The Blues star was heavily linked with moves to both Barcelona and Manchester United earlier in the summer as speculation rumbled on over his relationship with the Italian.

Conte was then relieved of his duties in July and replaced with long-term Chelsea target Maurizio Sarri.

Willian now looks set to stay at Stamford Bridge beyond August, although European clubs could swoop in with a bid in the next 18 days.

However, the Brazilian seems confident he will be at the club until Sarri says otherwise.

“I’m here,” he told reporters.

“I’m here because I want to play for Chelsea.

“I will only leave if Chelsea want me to go.”

Asked if he would still be a Chelsea player if Conte was still in charge, Willian responded: “No chance. No chance. No.”

Willian made headlines with a controversial Instagram post after Chelsea won the FA Cup final in May.

The 29-year-old posted a photo of the entire Blues squad posing with the trophy but covered Conte with three trophy emojis.

Speaking about the incident recently, Willian attempted to pass the blame on to his daughter.

“My daughter was playing with my cell phone and she ended up putting those emojis over Conte,” he said

“After the final I got a plane right after the game to come to Brazil.

“When I got here, early in the morning, I was posting some pictures of the champions and, well, I was a bit too tired and ended up posting them like that.”

Conte fell out with a host of Chelsea stars during his controversial two-year tenure in England.

Diego Costa was forced out of the club just months after helping the west London outfit win the Premier League.

And David Luiz found himself frozen out under Conte for a large period last season.

But Willian seems to suggest life under Sarri has Chelsea players excited about the future.

“We are just in the beginning,” he said.

“We know we have to improve.

“Jorginho has played very well. He has a lot of quality and helps our play build up from the back. I think we played very well.

“Now we have to continue like that because next week, we have a great game to play against Arsenal [on Saturday] and we want to win again.”

Chelsea got their Premier League campaign off to a winning start with a 3-0 win over Huddersfield on Saturday afternoon.

The Blues welcome Arsenal to Stamford Bridge this weekend.

Conte steered Chelsea to victory in the FA Cup final today as they .

It is thought this could have been Conte’s final game with Chelsea after a fraught season on and off the pitch.

Disagreements over transfers means the campaign got off on the wrong foot and Chelsea’s title defence never materialised.

And Conte said in his post-match press conference that he remains content at Stamford Bridge.

However, the Italian also conceded his future could lie elsewhere.

“I have a contract and I’m committed for this club,” he said defiantly.

“I think from the start of this season, because don’t forget the speculation started after our first defeat against Burnley, my position was always the same: I’m committed for this club, despite a lot of speculation.

“One day I had the possibility to go to the national team, one day this team, one day another important team.

“In every press conference I always say I’m committed to this club, to respect my contract. As you know very well our job is not simple. I understand that the club can make a decision, a positive decision, a negative decision.

“I’m the first to understand. I’m the coach of a great, important club, in England and the world. It’s right that the club demands of me a lot.

“I think you have to understand if in this season we had the maximum or not. There is also this possibility with this group of players we did the maximum. I have great respect for my club.

“For sure we’ll make the best decision. I’m the first to accept every decision for the future.

“After these two seasons I will always love this colour, these fans, this club. Also if my future must be in a different way.”

The FA Cup win makes amends for last season’s defeat at Wembley when were downed by Arsenal.

It means Conte takes his Blues trophy hoard to two in two seasons.

He joined the west London club back in the summer of 2016 after an impressive stint with Italy at the European Championships.

Conte also boasts titles at Juventus and spoke about his latest triumph.

“When you are used to winning every season – don’t forget I was used to winning every season – this type of season can try to create some problems in yourself,” he said.

“When you have this type of season there are moments that you have a lot of questions for yourself.

“But I think, also in this season, in a difficult season like this, I showed I’m a serial winner. This is the truth.

“To win in this way this season give me more satisfaction than my wins in the past.”

Mourinho misery

Chelsea won the final thanks to Eden Hazard’s penalty after the Belgian was felled in the box by Phil Jones.

After the game, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho hit out at the Blues and claimed his side deserved to win.

“I think our team did a fantastic defensive job without defending. We controlled positions, transitions really well,” he said.

“They only played long balls to Giroud to flick. When you play against a team so predictable it’s quite easy to adapt to it.

“I thought we wouldn’t concede any goal in this match. But of course Hazard is a very good player and he created a penalty.”

But the Chelsea manager insists he is an even bigger hero this season than last, when his team lifted the Premier League title.

Conte, whose side have endured a difficult campaign, finishing fifth in the league and missing out on Champions League football next season, has had a running battle all season with the board over transfers.

But whatever his fate, he is determined to finish the season on a high today with a win over his bitter rival, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.

Conte, linked with a move back to his homeland to take the reins at either of the Milan clubs or Napoli, said: “Sometimes you can win but the club decides to sack you anyway because they have a reason to.

“Last season we were heroes for Chelsea’s fans. Now our status, me and the players, has changed. But in my soul and my heart, I’m always a hero because I gave 120 per cent this season to solve the problems.

“Our job is very difficult. This season, I worked better than last. And, for sure, I worked harder.

“I didn’t change my commitment to the club. That has always been the same. I don’t know if something changed.”

Conte, who seems certain to be replaced after the final with Chelsea’s search for their 11th permanent manager under owner Roman Abramovich already underway, added: “When you have positive situations, it’s simple. When you have negative, then you must be prepared to work very hard and improve.

“Last season was wonderful. We did fantastic work with the players. But when you win that way, you go at 300kph, or you go at normal velocity and don’t risk burning your engine.

“When you win, you must understand which is the best way to improve. If you are clever, you understand what is wrong.

“You must divide the responsibility, positive or negative, with three parts: club, manager and players. Last season we were heroes. This season we are, I don’t know what, but I don’t care. I just want to win.”

Mourinho added: “Honestly I don’t know what Antonio’s situation is. Sometimes I read that it is Antonio’s last match, the other one is coming, Luis Enrique is coming, but until it’s official I don’t know.

“If it is his last match or not, I don’t think it will change at all his approach to the game and his desire to make it through and to win.”

Mourinho, who has won the FA Cup once, with Chelsea in 2007 when his side beat Sir Alex Ferguson’s United, has triumphed in 12 out of 15 finals in his career with various clubs.

“The only thing I can say is that I like to play the matches, and that is the way you have to approach finals,” he said.

“You shouldn’t go to finals less than very happy. If you gave me the choice of finishing the match against Watford last week and then going on holiday, or working one more week to play a beautiful final, of course I would rather play a beautiful final.

 You have to be happy, not nervous, not tense.”

Conte’s chances of seeing out the final year of his contract have been questioned all season, and yesterday the Italian refused to say whether the clash with Huddersfield will be his final game at Stamford Bridge.

Conte insists his focus is trained on the twin tasks of steering Chelsea into the top four and beating Manchester United in the FA Cup final.

But he admits he then expects the debate surrounding his future to be quickly silenced.

“I’m sure that I am Chelsea’s coach and my focus is only on this,” he said.

“It is very difficult to comment on any speculations because there are speculations around me from the start of the season after the first game against Burnley.

“And this speculation is not important for me because my focus is only to work in the best possible way with my players.

“There are only two weeks and this season will finish and you will know if there is a different situation or if you see me again next season and we start again from the first game speculation about my future.

“But I am very focused on trying to finish the season in the best possible way and I try to transfer my will to my players and also because the fans deserve this.”

Asked whether he would like the chance to lay down long-term foundations at a club, he added: “In this decision there are always two parties, not only one side, and I don’t know.

“I like to work with my players, build something important, but in our job it is very important the final result – especially when you are in a great club like Chelsea.”

Midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is expected to keep his place after turning in one of his best displays of the season in Sunday’s win against Liverpool.

Conte said: “We are talking about a young player, only 22 years old, and this is his first season in this country.

“To arrive and adapt yourself quickly in this league is not simple, to go into our idea of football.

“He has the right characteristics to play for Chelsea. I trust in him and he played a good game against Liverpool.”

The Russian billionaire is unhappy with the way Chelsea’s season has plunged into disarray this season, with his club now set to miss out on the top four and the chance of Champions league football next season – and with only the FA Cup left to aim for.

Previous Chelsea coaches like Andre Villas-Boas and Felipe Scolari have been axed at the point when Champions League qualification was threatened.

But with just six weeks of the season left Abramovich is reluctant to hand Italian Conte a pay off yet for the remaining year left of the deal he signed after winning the title last season, worth around £9.5m.

Sunday’s disastrous 3-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge by Tottenham means Chelsea, with just six games left of the season, are eight points off the top four.

The Italian brought him to the club when he arrived in 2016, all of them also having a year left on their contracts – which would make it even more expensive.

Chelsea have an FA Cup semi-final against struggling Southampton in three weeks and are strong favourites to make it to the May 19 final against either Manchester United or Spurs.

Former Chelsea manager Gianluca Vialli insisted on Sunday that the unhappy Conte was “almost looking forward” to leaving the club. But those close to him have said that the Italian will not resign.

Yet unless there is a rapid change of heart from Abramovich, Conte – on around £182,000 a week – and his staff will not now be paid off until the season ends.

Under the terms of his deal, Conte is entitled to be paid for up to a year until he gets another job.

Paris Saint-Germain, who are set to sack current coach Unai Emery at the end of this season, could be a future destination.

Former Barcalona coach Luis Enrique, ex-Borussia Dortmund chief Thomas Tuchel and Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri are on the hit list to replace Conte and Juventus coach Massimo Allegri’s hint this week that he wants to work outside Italy in his next job, has also alerted Abramovich.

Conte’s leaving could herald a summer of major change at Chelsea, with top players like Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtis, neither of whom have yet signed the new deals that have been offered them, set to be targets for Real Madrid, among other clubs.

An ageing squad is likely to be overhauled by any new manager coming in.

Chelsea go into the London derby at Stamford Bridge lying five points behind their fourth-placed rivals and, with only seven games to go in the Premier League season after the match, anything other than a win would leave Conte’s team with an almost impossible task.

And the Chelsea manager is struggling with injuries to two of his key players, with Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and Danish defender Andreas Christensen both returning from the international break injured.

“If we win, we go very close to Tottenham,” said Conte. “Otherwise, it will be difficult to take a place in the Champions League.

“Nothing is impossible. But we have to win every game, not make mistakes, and not drop points in this final run of the season.

“Our target for this final stretch is to take a place in the Champions League and reach the final of the FA Cup, and then try and win it. These must be our targets.”

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has hinted that top scorer Harry Kane could make a surprise early comeback at Stamford Bridge after three weeks out with ankle ligament problems but Conte has warned his team that their opponents are not just a one man side and have other players that can cause Chelsea problems.

Conte said: “We are talking about one of the best strikers in the world. When you have a striker who scores 30 goals every season, for sure when he’s missing you feel it.

“But Tottenham have many talented players. They play good football with great intensity. In the past, they showed that, despite Kane missing games, that did not change.

“We are talking about a great team, a really good manager, many talented players in this team. I have great respect for Tottenham. In these last few years, they have grown a lot. Now they are one of the best teams in England.”

Courtois withdrew from the Belgium squad this week with a hamstring problem and returned to Chelsea for treatment, while Christensen was sent home by the Danes suffering from fatigue.

Conte will monitor the duo over the next 24 hours before making a decision but the Chelsea coach has a problem if Christensen is ruled out, with his normal potential replacement, Brazilian David Luiz, now out for three weeks with a knee problem. Gary Cahill, left out by England this past fortnight, is the man likely to step in.

Conte said: “We have to check this couple of situations, see what their real physical condition is, if they’re able to play. At this moment it’s very difficult to tell.

“We’ll try and recover Christensen but, otherwise, it wouldn’t be the first time Gary has played in this role. We are talking about a great player and someone I trust.”

“I’m happy with Chelsea,” he added. “I am just thinking about the end of the season and the World Cup. I have got two years left on my contract so I am just happy.”

And the 27-year-old is expected to be the leader of the Belgium side this summer with many tipping them as potential winners.

“Four years ago was the first World Cup for almost all of the players in the national team,” he said.

“Now we have the experience four years later so we know what to do to be ready.

“We have one target which is to go to the final and then we will see what happens.”

Adam told BBC Radio Five Live: “I was surprised Barcelona never come for him when they went for Dembele.

“I think he’s that good. He can play for any other team in Europe.

“He’s strong, [got] power, pace, scores goals and his best position is off the left, that’s where he had his best season.

“You can sense he is getting frustrated at Chelsea.

“And maybe if the manager doesn’t go, I think Hazard might go in the summer.”
