With the new season of Doctor Who rapidly approaching, viewers of the BBC sci-fi show have been treated to a series of teases over the last few weeks.
Now, new companion Bradley Walsh, 58, has teased a few more details about his character Graham, who will be one of the oldest companions to journey with the Doctor over the past few years.
Graham will join Ryan (played by Tosin Cole) and Yas (Mandip Gill) as they travel through time and space with 36-year-old Jodie’s doctor.
Bradley has revealed he hopes viewers will have a connection with his older character despite the age gap with his new friends.
Discussing his character with Metro.co.uk, Bradley said: “Hopefully younger viewers will look at my character and some of the things I say and do and think, “Oh my dad would say that. Oh my grandad would say that” so that’s me.
“I’m the elder statesman keeping that sort of side of it together. You’ve gotta keep the grey pound happy,” he continued.
The one-minute trailer paid homage to Jodie as the first ever female Doctor to take the reigns of the TARDIS.
One of the main features of the new companions showed the three characters defending their Gallifreyan friend.
An unknown character is heard asking Ryan: “Why are you asking her?” to which the younger companion replies: “Because she’s in charge, bro.”
As the character continues to question, the three companions get behind the Doctor as they seem to have built up a trust with their new friend.
“Says who?” the character hits back, to which Graham joins Ryan and Yas to say: “Says us.”
Bradley praised his co-star Jodie in a recent interview with People, urging viewers to tune in to see the new era dawn.
The Chase presenter said: “If there are any Doctor Who fans out there, Jodie is magnificent.
“It was unbelievable. It is really big stuff and they have gone for it,” Bradley continued referring to the production teams efforts.
Bradley has worked with new showrunner Chris Chibnall, 48, previous to his time travelling role.
The TV personality worked alongside the writer when he starred as DS Ronnie Brooks in ITV drama Law and Order:UK from 2009-2014.
With a new series, comes a new time slot as the Time Lord’s adventures will now broadcast on Sunday night’s in a show first.
After several reports around the schedule change, the BBC confirmed last month that Doctor Who will air on Sunday evenings.
Following the announcement, Chris said in a BBC statement: “New Doctor, new home! Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor is about to burst into Sunday nights – and make the end of the weekend so much more exciting.”
Doctor Who returns October 7 on BBC One.

The FIFA 19 Web App release date has arrived (Image: EA SPORTS)
UPDATE ONE: The FIFA 19 Web App release date has arrived, with EA Sports set to launch one of the first features later today.
It’s expected that the Web App will launch around 6pm in the UK and will be followed by the Companion App on Android and iOS on September 20.
EA Sports have yet to confirm release times, with the latest predictions coming from how launches have been scheduled in the past.
It’s expected that the official FIFA 19 social media feeds will announce when the new Web App is live and ready to be used.
Player prices will remain unknown until players flood into the Web App, but good squads averaging around the 80 overall rating mark will be achievable within days of picking up the game.
ORIGINAL: The new FIFA 19 Web App is set to release later this week and will provide fans with their first taste of the new game coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC.
The new Web App and Mobile Companion for Android and iOS will provide early access to the FUT transfer market, as well as other in-game features.
The release date is big news for fans, as it means they can start planning and possibly generating coins for their future squads.

Past iterations of the popular Web App has allowed fans to access their squads and club items, hit the FUT store, check out the transfer market, as well as scan the leaderboards.
Not to mention be able to open FUT packs away from your PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
And it looks like FIFA fans will get their big head start with the Web App in just a few days.
From what has been posted on the EA Sports website, the Web App release date has been set for September 19.
That means players will get the chance to start working on their squads from Wednesday onward.

“The FUT Web App and other FIFA Web features are down for maintenance while we prepare for FIFA 19,” EA Sports confirms on the official FIFA 19 FUT website.
“The new web app launches on September 19th.”
No official time has been announced for when the Web App will go live, but based on how things have gone in the past, we have a pretty good idea.
It’s likely EA Sports will work to their normal 6pm, BST, time frame, and release the Web App then.
There are also other criteria for getting access to the Web App, if EA Sports decides to do things like they did with FIFA 18.
Last year, not all FIFA 18 fans were able to access the service, as they needed to meet certain criteria to be able to use the Web App.

Here is what you needed for early FIFA 18 Web App release date access:
You must have created a FUT Club before August 1, 2017, to get early access to the FUT 18 Web and Companion apps.
Your FUT 17 account must still exist.
Your account needs to be in good standing. If you were banned or had other actions taken on your account in FUT 17, you won’t get early access.
It’s also expected that a second app, the FIFA 19 Companion App for Android and iOS, will go live later this week.

This is for use on your mobile phone and was something that went live a little later in the week during last year’s FIFA launch.
The good news is that fans only needed to wait an extra day to get access to this, so it will probably go live on September 20.
There’s sound wisdom for splitting up the two launches, as both are likely to swamp EA servers.
You can expect the Web App to crash when it goes live on September 19, and the Mobile App to struggle on September 20.
This will be down to the sheer number of FIFA fans hoping to get early access to both, before the release of FIFA 19.
I love unwinding at night in my room, and there’s no better way to set the mood than with a diffuser. Pop in your favorite essential oil and within minutes you’re enveloped by a soothing scent almost as comforting as your coziest throw. While there’s no medical evidence that aromatherapy can cure any diseases, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say it improves your general happiness and well-being.See the rest of the story at Business Insider

They’re sturdy, resilient and reliable. Sure, the camel may well be the ultimate travel companion for desert adventures but, asks our featured contributor Leon McCarron, how do you even go about buying one?
A quick disclaimer: I have never bought a camel.
I am, you might say, an aspirational camel buyer. I’m in the market for one. And yet I live in London, so it probably won’t transpire any time soon. Instead I’ll continue to scheme, and dream, and wait for the day until I can legitimately call myself a camel owner.
A fair question might be: Why would someone in London think of buying a camel? Of course, I don’t want it here. It wouldn’t be particularly useful on Oxford Street on a busy Saturday—not that it would even be the oddest thing there. What I do aspire to, though, is to purchase a camel for another desert crossing at some point in the future.
To date, I’ve traveled on foot in the Gobi and the Empty Quarter, and in 2016, I spent a couple of weeks in the Southern Sinai desert. There, I walked with two Bedouin and a wonderful, friendly and sturdy camel called Harboush. Harboush carried all the kit for our team of four, as well as food for over a week and up to three days’ worth of water. He walked over cracked, hardened earth, through soft and rippled sand, and over sharp, fractured granite rock.
Never once did he complain, and our only falling-out was on the first evening when he got his nose into the box of cucumbers. In hindsight, it was a small tiff, and all was soon forgiven.
Firstly, Emma reports, one begins by deciding what sort of camel one wants—there are racing camels, breeding camels, camels for milking, and so on. In Sinai, a young male camel for the purpose of traveling long distances should cost between $ 600 and $ 1200 depending on age and pedigree. And if that sounds a lot, when I asked the same question of a friend in the UAE, I was told that $ 1000 wouldn’t even buy a blind, lame beast in the Gulf.
Next, you look at some of the physical elements. “A prospective buyer should stand behind the camel and watch it walk, checking the gait for irregularities,” she says. The ears and tail also have telltale signs about the health and strength of the animal and, as Emma wonderfully summarized in a translation for me: “It’s all about the hump.”
RELATED: Meet the men who spent 46 days in the wilderness (on purpose)
The hump is a fat store—not water, as is sometimes believed—and there should be space behind it. This indicates good breeding. Then there’s the question of personality. Camels will not display too many unique characteristics until about the age of four or five but after that, by watching how they interact with other camels (as well as humans) one should get an idea of whether it is generally cheery—like dear Harboush—or whether they are inherently grumpy, and therefore best passed on.
Perhaps the most romantic notion of all travel with animals is that of journeys on horseback; riding off into the sunset in Rockies or the Andes or, as adventurer Charlie Walker did, into the Mongolian grasslands. Charlie’s story is, in equal measures, exciting, and cautionary.
He had arrived in Ulaanbaatar, having walked for six weeks to get there from Beijing, and begun to dream of taking the weight off bloodied feet for the next stage. After asking around, he was driven out to a nearby village where, amid regular sessions of copious vodka-drinking, he was shown all manner of skinny and un-suitable Mongolian horses.
RELATED: What does it take to be a professional adventurer?
Around midnight, one was brought out that looked reasonably healthy (thought whether that impression had anything to do with the vodka consumed remains a mystery). A deal was struck but, when he returned in the morning to collect his new steed, he was presented with an entirely different horse—or, rather, a rather small and unimpressive-looking pony. He saddled up nonetheless, and set off.
As one might expect, the results were mixed. ‘Little Nicky’ was moody, and the best that can be said of their relationship is that they came to co-exist in relatively harmony—but in the knowledge that really neither was happy. Eventually, Little Nicky was stolen in the night by horse thieves (or, perhaps, pony thieves.) Charlie finished his walk on foot. Next time, Charlie said, he’d look for a stronger, friendlier Central Asian Horse. Or, take a motorbike.
I too have used horses on journeys in the past, with reasonable success, and I even once bought a donkey (though I never actually took it anywhere—that’s a story for another time).
But it’s still the camel that I have my heart set on. It seems, from the stories of friends and experts both here and elsewhere, that they key is to make sure the animal has been well-treated in the past, and that I (or you) as a new owner will continue to do that.
As a final tip—and this advice has cropped up numerous times, including from Sinai—when it comes to really assessing an animal, some people just know. I’m not sure if this means that there are imperceptible differences, or if it’s more of a mystical thing, but whatever it is, it sounds good.
Sadly, I don’t have the gift. I’m pretty sure of that. But, perhaps you do. And, if these stories have awakened a previously dormant camel-lover within you, then there’s only one way to find out. All I ask is that if you do go to buy a camel anytime soon, you take me with you.

“Does the glass move or is the haptic feedback tricking my brain?”
Sometimes you have to ask dumb questions. I was 99 percent sure Audi’s updated MMI infotainment system was creating the illusion that the display moved when I pressed it. But, you have to ask questions just in case. I was informed that the glass does not move.
In addition to tricking your brain, the new infotainment system, called MMI Touch Response, has done away with the rotary dial found on the previous version; there are now two displays instead of one. The top 10.1-inch main screen handles navigation, media and most of the car’s settings and the new, smaller 8.6-inch display takes care of climate controls, text input and shortcuts. The setup is a leap forward for Audi’s in-car tech. That is, if you’re a fan of digital climate controls.
I actually liked the old rotary dial. It gave you quick access to the system without moving your hand too far from the shifter. The top of the controller also had a capacitive touchpad that let you “draw” letters. It was a huge improvement to the hunt-and-peck on-screen keyboard found in some vehicles.

Fortunately, when you do need to input letters into the new system, the lower screen becomes a giant tablet. Even better, the new MMI lets you quickly write out the letters in sequence and it keeps up. Just write the letters over one another and you got yourself a word. I thought I’d miss the rotary controller, but after a few days, I was fine with its absence.
As noted earlier (with the dumb questions), Audi has done a commendable job on the haptic and audio feedback for their infotainment system. Initially, it took a bit to get used to the amount of pressure needed to use the touchscreen — I wasn’t tapping hard enough for the first 15 minutes. But after an hour of driving up and down the autobahn, I adjusted to the pressure requirements. It’s a bit like when everyone got excited about Apple’s Force Touch glass trackpad? Audi’s basically done that for cars.
I’m happy to say that Audi’s plan to make a flatter menu system was a success. I never felt I was more than two taps from something I would interact with while driving. It’s helpful that the automaker moved the most used items to the left-hand side of the screen: Navigation, home screen, media, phone and radio. They’re available via a single a tap that doesn’t require you to stretch to the far side of the display.
Throw very little latency into the mix and you have yourself a winner. Well, mostly a winner.
As I’ve said before, I’m not a fan of climate controls on touchscreens. I’m the type of person that constantly adjusts the temperature and fan and I like a physical control that I can reach for without looking. That’s not available in the new A7 anymore. Instead we have screens and, frankly, people like myself should get used to it, because it’s how we’re going to interact with all cars at some point.

That said, plenty of people like touchscreen controls and they’ll be fans of what Audi has done. Another feature I enjoyed is that when you tap and hold on the temperature, you can then swipe up and down to adjust it. The Velar has the same feature and its slick while also being useful.
There’s a plethora of other updates and new features. Voice control now supports natural language and can find places (like Starbucks) along your route. The climate control display also doubles as a shortcut area for places, people, media and other items you use a lot.
It’s a smart update and further evidence that automakers are serious about taking control of the in-car experience. While Apple and Google are making incremental updates to CarPlay and Android Auto, automakers are investing heavily in trying to surpass those systems.

Not only is this important for how we drive now, but it’s paramount for the future where we’re relegated to being passengers in self-driving taxis or our own autonomous vehicles. Those robot cars are a ways off, but it’s important to lay the foundation now. Audi is joining a host of other automakers planning for the future because eventually, what’s in the dash will be more important than what’s under the hood.
