 2017 tonight from 6.45pm.
As ever, judges Shirley Ballas, Brunio Toniolo, Darcey Bussell and Craig Revel Horwood will be on hand to judge the celebrities and their professional partners.
Public voting will open at the end of the show, before the lowest-scoring couples dance-off in Sunday’s results show at 7.15pm on Sunday.
This weekend’s musical guest is jazz singer Gregory Porter.
Debbie McGee and Giovanni Pernice will do the Cha Cha Cha to The Shoop Shoop Song (It’s In His Kiss) by Cher.
The magician’s assistant and her partner will be sure to avoid any illegal moves after they were penalised last week for breaking the 10 second rule.
Aston Merrygold and Janette Manrara will Quickstep to Mr Blue Sky by ELO – but will they come top of the leaderboard for the second week running?
Alexandra Burke and Gorka Marquez are Jiving to Tina Turner’s Proud Mary, and will be hoping to beat the impressive 33 they scored last week.
Brian Conley and Amy Dowden will do the Paso Doble – the same dance that got Reverend Richard Coles booted last week – to I Believe In A Thing Called Love by The Darkness.
Ruth Langsford and Anton Du Beke willTango to Allegretti by Bond. The This Morning presenter scored the second-lowest last week but escaped the dance-off, will she prove as lucky this week?
Charlotte Hawkins and Brendan Cole will Jive to Marry You by Bruno Mars, and have promised to “pull it out of the bag” this week after a series of middling performances.
Simon Rimmer and Karen Clifton will do the Samba to Copacabana by Barry Manilow. The pair saw off Rev Richard Coles in last week’s dance-off, so have everything to prove tonight.
Gemma Atkinson and Aljaž Škorjanec will dance the Paso Doble to Viva La Vida by Coldplay. The soapstar and her partner earned their best score so far last week, and will be hoping to do even better tonight.
Joe McFadden and Katya Jones will do the Cha Cha Cha to You Keep Me Hangin’ On by Human Nature. Last week, the pair came in third place on the leaderboard with a surprisingly great Viennese Waltz.
Mollie King and AJ Pritchard will Salsa to Súbeme La Radio by Enrique Iglesias. And after scoring 30 last week, it looks as though the Saturdays singer might finally be living up to her initial frontrunner status.
Jonnie Peacock and Oti Mabuse will dance the American Smooth to Cry Me A River by Michael Bublé. Last week saw the Paralympian earn his best score yet, but will this week see him rise to the top of the pack?
Davood Ghadami and Nadiya Bychkova will do the Viennese Waltz to Say You Love Me by Jessie Ware. The EastEnders actor is another contestant desperate to move from the middle of the pack, could this be his week?
Susan Calman and Kevin Clifton will Quickstep to Bring Me Sunshine by The Jive Aces, and will need to seriously impress after scoring 20, 22 and 20.
Simon Rimmer is the favourite to leave after scraping through last weekend’s dance-off.
Betfair spokeswoman Katie Baylis said: “The judges may have unanimously voted to keep Simon in over Reverand Richard in last week’s dance off, but the chef faces a big battle to stay in the competition this week and is the 11/10 favourite to be eliminated.
“Brian had his best performance of the show last week, but will need to keep improving if he’s to avoid the dreaded dance-off and he’s at 3/1 to get the boot this weekend.
“Charlotte and Ruth have both avoided the dance off so far , but have had scathing comments from the judges since day one and are at 4/1 and 9/2 respectively to leave.
“At the other end of the leader board, it’s no surprise that three celebs are getting all the backing from punters for the title with Aston the 9/4 favourite, ahead of Alexandra at 11/4 and Debbieat 9/2.”
Former X Factor winner Alexandra Burke, 29, and her partner Gorka Márquez will be waltzing to Aretha Franklin’s You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman, while This Morning favourite Ruth Langford, 57, and her partner Anton du Beke will also be taking on the waltz to Seth MacFarlane’s version of This Nearly Was Mine.
Paralympian Jonnie Peackock, 24, and Oti Mabuse will also dance the Waltz to When I Need You by Luther Vandross.
Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins, 42, and Brendan Cole will be hoping to glide effortlessly across the dance floor to Michael Bublé’s The Best is Yet To Come in an elegant Foxtrot.
They are set to have some tough Foxtrotting competition next Saturday night in the form of ex-JLS star Aston Merrygold, 29, and Janette Manrara, who will be accompanied by Dave Arch and his stunning orchestra doing a rendition of It Had To Be you by Harry Connick Jr.
Sunday Brunch chef Simon Rimmer, 54, and Karen Clifton will be bringing a little rock to the Strictly Come Dancing stage with their Paso Doble to Blur’s Song 2, while Debbie McGee, 58, and Giovanni Pernice will perform theirs to Be Italian by Fergie.
Cha Cha-ing their way into the nation’s hearts is actress Chizzy Akudolu, 43, and her professional partner Pasha Kovalev with their song choice of Boogie Fever by The Sylvers, and former Emmerdale star Gemma Atkinson, 32, and Aljaž Škorjanec to Shawn Mendes’ There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back.
EastEnders favourite Davood Ghadami, 35, will also take on the Cha Cha with Strictly newcomer Nadiya Bychkova when they take to the tiles to the soundtrack of Dedication To My Ex by Lloyd featuring Andre 3000, while Reverend Richard Coles, 55, and Dianne Buswell have chosen to Cha Cha to There Must Be An Angel (Playing With My Heart) by Eurythmics.
Meanwhile, Mollie King, 35, and AJ Prithcard will hope to jive their way to the top of the leader board to Little Richard’s Good Golly Miss Molly, while Joe McFadden, 41, and Katya Jones have chosen Michael Jackson’s Rockin’ Robin for their lively performance of the tricky dance.
Susan Calman, 42, will be struggling to cope with the notorious spins of the Viennese Waltz as she and Kevin Clifton whirl about the dance floor to Mad About The Boy by Dinah Washington.
The first Tango of the series will be tackled by entertainer Brian Conley, 56, and Amy Dowden to the song Temptation by Heaven 17.
Strictly Come Dancing returns Saturday September 23 on BBC One.
Over the course of two hours, we finally learned who each All-Star decided to bring to the performance shows — and the resulting duos set a very high bar in their first live outing.
Below, let’s recap Monday’s routines, in the order each finalist was revealed:
* Fik-Shun Stegall and… Dassy Lee! (Hip-Hop) — The light, fizzy tone and synchronized robotics in this routine reminded me quite a bit of Fik-Shun’s “I Can Make Ya” piece with Kida last season — and that’s a great thing. But Dassy and Fik-Shun fell just a hair out of sync throughout the performance, particularly during the chair sequence, and I had expected more start-to-finish precision from the duo. Having said that, they seem to genuinely enjoy working with one another, and Fik-Shun already proved with last year’s kid-centric season that he’s capable of great mentorship.
* Allison Holker and… Logan Hernandez! (Contemporary) — With Allison sidelined for a recent shoulder injury, Logan was paired up with previous Dance contestant Audrey Case, but the shake-up didn’t seem to rattle him much. Instead, Logan brought a wonderful fearlessness to the routine, proving himself a sturdy partner for Audrey (and, hopefully, Allison). I do wish that Logan’s passion had worked its way up to his face; as strong and dynamic as his movements were, his expression for most of the number was strangely blank. But Logan still showcased an adaptability that could take him far in the competition — and here’s hoping he’ll get there with his All-Star by his side in the weeks to come.
* Jenna Johnson and… Kiki Nyemchek! (Cha-Cha) — It took me a few seconds to move past my disappointment that Jenna didn’t pick Kevin “Konkrete” Davis Jr., even though bringing him to the Top 10 would have put a huge choreographing hurdle in her way every week. Kiki, a ballroom pro, was of course the natural choice for Jenna, and he was every bit as solid and crisp a partner as she needed for this quick cha-cha. My fingers are crossed that Kiki will show a bit more vulnerability moving forward, which is something he didn’t quite showcase at The Academy — but on a nerve-wracking evening of live performances, Kiki was a self-assured and reliable dancer throughout.
* Cyrus Spencer and… Kaylee Millis! (Contemporary/Hip-Hop Fusion) — After revealing some chinks in her armor at The Academy, where she didn’t quite rise to the challenge of dueting with Cyrus on an animation routine, Kaylee had a lot to prove in her first live performance — and it makes me so sad that she didn’t exactly meet expectations. Some of the blame falls on the costuming for Monday’s performance; as strong and emotionally engaged as Kaylee’s movements were, that off-the-shoulder gown didn’t do her any favors, and she couldn’t afford to look uncomfortable on such an important night. But when all was said and done, it was Kaylee and Cyrus’ periodically awkward movements, and their somewhat forced emotional connection, that left more to be desired.
* Gaby Diaz and… Lex Ishimoto! (Tap) — Here’s a mantra I’ll need to repeat time and again during Season 14: Lex is not a tap dancer. Lex is not a tap dancer. Lex is not a tap dancer. It would be easy to come down on Lex for the less impressive moments in his routine with Gaby, when he was a half-step behind his partner and struggled to remain effortlessly graceful during certain combinations. But given that Lex’s specialty is contemporary fusion, his proficiency in tap — especially in a routine that would even have challenged a tapping pro — is majorly commendable.
* Comfort Fedoke and… Mark Villaver! (Hip-Hop) — Comfort was hardly given any screen time at The Academy, so she and Mark could easily fly under voters’ radar this season. But in their two minutes on stage Monday night, the pair forged an easy, joyous chemistry, and Mark punctuated every movement with effortless swagger — so much so, in fact, that his and Comfort’s routine seemed more like an improvised duet on a nightclub dance floor than a rigidly choreographed piece. We’ve already seen — in his audition, for starters — that Mark can hit the quiet, intimate moments of a performance, and it was a delight to see that he’s just as comfortable with loose, fun steps.
* Marko Germar and… Koine Iwasaki! (Contemporary) — Stacey Tookey + two beautiful dancers + really, really good lighting + a flower crown = a home run for So You Think You Can Dance — with a caveat or two. Frankly, I didn’t think Marko and Koine’s performance was quite worthy of a standing ovation; despite their gorgeous lines and steady partner work, the dancers lacked that deep, raw, captivating emotional connection that transcends all the pretty lifts. The dancing itself was beautiful to watch, but I didn’t sense that Marko or Koine really understood what was at stake for their respective characters.
* Paul Kamiryan and… Sydney Tormey! (Ballroom) — As a longtime Dancing With the Stars fan (and recapper), I was thrilled to see Val Chmerkovskiy join the SYTYCD fold as a choreographer, and his Latin ballroom routine allowed Sydney to officially arrive, after weeks of flying under the radar. But Paul and Sydney were unfortunately sandwiched between two lovely contemporary performances — and although they turned in a wholly solid routine in their own right, I’m not sure it was memorable enough to ensure they’ll stay in the competition much longer.
* Robert Roldan and… Taylor Sieve! (Contemporary) — The opening tumble that Taylor took, from atop Robert’s shoulders to the floor. Her slow, controlled descent from a handstand back into an upright position. That bird’s-eye view of Robert spinning Lorde Taylor as smoothly as if they were ice skaters. Every second of this Travis Wall creation forced Robert and Taylor to do insanely challenging partner work — and not only did they master the steps, but they brought an emotional gravitas to each step that made the piece feel like so much more than cool gymnastics. I’m not a fan of how SYTYCD has, at times, turned into The Robert Roldan Show, but he and Taylor were simply in another league on Monday night, making them more than deserving of the praise that followed their number.
* Jasmine Harper and… Robert Green! (Hip-Hop) — Much like Comfort, Jasmine and her Academy teammates were barely seen during the last few Dance episodes, which made it harder to appreciate her episode-ending duet with Robert on Monday. Still, Jasmine and her partner were given an unenviable task — follow Robert and Taylor’s contemporary! — and rose to the challenge with a fun, fast and just-silly-enough performance that ended the evening on a high note. (Seriously, though, SYTYCD producers: Jasmine deserved better than that edit she got at The Academy.)
OK, your turn! Which of Monday’s performances impressed you the most — or the least? Did any of your favorites fail to make the Top 10? Hit the comments!
