No, Season 15 of Grey’s Anatomy doesn’t kick off with Jo and Alex having a baby or Meredith and Nick entangled in a torrid love affair. “We pick up right where we left off,” Camilla Luddington told Michael Ausiello when she stopped by TVLine’s San Diego Comic-Con video suite to promote Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the third in a series of video games in which she voices action heroine Lara Croft. “There’s not like a massive time jump.” There may, however, be a massive change in store for her character. “I’ve heard rumors — rumors-rumors — that Jo might find her specialty this season, which is really exciting and is a long time coming,” she said. “I’m interested to see what it is.” On her Season 15 wish list are two items. First, “I do hope that at some point Jo does find out who her family is,” she said. “I feel like that’s the final mystery behind her that she doesn’t know any information on.” And second, since Luddington is a fan of “sexy Meredith,” she’s as eager as viewers for Scott Speedman to reprise his role of Nick, the doctor with whom Grey clicked so well during his brief stay at Grey Sloan. “He was one of the first people that she really had that spark with” since Derek, the actress noted. So yes, when she reported for duty at the show’s first table read next week, she jokingly promised to do what she could to “make Speedman happen.” Press PLAY on the video above to watch the whole Q&A, then hit the comments. What’s on your Grey’s wish list for Season 15? Donel Mangena isn’t even on Tom’s team but it seems the legendary singer is a big fan of his. The Voice contestant made a big impression during his first performance of Cold Water by Major Lazer. After interspersing the lyrics with Zimbabwean ones, his grandmother ran out to congratulate him. She then made history on ITV’s show after dancing with Donel and the rest of his family in the most fabulous way possible. Everyone on the coaching panel was in awe of the elderly lady who had travelled all the way from Zimbabwe just for the occasion. Speaking to press including Express.co.uk at The Voice’s live show launch, will.i.am – who is Donel’s mentor – revealed some bad news. He confessed: “Donel has been dealing with his grandma potentially not being able to come and watch him.” Fellow panellists Jennifer Hudson and Olly Murs demanded to know if she would make it. Will tentatively responded: “She has just got her visa so fingers crossed!” Tom joked: “Good – if she’s not coming I’m not coming.” Meanwhile, Tom’s team will be hoping for a successful performance this evening. Ruti Olajugbagbe and Lucy Milburn will no doubt be singing their hearts out to gain a place in the coveted final. They will face tough competition from Donel and fellow will.i.am teammate, Tai. Jennifer’s offerings of Bella Voci and Gayatri Nair are sure to provide the goods as well. Tomorrow’s first live show will be completed by Olly’s Lauren Bannon and Jamie Grey. This comes after will.i.am accidentally revealed a big secret about Prince Harry. After much debate about whether he should release the information, the Black Eyed Peas star spilled some tantalising details about Donel. The youngster received an exciting letter from Prince Harry inviting him to perform for Queen Elizabeth’s 92nd birthday. Meanwhile, Jennifer and Olly demanded to know where their invitation was. The Voice UK airs tonight on ITV at 8.30pm. His character, Aidan Connor, will be exiting the soap as part of a top-secret plot. Cast and crew are under strict instructions not to reveal any details about the character’s fate. The source revealed to The Sun: “Nobody will see this coming. Viewers are going to be absolutely stunned. It’s going to be a blow for the fans – but also a massive TV moment. “Everybody wants Shayne to be a huge part of the show next year.” His final scenes will be aired in May. Shayne joined the soap three years ago as the cousin of Michelle (Kym Marsh) and has had his fair share of key storylines, including his disastrous wedding to Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley). The insider added: “Shayne has become one of Corrie’s most popular actors. He’s a huge hit with the fans and has even won awards for his performances.” Shayne won the Best Newcomer category at both the National Television Awards and the Inside Soap Award in 2016. The actor was also the winner of The X Factor in 2005. Coronation Street continues on Friday at 7.30pm on ITV. Major changes are sweeping the Four Lands in The Shannara Chronicles‘ second season — and I’m not just talking about Wil Ohmsford’s fresh haircut.

While Daz’s estranged brother Dan Spencer (played by Liam Fox) is still inherently suspicious of him, despite his wife Kerry Wyatt’s (Laura Norton) best efforts to rekindle the pair’s bond, the unreliable character continues to betray their trust behind the scenes on the ITV soap.
In particular, when Amelia (Daisy Campbell) discovered her uncle’s suspiciously hidden army knife, Daz managed to keep her off the track and convinced her he’d gotten rid of it.
Speaking to OK! Online, Jordan finally confessed that the truth will rock the lives of all those Daz cares about, saying: “It definitely bring a change of energy within the household, it has to.
“I really would suggest that in this moment in time, the slow build up to that point is just as important to the reveal because there’s so much openness that Daz is trying to offer up to everyone that I’m not sure that anyone will see it coming.”
The former Heartbeat actor added: “The household will look at Daz in a different way after this.”
Jordan also teased that viewers will finally understand why Daz has been so intent on keeping his knife, saying: “It begs the question of why he needs that knife, which is something that you’ll find out why.
“That knife is important to Daz and I guarantee, it’s not what anyone is thinking. It’s a lovely little moment that obviously changes people’s perceptions towards Daz. I’d be interested to see how the viewers take it.”
The 41-year-old choirmaster-turned-judge was left visibly shocked after a performance on BBC One’s new singing competition which will see one choir take home a prize of £50,000.
Liverpool Media Academy’s Conor McKenna was performing as part of LMA in one of the final rounds of tonight’s episode.
Taking centre stage, Conor led the group with a rendition of Prince’s Purple Rain.
As LMA finished their routine, former choirgirl turned international recording artist Kelis said: “That was amazing,” prompting Gareth to say: “It was George Michael, the second coming!”
Host Mel Giedroyc was moved by the response and gasped: “Woah, standing ovation there from the judges!”
Gareth then explained: “I can’t believe that round. Just absolutely astonishing. Great solos from everyone. It was great.
“I felt like George Michael and Prince had a lovechild and his name is Conor. Oh my gosh. Really, you are a star. I really thought that was wonderful. Ridiculous.”
Kelis continued: “It was astonishing, it was great. I really liked how you all lined up behind him. The support was so strong and in unison. So strong and the tone was absolutely perfect.
“All around I think it was absolutely your best performance of the evening. I think you guys really nailed it. It was so good.”
Guest judge Will Young added: “This is what I love about music. LMA it was quite an experience to hear you sing, I have to say. It’s like… I mean I’m quite a reserved, you know, English person, and I couldn’t help but get up.”
Teasing the 38-year-old, Mel said: “Will, I was watching you, you were like a peacock. Your chest went first, the eye was going. Then the cummerbund was on full display. You were up on your feet. I watched you.”
Pitch Battle continues next Saturday on BBC One at 7.30pm.
The never-saw-it-coming death in Sunday’s Season 3 premiere of Fear the Walking Dead “was meant to feel like a kick in the balls,” showrunner Dave Erickson tells TVLine. Mission accomplished. But, before the EP explains why Travis had to die, a quick recap of the double header…
In “Eye of the Beholder,” Madison at last was reunited with Nick, and, after getting a handle on survivalist Jeremiah Otto’s sons, good guy Jake (The Following’s Sam Underwood) and sick f— Troy (Teen Wolf’s Daniel Sharman), everybody said a tense, momentary “Bygones!” about their previous, near-lethal interactions and headed for the Ottos’ ranch. En route with Jake, godsister Charlie, Alicia and an unconscious Luciana in Episode 2, “The New Frontier,” Travis was shot in the neck when an unknown someone — our guess — opened fire down below, and leapt from the helicopter to avoid endangering his traveling companions by turning in mid-air. By the time Alicia and Jake made it to the ranch with Luci, Charlie was walker food, and it was a toss-up as to whether Maddie or Jeremiah (Deadwood’s Dayton Callie) had a bigger hate-on for the other. Meanwhile, Strand got himself banished from the hotel by Elena and Hector for calming the masses by pretending to be a doctor — but not before being made to bear witness to Ilene’s suicide. Now then…
TVLINE | Talk me through the decision to kill off Travis.
Following Chris’ death, I think [his father’s] death was inevitable. Travis’ whole trajectory at that point was to do for his surrogate son what he’d failed to do for his biological one. Coming off of Chris’ death, Travis had failed. He’d broken his promise to Liza — he hadn’t protected their boy. So for him, it becomes very much a question of atonement and redemption. And the only way to do that is to return Nick to Madison, which he does. There was a version of the story that extended deeper into the season, but ultimately, we pulled it back and did it in Episode 2, really because of what it did for the rest of the characters going forward.
TVLINE | I thought it was pretty sneaky of you, letting him survive everything from Troy’s “science experiments” to the walker pit in the first episode, only to kill him at the top of the second.
The obvious way to go would have been for him to have his hero moment in the premiere and then die before the hour was over. For us, what was important was, we wanted the audience — and, more importantly, Madison, Alicia and Nick — to feel like, “Ah, we have a moment to breathe,” then take that away and ideally leave the audience breathless, at least for a moment. Which is what it does to Alicia if you’re watching. The way Alycia [Debnam Carey] played it is exactly the way it should have been played, [like] it was devastating and unexpected. It also leads to something of a bonding between her and Jake in the aftermath.
TVLINE | So there was something there. I didn’t imagine the spark.
That shared trauma will lead to a relationship that will develop over the next several episodes. It’s a very hard world, and I think what’s interesting in terms of the morality of the show is that Jake has echoes in him that are consistent with Travis. He has always been sort of a beacon within this community at the ranch, but he suffers for his idealism and his sense of hope. He’s endorsed the philosophy his father held before the apocalypse, and now, he’s very torn about his relationship with his brother. He knows there is a reckoning coming. I think what Alicia sees in him is someone who is unlike anyone else at the ranch.
TVLINE | Is it safe to assume that Travis’ shooting wasn’t as random as it seemed?
Yes, what seems like a random event isn’t. We’ll come to find out that the bullets were fired by a specific group for a very specific reason, and that, of course, becomes part of the larger story as we move forward.
TVLINE | Before I let you go, the rats that swarmed Willy… were they walker rats or… I mean, not that regular rats aren’t bad enough…
[Laughs] They were just rats. That was our way of ripping off 28 Days Later, because I love that tunnel scene when the rats are being chased by the infected. Also, Troy is very dark, and we wanted to have a character in the premiere that’s worse, and that’s Willy. He’s just pure evil — incredibly cruel and sadistic, and he has fun playing with Travis. And since Travis didn’t get to kill him, we wanted to make sure that he went away before the premiere was done. Jason Cahill, one of our writer/producers, pitched doing sort of a toothpaste thing with a character being pulled through a hole that’s too small, and we needed a way to claw him into this space, so that’s where the rats came from. He deserved it! So there was at least a little bit of justice in a very unjust world.
So, what did you think of the premiere? Grade it in the poll below, then hit the comments.
