Clapper, who famously lied about the NSA mass surveillance program before it was revealed by Edward Snowden, is back in the media spotlight, promoting his new book ‘Facts and Fears.’

The tome promises readers ‘Hard truths from a life in intelligence.’ However, perhaps the more interesting insights are on Clapper’s reflections on the so-called Russiagate scandal and investigations into the alleged hacking of the US presidential election.

In an interview with Bloomberg’s Tobin Harshaw, Clapper is asked about the US’ own history of election interference. ‘I guess the way I think about that is that through our history, when we tried to manipulate or influence elections or even overturned governments, it was done with the best interests of the people in that country in mind.’ It appears Clapper justifies these actions by claiming US motives are based purely on a “traditional reverence for human rights.”

US actions of overthrowing foreign powers has long been the subject of academic discussions and debate, with over 80 instances of it between 1946 and 2000 documented in Dov Levin’s report ‘When the Great Power Gets a Vote’ alone.

JAMES CLAPPER: There could be ‘other shoes to drop’ in the Russia investigation involving Trump’s finances https://briefnews.eu/james-clapper-there-could-be-other-shoes-to-drop-in-the-russia-investigation-involving-trumps-finances/ https://briefnews.eu/james-clapper-there-could-be-other-shoes-to-drop-in-the-russia-investigation-involving-trumps-finances/#respond Sat, 17 Feb 2018 09:14:24 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/james-clapper-there-could-be-other-shoes-to-drop-in-the-russia-investigation-involving-trumps-finances/ james clapperScreenshot via CNN

  • The former director of national intelligence James Clapper said he believes there could be “other shoes to drop” in the ongoing Russia investigation, and those forthcoming developments could involve President Donald Trump’s finances.
  • Clapper made that assertion Friday night, hours after deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein announced new charges against Russian operatives accused of meddling in the 2016 US election.
  • Special counsel Robert Mueller is deep into a multifaceted probe of Russian interference, and whether the Trump campaign cooperated with the Kremlin, among other elements.
  • Mueller is also looking into the financial dealings of several current and former Trump associates. Many of them, including Trump, have denied any wrongdoing. The president has previously suggested Mueller would be crossing a “red line” by digging into his personal finances.

James Clapper, the former director of national intelligence said he believes there could be “other shoes to drop” in the Russia probe, which took a dramatic turn on Friday after new charges against multiple Russian nationals and entities were announced.

“I think there are other shoes to drop here — notably finances,” Clapper said during a CNN interview Friday night. “I think that’s going to be another profound thing that’s going to come out about this.”

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper: Putin is handling Trump like a Russian ‘asset’ https://briefnews.eu/former-director-of-national-intelligence-james-clapper-putin-is-handling-trump-like-a-russian-asset/ https://briefnews.eu/former-director-of-national-intelligence-james-clapper-putin-is-handling-trump-like-a-russian-asset/#respond Tue, 19 Dec 2017 08:54:18 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/former-director-of-national-intelligence-james-clapper-putin-is-handling-trump-like-a-russian-asset/ james clapperAP

  • Former US Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said Monday that Russian President Vladimir Putin is handling President Donald Trump as an intelligence “asset.”
  • Trump has frequently praised the Russian leader and expressed the desire to foster closer ties with Russia. The two also share similar views on a number of topics, like the media and the ongoing Russia investigation.
  • Clapper said Putin appears to be using his past experience and training as a KGB officer in “managing a pretty important account,” referring to Trump.

In his sharpest critique yet, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper characterized President Donald Trump as an “asset” to Russia and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday.

Clapper appeared on CNN after Trump announced his new national-security strategy, which categorizes China and Russia as rivals whose interests are “antithetical” to the US.’ The White House additionally accused Russia of “using information tools in an attempt to undermine the legitimacy of democracies.”

During the press conference, Trump also brought up the phone call he had with Putin over the weekend, during which the Russian leader called Trump to thank him for sharing critical CIA intelligence that thwarted a planned terror attack in St. Petersburg.

“Yesterday I received a call from President Putin of Russia thanking our country for the intelligence that our CIA was able to provide them concerning a major terrorist attack,” Trump said. “That’s a great thing, and the way it’s supposed to work. That is the way it’s supposed to work.”

During Monday’s interview on CNN, Clapper said that the US and Russia have shared intelligence of that nature for quite a while, and that Putin’s phone call to Trump seemed “theatric” and was “illustrative of what a great case officer” he is. Clapper added that Putin, a former KGB operative, “knows how to handle an asset, and that’s what he’s doing with the president.”

Trump has long expressed both admiration for Putin, as well as a desire to foster closer ties with Russia. He has also frequently echoed Putin’s own talking points. Experts say the most prominent example is Trump’s initial reluctance to accept the US intelligence community’s findings that Russia intervened in the 2016 election to sway the race in his favor.

He repeatedly cast doubt on the assessment, at times suggesting that there was no way to be sure that Russia meddled, that it could have been private hackers who weren’t affiliated with the Russian government, that it could have been other countries, or rejecting the intelligence community’s findings altogether.

He has also dismissed congressional and FBI investigations into Russia’s election interference as politically-motivated “witch hunts” aimed at crippling his governing capacity, while disparaging the FBI’s reputation as the “worst in history.”

Clapper, former CIA director John Brennan, and former FBI director James Comey — all of whom Trump called “political hacks” — have repeatedly warned of Putin’s tactics, and Clapper said Monday that he appears to be playing to Trump’s characteristics. The Russian leader is reportedly briefed on all of Trump’s tweets — his preferred method of communicating with the public — and he has made remarks over the last few months that mirror Trump’s own beliefs.

Like Trump, Putin often denounces the independent press, and he recently criticized the Russia investigation as being “invented by the people who stand in opposition to Mr Trump to present his work as illegitimate.”

“You have to remember Putin’s background,” Clapper said Monday. “He’s a KGB officer. That’s what they do. They recruit assets.”

He added that Putin appears to be using his past experience and instincts now to manage “a pretty important account for him, if I could use that term, with our president.”

‘The Clapper’ Trailer: Ed Helms is an Infomercial Superstar https://briefnews.eu/the-clapper-trailer-ed-helms-is-an-infomercial-superstar/ https://briefnews.eu/the-clapper-trailer-ed-helms-is-an-infomercial-superstar/#respond Wed, 13 Dec 2017 23:06:37 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/the-clapper-trailer-ed-helms-is-an-infomercial-superstar/ The Clapper trailer

Ed Helms hasn’t quite been able to parlay his success on The Office onto the big screen, but perhaps his new film The Clapper will change that. The quirky romantic comedy has Helms playing a professional infomercial audience member who finds himself smitten with a gas station attendant played by Amanda Seyfried. Their romance is challenged, however, when a late night talk show host turns Helms’ world upside down. The Clapper trailer awaits you below.

Oh boy, this The Clapper trailer is really something. Dito Montiel, who directed the pretty good indie drama A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints, helms this rom-com that’s just loaded with quirks. The Clapper feels like a product of a different era – the early 2000s when indie films decided they wanted to emulate Garden State. Let’s all watch the trailer first, shall we?

The Clapper trailer

Here’s a fun drinking game: every time someone in this trailer says “The Clapper,” feel free to take a shot of an adult beverage of your choice. You’ll be blotto in a jiffy! The Clapper‘s official synopsis offers some insight into this film’s storyline:

Eddie Krumble (Ed Helms) moves to Los Angeles looking for a fresh start and becomes a professional paid audience member for infomercials and other live studio tapings, with his best friend Chris (Tracy Morgan) at his side. After a lifetime of drawing the short straw, Eddie seems to have finally caught a break as he forms a bond with winsome gas station attendant, Judy (Amanda Seyfried). But when Eddie’s many disguises and telegenic enthusiasm catch the eye of a notorious late night talk show host and his producer (Adam Levine), they turn Eddie’s life into the newest national obsession, threatening his budding romance.

There’s a lot going on here, but the thing that stands out the most is that Amanda Seyfried is playing a gas station attendant. That just seems…unlikely. But hey, movies don’t have to be realistic, and it’s clear Montiel is going for a sort of heightened-reality here. I think. Alright, I’ll be honest: this trailer just isn’t very good, and I can’t shake the feeling that it seems to be borrowing from a “Quirky Indie Comedy” playbook to fill out its storyline. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give it a chance, though. Who knows – The Clapper might turn out to be a pleasant surprise. If not, I advise you to check out Ed Helms in the 2011 comedy Cedar Rapids. It’s a surprisingly good movie that most people ignored.

The Clapper comes to theaters and VOD on January 26, 2018.

James Clapper: I didn’t know about Papadopoulos, Trump Tower meetings when I said there was no Trump-Russia collusion https://briefnews.eu/james-clapper-i-didnt-know-about-papadopoulos-trump-tower-meetings-when-i-said-there-was-no-trump-russia-collusion/ https://briefnews.eu/james-clapper-i-didnt-know-about-papadopoulos-trump-tower-meetings-when-i-said-there-was-no-trump-russia-collusion/#respond Sun, 12 Nov 2017 19:33:17 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/james-clapper-i-didnt-know-about-papadopoulos-trump-tower-meetings-when-i-said-there-was-no-trump-russia-collusion/ James Clapper DNI

  • Former DNI James Clapper said on Sunday that he did not know about two major events connecting the Trump campaign to Russia when he said in January that he had seen no evidence of Trump-Russia collusion.
  • “A lot more has come out that raises, I think, circumstantial questions if nothing else,” Clapper told CNN’s Jake Tapper.

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper told CNN on Sunday that he did not know about the meeting top Trump campaign advisers took with a Russian lawyer last year at Trump Tower to obtain dirt on Hillary Clinton when he said in January that he had seen no evidence of collusion between the campaign and Moscow.

Clapper was also not aware that a foreign policy adviser to the campaign, George Papadopoulos, was told about the Russian “dirt” on Clinton last April and had been trying for months to arrange a meeting between then-candidate Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, the former top intelligence official told CNN’s Jake Tapper.

“You said in January 2017 that you knew of no collusion,” Tapper said. “Did you know of those two events?”

“No, I did not,” Clapper replied.

“The statement I made at the time was true,” he continued. “I had no direct evidence of collusion. We had lots of concerns, because we were aware of multiple meetings that were going on.”

Clapper said that, for his part, he was “not directly aware of the content of these meetings.”

“But we were certainly concerned,” he said. “The dashboard warning lights were clearly on about what was going on. To say specifically that we had smoking gun evidence of collusion, no. But, of course, a lot more has come out that raises, I think, circumstantial questions if nothing else.”

Papadopoulos pleaded guilty to making false statements about his contacts with Russia-linked foreign nationals to federal agents on October 5. He now appears to be a cooperating witness in Mueller’s investigation of potential collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

New details have emerged, meanwhile, about the link between the Kremlin and Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya, who met with the campaign on June 9 to lobby for the repeal of the Magnitsky Act sanctions.

Trump told reporters on Sunday that Clapper, former CIA Director John Brennan, and former FBI Director James Comey were “political hacks” and reiterated his belief that the Russia investigation was a hoax created by Democrats.

‘Some interesting messages coming in from Moscow’

The revelation that a Maltese professor tied to the Russia government offered the campaign dirt on Clinton in the form of “thousands of emails” in April 2016 seems to move up the known timeline of Moscow’s election interference, and indicates that Papadopoulos knew that Russia was actively trying to undermine Clinton before virtually anyone else.

Hackers, believed to be Russian, breached Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta’s email server in March, but those emails were not published by WikiLeaks until October. News that the Democratic National Committee had been breached by Russia-linked hackers in late 2015 did not break until June 14, 2016.

The DNC documents were dumped by WikiLeaks one day before the Democratic National Convention.

The New York Times reported over the weekend that Papadopoulos wrote to Stephen Miller, then a campaign aide, one day before learning about the Russian “dirt” claiming that Trump had an “open invitation” from Putin to visit Russia.

But Papadopoulos kept trying to organize a meeting between the campaign and Russian government officials even after learning from the professor that Russia was trying to compromise Clinton.

He thanked the professor for his “critical help” after the professor told him about the dirt, according to the special counsel’s court filings, saying that it would be “history making” if a Trump-Putin meeting took place. He wrote Miller again that day saying he had “some interesting messages coming in from Moscow about a trip when the time is right.”

In an April email to then campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, Papadopoulos said he had gotten “a lot of calls over the past month” about how “Putin wants to host the Trump team when the time is right,” according to The Washington Post.

On May 4, he told Lewandowski and campaign cochairman Sam Clovis that Ivan Timofeev, a senior official at the Russian International Affairs Council, wanted them to know that Russian officials were open to Trump visiting Moscow.

Clovis replied that “there are legal issues we need to mitigate, meeting with foreign officials as a private citizen.”

But Papadopoulos was not deterred: He sent the same email to Paul Manafort — listed as a “high-ranking campaign official” in the government filing but identified previously in a Washington Post report — on May 21, just after Manafort was named campaign chairman, telling him that “Russia has been eager to meet with Mr. Trump for some time and have been reaching out to me to discuss.”

The special counsel’s filing indicates that Manafort forwarded Papadopoulos’ email to his longtime business associate Rick Gates and wrote: “Let’s discuss. We need someone to communicate that DT is not doing these trips. It should be someone low level in the campaign so as not to send any signal.”

‘Re: Messages from Russia’

It is unclear whether Papadopoulos had told anyone in the campaign, at this point, about the Russian “dirt” on Hillary Clinton. On June 1, 2016, Papadopoulos again emailed an unidentified “high-ranking campaign official” and asked about Russia, according to the special counsel’s office.

The official referred Papadopoulos to the “campaign supervisor,” who Papadopoulos emailed with the subject line “Re: Messages from Russia.”

“I have the Russian MFA asking me if Mr. Trump is interested in visiting Russia at some point. Wanted to pass this info along to you for you to decide what’s best to do with it and what message I should sent (or to ignore),” he wrote.

On June 3, 2016, music publicist Rob Goldstone emailed Donald Trump Jr. and said, “The Crown prosecutor of Russia … offered to provide the Trump campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father.”

The information, Goldstone said, was “part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump.”

“If it’s what you say I love it especially later in the summer,” Trump Jr. replied.

Six days later, Trump Jr., Paul Manafort, and Trump’s son-in-law and top campaign adviser Jared Kushner met with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya — identified as a “Russian government attorney” in Goldstone’s emails — on the promise of dirt on Clinton.

The memo Veselnitskaya brought with her to that meeting, which focused largely on undermining the banker-turned human rights activist Bill Browder, contained many of the same talking points as one written by the Russian prosecutor’s office two months earlier. Browder’s reputation has become inextricably linked to the global human-rights campaign he launched in 2009 after tax lawyer Sergei Magnitsky died in a Russian prison.

“The Veselnitskaya memo has exactly the same talking points as the Russian government’s position on the Magnitsky case,” Browder told Business Insider last month.

He added: “That is the strongest indication to date that Veselnitskaya is an agent of the Russian government and not some independent operator as she claims.”

JAMES CLAPPER: US intelligence assessment of Russia’s election interference ‘cast doubt on the legitimacy’ of Trump’s victory https://briefnews.eu/james-clapper-us-intelligence-assessment-of-russias-election-interference-cast-doubt-on-the-legitimacy-of-trumps-victory/ https://briefnews.eu/james-clapper-us-intelligence-assessment-of-russias-election-interference-cast-doubt-on-the-legitimacy-of-trumps-victory/#respond Sat, 23 Sep 2017 07:58:01 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/james-clapper-us-intelligence-assessment-of-russias-election-interference-cast-doubt-on-the-legitimacy-of-trumps-victory/ James Clapper intelligence NSAAP

  • The former director of national intelligence, James Clapper, said an assessment by the US intelligence community on Russia’s US election interference “cast doubt” on President Donald Trump’s legitimacy.
  • Clapper’s comments follow an avalanche of recent news about Russia’s efforts to sway American voters in 2016.
  • The Russia investigation has gained significant momentum in recent weeks, with several current and former Trump insiders under scrutiny for their ties to, and contacts with Russian operatives.

James Clapper, the former director of national intelligence, said Friday that the US intelligence community’s assessment of Russia’s interference in the 2016 election “cast doubt on the legitimacy” of President Donald Trump’s victory.

“Our intelligence community assessment did serve to cast doubt on the legitimacy of his victory in the election,” Clapper said of Trump in a CNN interview Friday evening.

“I think that, above all else, is what concerned him, and I think that transcends, unfortunately, the real concern here, which is Russian interference in our political process which, by the way, is going to continue,” Clapper said.

Watch the segment below:

It was the most direct assertion about the effects Russian operatives had in the US election — the investigation of which has evolved exponentially in the last four months under special counsel Robert Mueller, who is overseeing the Russia probe on behalf of the US Justice Department.

Mueller and his investigators have focused on several people close to Trump who have ties to, or have made contact with, the Kremlin — including former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, former national security adviser Michael Flynn, and others. Information gleaned from US government surveillance of Manafort prompted concerns that he had encouraged Russians to “help with the campaign,” according to a CNN report on Monday.

Kremlin operatives reportedly bragged about trying to use people close to Trump — like Flynn, Manafort, and former foreign-policy adviser Carter Page — to make inroads with the campaign.

And Donald Trump Jr. became the subject of heavy scrutiny in July when it was discovered that he, along with Manafort and the president’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner attended a meeting with a Kremlin-linked Russian lawyer who promised to deliver dirt on Hillary Clinton.

Russia’s efforts to sway the US election were further revealed this month when Facebook announced that Russian-associated Facebook accounts had purchased $ 100,000 in ads during the election. The ads were used to target voters in some battleground states.

A soft spot for Trump

Clapper’s assertion that Russia’s activities cast doubt on Trump’s legitimacy will likely strike a nerve with the president. Aides and allies have said previously that Trump’s ire toward the Russia investigation stems from that exact notion that Russia’s meddling potentially diminishes his November 2016 victory.

Trump himself is a subject of Mueller’s investigation for possible obstruction of justice, for his part in the firing of former FBI Director James Comey. Trump has said that he had the Russia probe in mind when he made his decision, and later said that firing Comey took “great pressure” off of him in the investigation.

To date, neither Trump nor anyone subject to Mueller’s investigation has been accused of any wrongdoing, and Trump has denied the same.

Hillary ClintonScreenshot via CNN

For her part, Clinton has made crystal clear whom she blames for Russia’s interference.

In an interview with USA Today published Monday, Clinton said she thought some Trump associates had an “understanding” that Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted her to lose and Trump to win.

“There certainly was communication, and there certainly was an understanding of some sort,” Clinton said.

“And there’s no doubt in my mind that there are a tangle of financial relationships between Trump and his operation with Russian money,” Clinton said, adding that she was confident the Trump campaign “worked really hard to hide their connections with Russians.”

The federal government told election officials in 21 states on Friday that hackers had tried to break into their systems before the 2016 election, The Associated Press reported.

Key battleground states like Florida, Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia were among those targeted, the report said. The AP said the government did not specify who the hackers were, but election officials in several affected states told the news wire service that the attempts were linked to Russia.

SAN FRANCISCO — Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper reaffirmed his belief that Russia interfered in the 2016 US presidential election, and that the Kremlin was planning to “prep the battlefield” for future elections here.

“They’re going to stretch the envelope as far as they can to collect information,” Clapper said on CNN. “I think they’re here to reconnoiter and collect as much as they possibly can on the United States.”

Clapper’s remarks come amid a new CNN report that claims Russian spies were increasing their efforts to collect intelligence on the US, according to intelligence officials cited by the news network. The officials argued that the Russians were emboldened by the tepid response to its hacking activities from President Donald Trump and the Obama administration that preceded him.

Trump’s comments at a news conference in Poland on Thursday also rankled critics who have criticized his unwillingness to accept the intelligence community’s assessment that Russia had meddled in the US election.

“Well I think it was Russia, and I think it could have been other people and other countries,” Trump said. “It could have been a lot of people interfered.”

“We saw no evidence whatsoever that it was anyone involved in this other than the Russians,” Clapper said. “As long as we don’t push back with the Russians and take the necessary measures to foreclose, they’re going to continue.”

“This is an assault on us, our nation, our country, regardless of party,” continued Clapper.

Clapper also addressed Trump’s correlation between the national intelligence community’s faulty 2002 assessment on weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and the 2016 findings about Russian election-hacking in the US.

“It was 15 years ago and the intelligence community has done a lot of things to make sure that never happens again,” Clapper said. “Yes, it’s true that was a big mistake. But we’ve learned from it and inserted and injected a lot of safeguards to prevent that from ever happening again.”

“And because of that experience, and [me] having lived through it, that’s why my confidence level is so high, and the veracity and fidelity of the information that went into that intelligence community assessment,” Clapper said.

“We didn’t include evidence in our report that had any reflection of collusion between members of the Trump campaign and the Russians. There was no evidence of that included in our report,” Clapper said, referring to a paper compiled by the NSA, FBI and CIA, together with the office of the DNI.

When asked if such proof even existed, he said: “Not to my knowledge.”

The show’s host, Chuck Todd, continued to press the issue, asking: “If [evidence] existed, it would have been in the report?”

Clapper answered that “this could have unfolded or become available in the time since I left the government. But at the time, we had no evidence of such collusion.”

Todd hinted that the public could start wondering if the situation is “all just smoke,” given the absence of a “smoking gun.”

“Well, that’s a good question. I don’t know,” Clapper responded. “I do think, though, it is in everyone’s interest, in the current president’s interests, in the Democrats’ interests, in the Republican interests, the country’s interest to get to the bottom of all of this, because it’s such a distraction. And certainly the Russians have to be chortling about the success of their efforts to sow dissension in this country.”

Clapper, however, still appeared unable to put his finger on where to look for any proof of the alleged “dissension-sowing.”

Asked if he still believed the Trump-Russia collusion claims, Clapper stated: “Yes, I do.”

Clapper is not the first to face questions over the issue of any substantial proof – or the lack thereof – of the Trump-Russia allegations.

At the end of February, the House Intelligence Committee chief, Rep. Devin Nunes, told journalists that they “still haven’t seen any evidence” of “any phone calls [between the Trump campaign and Russian officials]” but mysteriously added: “It doesn’t mean they don’t exist.”

Moscow has repeatedly denied allegations of contact with the Trump campaign, with the Kremlin spokesman lamenting that it’s become difficult to distinguish fact from fiction in the US media.

“Those reports are not based on concrete facts,” Dmitry Peskov said in mid-February, commenting on claims made by the New York Times and CNN, among others. Peskov noted that “there are five different sources in the story and none are named. So you see, really laughable stories are now given a go.”

James Clapper, the director of national intelligence from 2010 until January 2017, said on Sunday that he was not aware of any wiretapping of President Donald Trump during the 2016 election or before he took office, as Trump has alleged.

In early morning tweets on Saturday, Trump accused former President Barack Obama of ordering the wiretapping of phones in Trump Tower weeks before the election, without providing evidence of such an act.

The White House issued a statement on Sunday asking Congress to look into “whether executive branch investigative powers were abused in 2016” as part of the larger investigation digging into ties between Trump’s inner circle and Russian operatives.

Clapper told NBC’s “Meet the Press with Chuck Todd” that in his purview as head the US intelligence community, he could deny that there was a request for a wiretap. The Guardian had reported in January that the FBI allegedly requested a warrant from a FISA court (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance) in October to monitor Trump campaign officials who were suspected of improper ties to the Russian government.

“For the part of the national security apparatus that I oversaw as DNI, there was no such wiretap activity mounted against the president-elect at the time, as a candidate, or against his campaign,” Clapper said.

He also welcomed the bipartisan, independent investigation that the Senate Intelligence Committee is conducting into Russia’s actions, saying it could “look at this from a broader context” than the intelligence agencies could.

Clapper added that, in the report the intelligence agencies compiled in the fall on Russia meddling in the US election, there was no evidence that the Trump campaign illegally conspired with Russian operatives.

“We did not include any evidence in our report — and I say, ‘our,’ that’s N.S.A., F.B.I. and C.I.A., with my office, the Director of National Intelligence — that had anything, that had any reflection of collusion between members of the Trump campaign and the Russians,” he said. “There was no evidence of that included in our report.”
