But after suing the cheat developer AimJunkies last year, Bungie is now facing a countersuit. AimJunkies claims the developer illegally hacked an associate's computer, reports TorrentFreak (via Kotaku). Additionally, they allege Bungie also violated the DMCA by breaking through that machine's security.

Bungie's current Limited Software License Agreement (LSLA) gives the company's BattleEye software permission to scan computers for anti-cheat tools, but that wasn't true back in 2019, when the alleged hack began. According to AimJunkie's counter-suit, Bungie accessed a computer owned by its associate James May several times throughout 2019 and 2021. It goes on to allege that Bungie used information from those hacks to gather information about other potential suspects.

Phoenix Digital, the company behind AimJunkies, didn't stop there. It also claims the Bungie violated its Terms of Service by buying AimJunkies' software and reverse-engineering its source code. If this all sounds a bit ironic, that's because Bungie accused the company of similar tactics in its original suit. James May and Phoenix Digital are demanding damages, as well as an end to any future hacks and DMCA breaches. We've asked Bungie for comment, and will update if we hear back.

Married At First Sight Australia: Why did Jessika and Dan cheat? Dating expert spots signs https://briefnews.eu/married-at-first-sight-australia-why-did-jessika-and-dan-cheat-dating-expert-spots-signs/ https://briefnews.eu/married-at-first-sight-australia-why-did-jessika-and-dan-cheat-dating-expert-spots-signs/#respond Tue, 23 Feb 2021 09:09:46 +0000 https://briefnews.eu/married-at-first-sight-australia-why-did-jessika-and-dan-cheat-dating-expert-spots-signs/

Married At First Sight Australia is airing on E4 in the UK and fans have been catching up with season six. The series saw 12 couples tie the knot having never met before, but the idea of love at first sight has been difficult to prove. A dating expert has spoken exclusively to Express.co.uk about the unforgettable moment Jessika and Dan cheated.

Why did Jessika and Dan cheat?

Married At First Sight Australia is renowned for its intense level of drama and scandal as the couples try to navigate their new relationships.

Jessika Power was a 27-year-old admin officer from Perth when she signed up to the series, which originally aired in 2019.

She was matched with Mick Gould, a 31-year-old farmer from Queensland, and they spent their honeymoon in Palm Cove.

They broke up after it was revealed Jessika had been having an affair with co-star Dan Webb, 35.

Dan had been paired up with Tamara Joy and they were the final couple to join the season six cast.

Fans were shocked to hear Jessika and Dan were allowed to continue their relationship despite having been unfaithful to their original partners.

They decided to commit to their final vows at the end of the experiment but broke up shortly after.

Their affair was known to have been one of the most controversial moments of the entire season, and Match’s dating expert Hayley Quinn has shed some light on the situation.

She said: “The nail-biting moment of infidelity was when Jessika snuck off for a kiss with Tamara’s husband Dan.

“[It] was a good example of acting on the spark, without perhaps thinking things through.

“I wish I could have sat him down, and Tamara. I feel terrible, I went against complete girl code. I went behind her back.”

Expert Quinn said personality and sexual attraction are both important when it comes to finding a new partner.

She said: “Getting married at first sight means that you already have huge expectations about the future of the relationship.

“Without knowing one another beforehand, the couples will have built up a picture of what the other one is like in their minds.

“Believing that the other person, and the relationship, is going to be perfect sets you up for disappointment later down the line.

“The couples will have to face up to the fact that they’re not a perfect match to the person they dreamt up and put in the hard work to get to know the real person who they’ve married.

“This will inevitably involve compromises, disappointments and obstacles as they build a real relationship, not an extended honeymoon.

“Everyone is different in terms of what they prioritise in relationships and for some people attraction is more important than others.

“Attraction to someone is what makes it a relationship, and not a friendship. However, I believe it’s often easier to grow attraction towards someone than try to change their core personality.

“When it comes to their character, chances are that they are who they are by the time you meet them, so accept them for who they are, or find someone who is a better fit for you emotionally.”

Here’s how to tell if you cheat because of love or lust — and why it’s important to know the difference https://briefnews.eu/heres-how-to-tell-if-you-cheat-because-of-love-or-lust-and-why-its-important-to-know-the-difference/ https://briefnews.eu/heres-how-to-tell-if-you-cheat-because-of-love-or-lust-and-why-its-important-to-know-the-difference/#respond Fri, 09 Nov 2018 16:21:50 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/heres-how-to-tell-if-you-cheat-because-of-love-or-lust-and-why-its-important-to-know-the-difference/ cheating lustVolodymyr Tverdokhlib / Shutterstock

  • All relationships will have their ups and downs.
  • But many people say cheating is the worst thing their partner could do to them.
  • Some people cheat out of lust, while others have affairs because they fall in love with someone else.
  • It’s important to know the difference, as lust means you’re outsourcing your sex life, while love means you’re emotionally unfulfilled by your current relationship.
  • Here’s how to work it out.

“The course of true love never did run smooth,” said Lysander to Hermia in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”.

The obstacles the couple in Shakespeare’s play faced are unlikely to be as much of an issue today in modern dating. You may not have to worry so much about your father’s opinion on who you should marry, or have to dodge advances from characters like Demetrius.

A cheat sheet for the new Galaxy Note 9 S Pen https://briefnews.eu/a-cheat-sheet-for-the-new-galaxy-note-9-s-pen/ https://briefnews.eu/a-cheat-sheet-for-the-new-galaxy-note-9-s-pen/#respond Fri, 24 Aug 2018 16:24:07 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/a-cheat-sheet-for-the-new-galaxy-note-9-s-pen/

In its quest to lure more users to the flagship Note 9 phones, Samsung imbued its S Pen with many new powers. Now, in addition to letting you scribble on the screen, the stylus serves as a remote trigger for the Note’s camera, letting you launch the app, switch lenses and snap pictures from a distance. But it’s not just a camera remote control. The new S Pen is also a presentation clicker, a track skipper, a pointer and, at its heart, a very good stylus. Thanks to Samsung’s helpful onscreen tips when S Pen remote controls are available, you don’t have to dig very deep to learn how to use them. But there are a few controls you might not even know exist without a trip to the settings menu. And for those who want to get the most out of their S Pen, here’s a quick guide.

Remote controls

Thanks to its new Bluetooth Low Energy module, the S Pen can interact with your phone from up to 30 feet away. The first thing you’ll want to do is make sure you set your handset to alert you when you’ve left the stylus behind. By default, this is activated, but if for some reason yours is disabled, go to the Removal section of the S Pen settings (search for “S Pen” in settings, then go about halfway down the page) and slide the Alarm toggle to the right.

While you’re here, you should also choose what the phone does when you slide the S Pen out of its slot. By default, doing that opens the Air Command suite of tools on the phone, which is something I found annoying. Now that the S Pen is my remote control, I’m not usually looking to write a note or sketch a friend when I remove it. I generally want to take a quick picture or even use the stylus as a cursor instead, and the Air Command interface gets in the way. You might even prefer it if removing the S Pen did nothing. Or, if you’re someone who only uses the S Pen to write notes, then set this to “Create note.”

In fact, if you don’t want to use your stylus as a remote control at all, you can deactivate this altogether by tapping into the S Pen Remote option at the top. On this page, not only can you disable the tool, but you can also delve into deeper refinements.

If you’re not a big shutterbug, you can change the app that launches when holding down the pen button to any other app on your phone. It looks like you can eventually set specific actions too, although none are currently available.

Once you’ve done that, you should also decide what single and double clicks in compatible apps do. Right now, only eight apps on my Note 9 show up in the list with customizable options — Camera, Gallery, Shutter, Media, Chrome, Hancom Office Editor, PowerPoint and Snapchat. In most of these, you can choose from two to five actions for each gesture. For instance, in Media, you can set a single press to Play/Pause, Skip or Do Nothing. It’s not the largest set of choices, but hopefully we’ll see more developers incorporate this feature with time.

All the default options here are pretty useful, so I wouldn’t change most of them. I do recommend tweaking the single press action for Chrome, though. Instead of using it to go back a page (which is easier with the onscreen button), you could set it to scroll down instead — handy for say, reading recipes in the kitchen without smudging the screen.

You should come back to this page every so often, or after you install new apps, to see if more integrations are available. When you’re satisfied, go back to the S Pen settings page and go to “Unlock with S Pen remote.” This is not something everyone will feel comfortable enabling. It will make it so that you can unlock your Note 9 by pressing the S Pen button. It’s useful for when your phone’s fallen asleep during a long presentation or selfie session — you can wake your handset without having to walk over to where you left it.

But there are security issues — someone might be able to use this to access your personal data if they have your phone and the S Pen. To be clear, you’d have to have been using the S Pen as a remote control for this to work, which requires the phone to already be unlocked. It also doesn’t work when the S Pen is out of power. This means there are very few, specific instances when this can be exploited — but it’s still potentially dangerous.

To mitigate this, only turn this setting on when you think you’ll need it — like right before a long presentation, for example. Disable it as soon as you’re done.

Stylus and Air Command

The remote controls are neat, but the S Pen is also a great stylus. My favorite feature is Screen Off Memo, which lets you write on the Note even when it’s locked. Samsung color-matched the ink on this feature to the stylus, so a neon yellow S Pen writes in bright yellow ink, while the lavender one shows up in purple.

It looks great on the Screen Off Memo’s black background, but once you save the note to the phone, its background becomes a pale white-ish beige. The bright inks are hard to read on this, and there’s no option to change the background color after the fact. What you can do is turn off the signature color setting so you’ll write in a boring but legible white (which shows up in Notes in black).

The rest of the S Pen settings here will be familiar to Note users — like Air View for previews that pop up when you hover the pen over events in your calendar or pictures in your album. Remember to select your favorite shortcuts on the Air Command circle or disable the floating badge for this altogether if you don’t use this feature often.

Navigation

The S Pen is really useful as a cursor when you’re editing paragraphs of text or dense spreadsheets on your phone. You can be sure you’ll select exactly what you want to by enabling Pointer, which will show a tiny circle where your S Pen is hovering on the screen. Existing S Pen users will again be familiar with this, but it’s worth pointing out again anyway.

Wrap-up

These are some of the tweaks i’ve found most helpful, but you can pick and choose the ones that work for you. The nice thing about the new S Pen features is how customizable they are — you can finetune it to your specific tastes. And if you don’t like any of these functions at all, then you’d honestly be better off with an S9+.

EU trying to cheat UK out of Brexit, May should walk away with no deal – Salvini https://briefnews.eu/eu-trying-to-cheat-uk-out-of-brexit-may-should-walk-away-with-no-deal-salvini/ https://briefnews.eu/eu-trying-to-cheat-uk-out-of-brexit-may-should-walk-away-with-no-deal-salvini/#respond Sun, 29 Jul 2018 08:31:09 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/eu-trying-to-cheat-uk-out-of-brexit-may-should-walk-away-with-no-deal-salvini/ Matteo Salvini, Italy’s right-wing interior minister and leader of anti-immigrant Lega Nord, has claimed that Brussels is trying to “swindle” London in their Brexit negotiations, telling Theresa May to walk away without a deal.

Salvini, an outspoken EU critic, told the Sunday Times that the British prime minister should adopt a tougher stance while dealing with Brussels. “My experience in the European parliament tells me you either impose yourself or they swindle you,” he maintained.

Salvini urged May to be ready to pull out of the talks without a deal “because on some principles there is no need to be flexible and you should not go backwards.” He also lashed out at the 27-member bloc, saying: “There is no objectivity or good faith [for Brexit talks] from the European side.”

The interior minister, who once advocated Italy’s separation from the EU, claimed that his country “definitely” wanted May to come away with a good deal. “I hope the negotiations end well for the UK to serve as an example of the people coming out on top of the EU,” he told the newspaper.

The remarks followed May’s announcement that she will now personally lead the country in negotiations with the European Union. A statement from the prime minister said a task force called DExEU (Department for Exiting the EU) will continue working on “both a deal and a no-deal scenario, all of the necessary legislation, and preparations for the negotiations to implement the detail of the future framework.”

Salvini is known for his critical stance towards the EU. Speaking at a rally in early July, he promised to “liberate the people from this Europe,” urging voters to turn the 2019 European Parliament elections into a “referendum between the elite, the banks, finance, immigration and job security, and the Europe of the people and of work.”

He told supporters: “I am thinking of a league of leagues that will put together all the free, sovereign movements,” referring to the idea as an “international alliance of populists.”

The Chase: Bradley Walsh conspires to CHEAT with a contestant ‘I’ll help you’ https://briefnews.eu/the-chase-bradley-walsh-conspires-to-cheat-with-a-contestant-ill-help-you/ https://briefnews.eu/the-chase-bradley-walsh-conspires-to-cheat-with-a-contestant-ill-help-you/#respond Tue, 01 May 2018 17:26:29 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/the-chase-bradley-walsh-conspires-to-cheat-with-a-contestant-ill-help-you/

Bradley Walsh had his sights set on a beach holiday in today’s episode of The Chase.

Gareth, the first contestant of the day, had plenty of ideas about what he wanted to do with his potential winnings.

One of which included hopping on a plane and jetting to India.

He revealed: “I’m planning a trip, and any winnings would go towards that.”

Strangely enough, Bradley had something similar in mind.

The presenter revealed: “You won’t believe this: I was talking to my son about planning on doing the same.”

Elated, Gareth excitedly commented: “If I win some money I’ll take you with me!”

Bradley questioned him further about who he will be going to India with.

“I’ll take you with me if I win,” Gareth announced.

With his seat on the plane firmly sealed, Bradley devised a plan to make sure Gareth won enough money to keep his promise.

He said: “You’ll need to win a lot – do well here and get a massive offer.

“If I know the answer to the question I’ll help you.

“If I know it I’ll go like this.”

Bradley then proceeded to shout the options: “A, B, C.”

Gareth agreed to this plan proceeded to gather £8,000 in his cash-builder round.

However Bradley didn’t end up cheating throughout the game.

The group ended up getting caught by chaser Jenny Ryan in the final chase.

Yesterday’s show saw Bradley accusing a contestant of being drunk.

After not knowing the answer to a question Bradley stared at her intently and asked: “Have you been drinking?”

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.

Cheating signs: Wife or husband who will cheat is most likely to vote for this party https://briefnews.eu/cheating-signs-wife-or-husband-who-will-cheat-is-most-likely-to-vote-for-this-party/ https://briefnews.eu/cheating-signs-wife-or-husband-who-will-cheat-is-most-likely-to-vote-for-this-party/#respond Fri, 09 Mar 2018 21:10:56 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/cheating-signs-wife-or-husband-who-will-cheat-is-most-likely-to-vote-for-this-party/

Cheating is taboo in most relationships, and can cause a great deal of heartache for the wounded husband, wife, boyfriend or girlfriend.

Many suspicious partners will be on the lookout for various cheating signs – but did you know your partner’s politics is an indication of how they will behave, according to one website.

Infidelity website Ashley Madison asked its members what party they vote for, and an overwhelming number opted for one party.

Those who voted Conservative made up the majority of cheaters on the site.

The website asked over 3,000 UK members which political party cheaters associate with and found that nearly half of members vote for the Conservatives, at 46 per cent.

This was followed by the Labour party (31 per cent) and behind that Liberal Democrats (15 per cent).

“Perhaps since more traditional values rule certain areas of their life, our UK members seek less rigidity in other parts, like their marriage,” says Isabella Mise, Director of Communications for Ashley Madison.

How do cheaters vote?

Conservative and Unionist Party – 46 per cent

Labour Party – 31 per cent

Liberal Democrats – 15 per cent

UKIP – 13 per cent

Scottish National Party – 7 per cent

Green Party – 6 per cent

Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) – 3 per cent

Plaid Cymru – 3 per cent

Isabella added: “Almost half our surveyed members (47 per cent) say their spouse votes for the same political party as they do compared to only 12 per cent who can say the same of their extramarital partners.

“However that may simply be because a large portion (78 per cent) don’t even know which political party their affair partner votes for.

“While 70 per cent of respondents think it’s important to stay informed, 64 per cent don’t care who their spouse votes for, and 81 per cent don’t care who their affair partner votes for.”

Among other cheating signs is how attractive your other half is, but only if they are a woman.

Women with one particular physical characteristic are more likely to cheat, and it’s not what you might think.

Your partner is more likely to cheat with one type of person.

A whopping third of married people who cheat on their other half do so with their ex, according to research by IllicitEncounters.com.

Married people are more likely to cheat with someone close to home, it’s been revealed.

Cheating WARNING: Women with this physical characteristic are more likely to cheat https://briefnews.eu/cheating-warning-women-with-this-physical-characteristic-are-more-likely-to-cheat/ https://briefnews.eu/cheating-warning-women-with-this-physical-characteristic-are-more-likely-to-cheat/#respond Fri, 02 Mar 2018 22:04:10 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/cheating-warning-women-with-this-physical-characteristic-are-more-likely-to-cheat/

Cheating signs include numerous strange behaviours, which have been revealed by relationship experts over the years.

Some are obvious, like someone fiercely guarding their mobile and snatching it away if their spouse goes near it.

Others are more subtle, including sleeping more soundly and doing their own washing.

However, some cheating signs are not behaviours at all, but physical attributes.

Women with one particular physical characteristic are more likely to cheat, and it’s not what you might think.

A study by Jim McNulty published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology found that less attractive women are more likely to cheat.

According to the researchers, the better looking a woman is the more likely she is to be faithful.

There is very little to explain why this might be the case, but there was an inverse correlation between attractiveness and the likelihood to cheat in women.

The same was not observed in men. Men, however, were more likely to cheat if they think their partner is less attractive.

Those men who do not rate their partner high on the physical attractiveness scale in comparison to the general population were far more likely to cheat.

There are a number of other signs that can indicate your spouse is more likely to cheat, and some are shocking.

It is claimed that Christians are more likely to be caught cheating.

Followers of Christianity are more likely to be unfaithful in their marriages than atheists, IllicitEncounters.com has claimed.

The site for online cheating asked its members to state their religious belief.

They found that 35 per cent of their members consider themselves Christians.

What is more, a whopping 90 per cent of women cheat who have two parents that have had extra marital affairs.
