actor Jack, who plays David Platt in the soap, sneakily added three unscripted lines into last night’s show.

The 30-year-old ad-libbed a line in three separate scenes in the hope it would make the final programme cut.

Cheekily, the soap star managed to get away with it, later posting a video clip to his social media accounts to reveal all.

In the first scene, Shona Ramsey (played by Julia Goulding) can be seen listening to David as he gasps: “I tell you. If I knew who did it. I mean, it’s just…”

A second scene includes Max Turner (Harry McDermott) with his stepfather David, saying: “Wait till I see Dev. I mean, it’s just…”

A third scene showed the character walking along the street raising his arms and saying: “I mean, it’s just…”

Taking to Instagram, Jack posted the short clip to his 245,000 followers.

The star captioned the clip: “If anybody noticed these ad libs tonight well done, they made me laugh at least. I mean, it’s just…”

He added on Twitter: “Love an add lib for my own amusement. I mean, it’s just….

“Massive ad lib, massively over top acting but funny.”

The short video is just eight seconds long but but has amassed more than 106,000 views on Instagram and another 101,000 on Twitter.

Fans instantly took to social media to reply to the clip.

One viewer tweeted: “@JackPShepherd88 David’s new catchphrase.”

“@JackPShepherd88 Must run in the family like the Audrey noise,” posted another.

A third said: “Made my week and killed my nostrils cause I laughed so hard while drinking xx.”

“@jackpshepherd88 I thought the bit were you were taking a sup of your drink through the straw in the restaurant was hilarious I was like it looks like he didn’t mean that and he’s giggling lol love it,” wrote another.

A fifth added: “Always enjoy your acting! We look forward to your genius delivery!”

Could this be the first David Platt blooper on the soap, or has actor Jack been spicing up his scenes with ad-libs for years?

Jack’s character has been through a rollercoaster year on the show after being drugged and raped by Josh Tucker (Ryan Clayton).

He went through a break-up with Shona following his harrowing ordeal, before the pair were open and settled their problems.

The beach volleyball gold medal-winner from the Sydney 2000 Olympics dropped a comment that many fans believe was racially insensitive when commenting during Australia’s massive win over St Kitts and Nevis on Sunday at Coolangatta Beach.

The 52-year-old sporting icon claimed during the match that the players from the West Indies nation looked like “human lamingtons covered in sand”.

Pottharst’s comments about St Kitts and Nevis duo St Clair Hodge and Shawn Seabrookes went down like a led balloon with fans on social media, The Herald Sun reports.

“The commentator just said the dark skin from the player mixed with sand made him look like a human lamington GET THAT WOMAN OFF THE AIR,” one viewer posted on Twitter.

“Your commentator called a volleyball player a HUMAN LAMINGTON. Seriously?!?!” wrote another.

“Appalling commentary: “Human lamington” used by Channel 7 commentator for a St Kitts and Nevis beach volleyball player.”

Pottharst publicly apologised on Sunday night.

“I made a comment I unreservedly apologise for and sincerely regret. It was 100 per cent not meant to offend.”

It was the second on-air gaffe for the host broadcaster at a major sporting event this year.

During February’s Winter Olympics, former aerial skiing champion Jacqui Cooper came under fire for saying Chinese competitors ‘looked the same’.

“They all look the same, it’s very hard to tell who’s who,” she told viewers.

She later clarified her remarks, saying she was referring to their similar style and technique, not their physical attributes.

Earlier, Aussie pair Chris McHugh and Damien Schuman fired a warning shot to Commonwealth Games rivals during their crushing win over St Kitts and Nevis.

Schumann dominated with his serve in a comprehensive first set, but McHugh then smacked one in at 96km an hour — just two shy of the tournament high — in their 21-3 21-10 win.

The result clinches a quarter-final spot for the host nation despite having one more pool match to play against Trinidad and Tobago on Monday before the elimination draw is released later that night.

It was a scorching start from the Australian duo on Sunday, claiming the first 16 points of the match before wrapping up the set in a stunning 14-minute exhibition.

But the host nation took their foot off the pedal in the second, with the healthy Coolangatta beach crowd warmly cheering every point from St Clair Hodge and Shawn Seabrookes.

“Darren served lights out in the first set. He served really tough which is always good for the team, it was something that we’re focusing on,” McHugh said after the match.

“They were a bit tired today so we managed to get a jump on them early. The second set they showed what they can do but we managed to stay on top.”

The presenter stepped in to apologise after he swore while discussing what it felt like to perform on the roof of Buckingham Palace. 

“When you look back at your life. What has been the most joyous for you?” asked. 

As Suggs listed off a number of highlights, he noted that playing the roof of Buckingham Palace was one he would not forget. 

“What were you thinking as you were standing there on the roof of Buckingham Palace. Madness, this group of lads who had got together, what were you actually thinking?” the 52-year-old quizzed.

Suggs, 57, replied: “S**t! I’m really afraid of heights.”

Piers quickly noted: “Susanna likes to apologise at these moments when people like to do that. 

“Susanna would you like to apologise please?”

“I apologise for that use of language,” the brunette beauty quickly noted. 

“Really? Never met the right guy?” the father-of-three asked. 

Susanna, who was married to sports correspondent Dominic Cotton for 16 years, awkwardly replied: “Erm…”
