The Flash’s Danielle Panabaker Details the Challenges of Directing Nora’s Backstory — Godspeed Tease Included https://briefnews.eu/the-flashs-danielle-panabaker-details-the-challenges-of-directing-noras-backstory-godspeed-tease-included/ https://briefnews.eu/the-flashs-danielle-panabaker-details-the-challenges-of-directing-noras-backstory-godspeed-tease-included/#respond Mon, 15 Apr 2019 23:07:47 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/the-flashs-danielle-panabaker-details-the-challenges-of-directing-noras-backstory-godspeed-tease-included/ For her directorial debut, Danielle Panabaker wasn’t handed any ol’ episode of The CW’s The Flash. Rather, she was tasked with bringing to life Nora West-Allen’s backstory (which of course takes place far into the future. Time travel!).

This season’s 18th episode (airing Tuesday at 8/7c) also picks up in the wake of the awaited reveal that Nora traveled back in time under the tutelage of none other than Reverse-Flash, which set Barry off bigtime, and those emotions won’t cool right away. TVLine spoke with Panabaker about her debut behind the camera and the critical scenes she had the opportunity to oversee.

TVLINE | What was the biggest or the most interesting challenge that this particular script presented to you as the director?
This particular script largely takes place in the year 2049 — it’s Nora’s origin story, so we’re flashing forward to the future — and I think that was the biggest challenge, creating a world 30 years in the future on a TV episodic budget. It allowed everyone to be really creative and really push themselves, but it was certainly a challenge.

Flash 5x18 Spoilers

TVLINE | When we left off, things had gotten super intense after Nora’s secret came out. Are there a lot of WestAllen family emotions going on?
Absolutely. I mean, that storyline is actually going to continue even past this episode a little bit, into 519, but yes, the betrayal that Barry feels is devastating to him. And as parents, they have to deal with this struggle that we have seen in a couple different ways this season, but not at this level of “how to parent” and what should they do.

TVLINE | I don’t recall seeing Grant like that in a scene, and maybe you haven’t either. Barry’s reaction was so explosive, it was kind of startling.
I mean, Reverse-Flash is his greatest villain. He killed his mother in front of him, so to find out that your daughter has aligned herself with him.… I don’t know how you get over that.

TVLINE | Do you think an episode that is more about emotions, is more about plot, is more accessible for a first-time director than if they’d given you something that was action-heavy?
I don’t know about more accessible. Certainly it’s a different challenge, and fortunately, it’s a language I speak being an actor and having studied characters so often. I’m not sure a first-time director who wasn’t an actor would have easily understood the nuances of these characters. I also have the great fortune of living with all these characters for 110 episodes, so I deeply and intimately know their backstories.

Flash 5x18 SpoilersTVLINE | Just before you called, The CW released photos from the episode and there’s this one of Eobard in his future prison cell with Barry staring him down. Tease the mood of that scene.
When I read my script, I was excited to shoot that scene, in particular, from the very beginning. I think Eobard actually has a line earlier in the season where he says [to Nora], “If your father knew this, he’d be here in a flash,” and it’s true. it’s an unbelievable scene between two incredible actors. They are so gifted, so talented, and the performances are so layered and so intense. It’s a really cool moment.

TVLINE | I also see interesting things going on with reflections in the glass. It’s framed very interestingly.
I had a lot of fun with it. That set can be a little bit challenging because it’s a little constricting, but I tried to use what I could to help tell the story visually, as well.

Flash 5x18 SpoilersTVLINE | The episode is called “Godspeed,” which is of course a DC Comics character. How does that come into play here?
I feel lucky that I get to do one if the few episodes this season that’s really about a villain speedster. Obviously, we have Reverse-Flash all season, but he’s not running, so I immediately called and asked for all the Godspeed comic books I could get my hands on. Godspeed is sort of Nora’s first foe [as a speedster] and I think there’s something really special about that.

TVLINE | And in this episode, what is Caitlin up to this whole time?
We pick up where we left off in Episode 17, seeing how shocked everyone was as this bombshell is revealed, and very quickly, Team Flash makes the decision to read Nora’s journal. That’s how we go into this flashback/flashforward into Nora’s origin.

Flash 5x18 SpoilersTVLINE | Looking ahead a little further: Icicle (played by Kyle Secor) is back the week after this. What’s he up to?

He has unfinished business, and he has a plan for which he needs Caitlin and interestingly enough, her mom. He comes back to town to reunite with his daughter and see if he can use her meta abilities to his advantage.

TVLINE | How are things with Caitlin and Carla (Susan Walters) these days?
A little rocky, per usual. A little icy. But I really enjoyed that we brought her into the show so much more and see Caitlin’s relationship with her and with her family. It’s important that her mom is around for this sequence.

TVLINE | Could there be some evolution, some growth for that mother-daughter relationship?
I think so. You know, Caitlin has matured over the years and I think maybe she’s open enough to seeing her mom’s remorse for mistakes she might have made.

TVLINE | Would you similarly describe things between Caitlin Killer Frost as now pretty simpatico?
Yeah. I love that this season they’ve really done a great job, in my opinion, of exploring their relationship with each other, and if they’re going to be able to coexist. I think they still would handle situations differently, but Killer Frost is definitely less acrimonious.

TVLINE | When I spoke to Sarah Carter, she was so excited that you, her former Shark castmate, are playing Cicada II’s most formidable foe.
It’s been so great to have her, and she brought a really cool layer to the show. Selfishly, I think it’s an incredible storyline for Caitlin, that she’s not affected by Cicada’s powers. 08:29) …. in various different ways but Killer Frost is still their “secret weapon.”

TVLINE | Lastly, what can you say about this season’s finale (airing May 14). How would you compare it to past ones?
Oh, man. Every year it seems like they somehow find a way to top themselves. We’re still in the middle of filming the finale, but it’s going to be really epic. I think it’s going to be devastating in some ways, and it’s got a twist on the typical Flash ending, which I’m excited for fans to see.

Fortnite High Stakes Challenges are back and include NEW rewards https://briefnews.eu/fortnite-high-stakes-challenges-are-back-and-include-new-rewards/ https://briefnews.eu/fortnite-high-stakes-challenges-are-back-and-include-new-rewards/#respond Thu, 14 Mar 2019 19:12:24 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/fortnite-high-stakes-challenges-are-back-and-include-new-rewards/

Most Fortnite fans will be busy completing the Week 3 Season 8 challenges released today on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and Mobile.

For those who fancy reliving some earlier Epic Games magic, the return of The Getaway Limited Time mode has been followed by a collection of new rewards to unlock.

This effectively means that The High Stakes Challenges featured during Season 5 are now back.

For those who don’t remember or didn’t play Fortnite during Season 5, the High Stakes Challenges were unlocked by playing The Getaway LTM.

This special Limited-Time Mode plays with the usual Battle Royale formula by asking fans to team up, find a safe, and then bring the contents back to a van found on the map.

Here are the rules, as confirmed by Epic Games last year: “Four safes have been loaded into supply drops scattered around the island, each carrying a large jewel.

“You and your crew must locate a safe, pick up the prize inside and get away with the goods while battling enemies. The first four teams to make their way to a van with a jewel and getaway win.”

The good news is that there are new High Stakes Challenges to complete, as well as the return of the older collection.

This means that if you didn’t play during Season 5, you have another chance to unlock some of the old gear, including the Crystal Llama back bling, which now comes in different colours.

Fans only have until March 19 to complete all the new Challenges set by Epic Games, while the old Wild Card outfits are also available to purchase from the item store.

The updated High Stakes Challenge list includes:

  • Complete The Getaway challenges (2)
  • Win a match of The Getaway (1)
  • Win matches of The Getaway (3)
  • Win matches of The Getaway (5)
  • Use a Grappler in different matches of The Getaway (5)
  • Deal damage to Jewel-carrying opponents (200)
  • Pick up a Jewel in different matches of The Getaway (3)

These new challenges should be available to all players regardless of it they have a Season 8 Battle Pass or not.

The good news for Battle Pass owners is that they complete these new tasks after finishing their weekly list of challenges.

Week 3 Challenges will remain available to complete until the end of Season 8, meaning it might be worth checking out The Getaway LTM to see if there are any items you fancy unlocking before March 19.

Piers Morgan challenges MP to turn down PAY RISE – 'PAIN you have caused British public' https://briefnews.eu/piers-morgan-challenges-mp-to-turn-down-pay-rise-pain-you-have-caused-british-public/ https://briefnews.eu/piers-morgan-challenges-mp-to-turn-down-pay-rise-pain-you-have-caused-british-public/#respond Mon, 04 Mar 2019 13:03:54 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/piers-morgan-challenges-mp-to-turn-down-pay-rise-pain-you-have-caused-british-public/

Appearing on ITV Good Morning Britain, the Conservative frontbencher defended the Prime Minister’s decision to offer a £1.6 billion package run-down towns post-Brexit. But when confronted by Piers Morgan with the recent announcement MPs will receive a 2.7 percent pay rise this year despite the “dog’s dinner” they made out of the Brexit process, Mr Brokenshire failed to admit he and his colleagues could have collectively refused the incentive.

Mr Brokenshire said: “We made a decision several years ago after that lack of confidence in MPs having that decision-making process of MPs setting their own pay and conditions to put that out into an independent body.

“That’s what collectively we’ve decided to do and now we have no say.”

But Piers Morgan hit back: “Come off it! You could collectively all say ‘we’re not going to have it’.

“You could. You could just say ‘you know what? In light of Brexit, in light of the pain we are causing the British public, this seems completely inappropriate and we as a body’ – because apparently the parliamentary staff who are doing all the dog’s work in all this they’re only getting 1.5 percent.

“That must be growing a bit of attention as you walk through the corridors of power.”

The Tory MP re-highlighted Parliament’s decision to trust an external body to judge and adjust MPs’ salary claiming MPs “couldn’t make those changes”.

But the ITV host responded MPs could have made “one popular decision” among the “terrible” ones they are at the moment making every day.

He said: “No, I get it. But it doesn’t mean you have to accept it.

“As a body you could say ‘we listen to the public, we think this is inappropriate and actually we are not going to accept it’.

“You could do that. I mean you’re making enough terrible decisions at the moment as it is, what about making one that would be popular?

“Seriously.”

MPs are to receive a 2.7 percent pay rise, taking their basic salary for 2019/20 from £77,379 to £79,468, sparking outrage among taxpayer and workers’ unions.

The £2,089 hike, effective from April 1, is well above the current inflation rate of 1.8 percent on the main CPI measure. It follows a 1.8% boost to MPs’ pay last year, 1.4 percent in 2017, 1.3 percent in 2016 and a big increase from £67,000 to £74,000 in July 2015. MPs’ pay is linked to average rises in the public sector, as determined by the Office for National Statistics.

The 2.7 percent figure was announced by the ONS on an interim basis in December and confirmed last week to the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA), which made the final announcement.

Following reforms to the way MPs’ pay is calculated, the rise is automatic and not subject to a vote in the House of Commons.

Chairs of Commons committees will enjoy a 2.7 percent increase to the additional salary they receive on top of their basic pay, taking it from £15,509 to £15,928.

Ministers’ salaries are determined separately.

Canadian NHL teams facing big challenges after all-star break https://briefnews.eu/canadian-nhl-teams-facing-big-challenges-after-all-star-break/ https://briefnews.eu/canadian-nhl-teams-facing-big-challenges-after-all-star-break/#respond Thu, 31 Jan 2019 04:44:37 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/canadian-nhl-teams-facing-big-challenges-after-all-star-break/ Now that the all-star break has come and gone, the NHL's regular season is down to its final 10 weeks.

For most of the Canadian-based teams, it's crunch time. The Calgary Flames, Winnipeg Jets and Toronto Maple Leafs are among the league's best, while the Montreal Canadiens and Vancouver Canucks have enjoyed surprisingly sound seasons.

Meanwhile, the Edmonton Oilers and Ottawa Senators have performed to expectations, which isn't a good thing.

Here's a closer look at each Canadian team entering the final two-plus months of the regular season and the 26 days before the Feb. 25 trade deadline:

Calgary Flames

Situation: 1st in the West and 2nd overall
Remaining Games: 31 (15 home, 16 away)
Games left against current playoff teams: 14 — @WSH, SJ, @TB, @PIT, NYI, @NYI, MIN, TOR, @VGK, VGK, @WPG, CLB, DAL, @SJ

The skinny: The Flames were supposed to be better under new coach Bill Peters, and they keep improving as season progresses. Peters' side has gone on a remarkable 11-1-2 run since Christmas and sit second in goals per game at 3.73. Only Tampa Bay has been better at 4.00 goals a game. Captain Mark Giordano has enjoyed a Norris Trophy-calibre season. He's second in defencemen scoring with 11 goals and 52 points, just three points behind leader Brent Burns of San Jose. Flames goaltending duo of David Rittich (19 wins) and Mike Smith (14 wins) should be fresh, having played 27 and 24 starts, respectively. GM Brad Treliving shouldn't tinker much with a winning lineup, other than adding a depth player up front.

Edmonton Oilers

Situation: Tied for 12th in the West, 3 points out of a playoff spot
Remaining Games: 32 (15 home, 17 away)
Games left against current playoff teams: 17 — @MTL, @MIN, SJ, @PIT, @NYI, NYI, @NSH, @TOR, @CLB, TOR, @VGK, CLB, DAL, @VGK, @COL, SJ, @CGY

The skinny: Three points is not much to make up, but the Oilers stumbled with a 5-12-0 slump before the break. The poor play resulted in the firing of GM Peter Chirarelli a week ago. This slide came after it appeared Edmonton was finding its way under new coach Ken Hitchcock with seven wins in eight games. The story the rest of the way will be CEO Bob Nicholson's search for a new GM. This franchise can't do much before the trade deadline because of salary cap woes and difficult contracts to shed. In the meantime, Hitchcock will search for ways the Oilers can better defend (24th in goals against) and improve their dismal penalty-killing unit (27th). The best player in the game, captain Connor McDavid, can only do so much to carry this struggling club.

WATCH | Connor McDavid wins fastest skater competition:

Ottawa Senators

Situation: Last overall
Remaining Games: 32 (15 home, 17 away)
Games left against current playoff teams: 16 — @PIT, @TOR, WPG, @WPG, CLB, CGY, @WSH, @TB, @NYI, NYI, @BOS, TOR, @CGY, TOR, TB, CLB

The skinny: The Senators will be closely followed the rest of the way. Colorado hopes Ottawa continues its basement-dwelling because the Avalanche has the Senators' first-round selection in the 2019 draft from the Matt Duchene trade 15 months ago. That could turn into a lottery win in the sweepstakes for Jack Hughes, the consensus first-overall selection in June. Will the Senators be able to sign Duchene and captain Mark Stone before the trade deadline? Both are set to become unrestricted free agents in the summer and don't have no-trade clauses. Both Stone (22 goals, 50 points) and Duchene (20 goals, 47 points) will be sought after trade targets. Off the ice there is the legal battle between owner Eugene Melnyk and his former business partner over a downtown arena venture.

Montreal Canadiens

Situation: Third in Atlantic Division, sandwiched one point behind Toronto and one point ahead of Boston. The Habs, however, have played two more games than the Maple Leafs and one more than the Bruins.
Remaining Games: 31 (15 home, 16 road)
Games left against current playoff teams: 15 — WPG, TOR, @NSH, @TB, CLB, @TOR, PIT, @SJ, @NYI, NYI, @CLB, @WPG, TB, @WSH, TOR

The skinny: Through a strong coaching staff, led by Claude Julien, and a balanced speed-demon, scoring attack that has seven players with 10 or more goals, the Canadiens have pushed themselves into the playoff mix. Like the Flames, the Habs have been playing their best in the last five weeks thanks to an 11-5-0 stretch. It no coincidence the return of captain Shea Weber has helped the Canadiens' cause. Montreal goalie Carey Price also has found his form. He has won his last four starts, stopping 134 of 138 shots. Price won't play against New Jersey on Saturday in order to serve his one-game suspension for skipping the all-star game. If the playoffs were to begin today the Habs would meet the Maple Leafs for the first time since 1979.

Toronto Maple Leafs

Situation: 7th overall, 2nd in Atlantic Division
Remaining Games: 33 (16 home, 17, away)
Games left against current playoff teams: 13 — PIT, @MTL, @COL, @VGK, WSH, MTL, @NYI, @CGY, TB, @NSH, @NYI, TB, @MTL

The skinny: The addition of Stanley Cup winner Jake Muzzin, 29, bolsters the Maple Leafs blue-line. Moving to Toronto a month before the trade deadline also allows Muzzin more time to become accustomed to his new surroundings. It will be interesting, however, to see Muzzin's immediate impact. The Maple Leafs lost seven of 10 outings before their win at home over Washington before the break. Despite the slump, Toronto (30-17-2) has five more points than last year's 26-18-5 team at this point, but they have a middling 15-12-0 record against playoff-bound teams. Does this skilled group have enough grit to win a playoff series, let alone a deep playoff run like the Jets pulled off last spring? Windows are small in this league now because of the challenges fitting second contracts under the salary cap. So will the Maple Leafs add grit before the trade deadline?

Vancouver Canucks

Situation: Tied with Colorado for the final wildcard playoff spot in the West, but Avalanche have played one less game.
Remaining Games: 31 (16 home, 15 away)
Games left against current playoff teams: 16 — @COL, @WSH, CGY, SJ, @SJ, NYI, @COL, @VGK, TOR, VGK, @DAL, CGY, CLB, DAL, SJ, @NSH

The skinny: Led by super rookie Elias Pettersson's 23 goals and 45 points the youthful Canucks remain in the hunt for the playoffs this late in the season. They are in the bottom half in goals for (19th), goals against (20th), power-play efficiency (22nd) and penalty killing (20th), and have dropped a spirit-crunching 13 of their 20 one-goal games – seven in regulation time and six more in either overtime or a shootout. Vancouver also survived a 13-game stretch between Nov. 10 to Dec. 4 in which it went a dismal 1-10-2. But led by young lions like Pettersson, 20, Brock Boeser 21, Bo Horvat, 23, and Jake Virtanen, 22, the Canucks keep coming on. Unlikely to be that active at the trade deadline because of their youth, the Canucks begin the final 10 weeks with a key road game against the team they're chasing, Colorado, on Saturday and they have a return date in Denver on Feb. 27.

Winnipeg Jets

Situation: 3rd overall, 1st in Central Division
Remaining Games: 32 (15 home, 17 road)
Games left against current playoff teams: 19 — CLB, SJ, @MTL, COL, @COL, MIN, NSH, @CLB, @TB, @WSH, SJ, CGY, @VGK, NSH, DAL, NYI, MTL, @MIN, @COL

The skinny: Kudos to the Jets for following up their impressive run to the West final last spring with another strong regular season. They are on the same pace they set a year ago with 66 points (32-16-2) after 50 games, compared to 66 points (29-13-8) last season. This playoff-ready team has put up some impressive numbers: sixth in goals-for, sixth in goals-against, fourth in power play and 11th in penalty kill. They begin the final 10 weeks of the regular season five points behind the Flames. Is it important to finish atop the West? The Flames have the best home record in the conference at 17-4-5. The Jets are next at 18-6-2. GM Kevin Cheveldayoff has pressure leading up to the trade deadline because he pulled off Paul Stastny deal a year ago. The Jets finish the season with 32 gruelling games in 66 days and have been without defenceman Dustin Byfuglien (lower body) for the past month.

The trailer for Never-Ending Man: Hayao Miyazaki

If the name Hayao Miyazaki means anything to you, new documentary Never-Ending Man will, too. The film provides a pretty intimate, charming portrayal of the legendary animator from the announcement of his retirement (September 2013) through much of the production on Boro The Caterpillar, Miyazaki’s first film done entirely with CGI (that short film debuted last year).

Throughout a short hour-ish run time, this documentary maintains a very narrow focus. Never-Ending Man really only consists of footage of Miyazaki at home or at the studio, and it relies solely on interviews directly with the man or with collaborators on this project. The approach allows viewers to draw their own conclusions about why this work remains great and what makes Miyazaki tick rather than having any longtime observers or contemporaries spell such things out.

Even at this age (in his 70s), Miyazaki has an incredible dedication to detail, for instance. To make a less-than-15-minute short about a caterpillar, he’s putting insects under a microscope and working through several hand-drawn interactions before anything shows up on a computer screen. In early film footage showing pre-CGI life at Studio Ghibli, Miyazaki stands over young illustrator shoulders and offers nuanced feedback: “It’s important to draw full human beings, you’re drawing people not characters,” he tells them, soon offering slight critiques on a character’s running form or how they hold a bundled up blanket. Later when working with CGI, Miyazaki may not understand or have comfort with the tools and medium, but he continues to share similarly micro observations. “The turning motion is too adult like,” he says, watching an early render of Boro looking around his landscape. “Babies don’t turn their heads so sharply.”

Brexit U-TURN: Piers Morgan challenges former Remainer MP – 'why should we trust you? https://briefnews.eu/brexit-u-turn-piers-morgan-challenges-former-remainer-mp-why-should-we-trust-you/ https://briefnews.eu/brexit-u-turn-piers-morgan-challenges-former-remainer-mp-why-should-we-trust-you/#respond Mon, 21 Jan 2019 19:58:16 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/brexit-u-turn-piers-morgan-challenges-former-remainer-mp-why-should-we-trust-you/

Appearing on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, the Conservative Home Office minister was confronted by Piers Morgan on her 2016 pro-Remain campaign beliefs. Prior to the referendum, Ms Atkins claimed staying in the EU would mean “more jobs, lower prices and greater security”. But speaking to Piers Morgan today she admitted a good Brexit deal would deliver exactly the same things.

Mr Morgan said: “Two years ago you told us all when you were encoring us to vote Remain that staying in the EU would mean more jobs, lower prices and greater security.

“Now you’re telling us the complete opposite.

“Now you’re telling us that Brexit would mean more jobs, lower prices and greater security.

“So I put it to you that given you yourself clearly have actually no idea which one of these two things would be beneficial to this country, why should we trust any politicians like you to deliver anything beneficial to this country?”

The Tory MP replied she accepted to have been on the “losing side of the argument” and to want to keep the Government’s promise to deliver on the referendum result.

She said: “I was on the losing side of the argument, I’ve accepted that.

“And I said that I would honour the result of the referendum.”

The ITV host branded the admission a “shameless U-turn” on Twitter after the interview.

He wrote: “Takes a special kind of brass neck to perform so shameless a U-turn about such a major issue.”

Theresa May is expected to reveal her Brexit plan B to MPs in Parliament later today.

After the crushing defeat of her deal last week, the Prime Minister is unwilling to budge on her key demands and will be explaining how she intends to proceed in both oral and written statements to the House of Commons.

She will also table a “neutral” motion to be debated and voted on – along with any amendments tabled by MPs – on Tuesday, January 29.

This week will also see Mrs May reaching out to MPs, business leaders and trade unionists in an attempt to find a way forward, Government sources have confirmed.

Fortnite Ice Legion and Ice Storm challenges revealed for Season 7 https://briefnews.eu/fortnite-ice-legion-and-ice-storm-challenges-revealed-for-season-7/ https://briefnews.eu/fortnite-ice-legion-and-ice-storm-challenges-revealed-for-season-7/#respond Sun, 20 Jan 2019 05:53:51 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/fortnite-ice-legion-and-ice-storm-challenges-revealed-for-season-7/

A big event just happened that changed the Fortnite map in a big way.

Epic Games just announced that new enemies have been spread over the map, with new battles coming in the future.

“A new kingdom rises. Prepare for battle – dive in now to take on the Ice Legion and survive the storm,” Epic Games teased on Twitter.

Not only is the map now covered in snow but it is also filled with Ice Legions and fiends.

These returning enemies can now be found on the map and can cause some distraction when moving across it.

They can spawn in random places and appear with a shard that can be destroyed.

Much like the Fortnitemares event, they will probably stick around for some time during Fortnite Season 7.

As part of the big Fortnite Ice Storm event, covered by the Express earlier today, Epic Games has also released new Ice Storm challenges.

These will function in the same way as the 14 Days of Fortnite, giving players a new way of unlocking cosmetic items over a period of time.

The Daily Star reports that these are the first new Ice Storm Challenges that can be completed in-game:

  • Complete Ice Storm Challenges (6)
  • Destroy Ice Fiends (250 kills)
  • Deal damage with explosive weapons to the Ice Legion (5000 damage)

Completing these challenges earns players 500XP, while the first “Complete Ice Storm Challenges” will bag a player a Blue Metallic Wrap.

It’s believed that there will be 13 Ice Storm challenges in total, with a special bonus available to those who complete the full list.

More challenges will be released over the coming days, meaning more XP and more rewards for those who choose to complete them.

Other challenges that have been leaked online includes dealing damage with Explosive Weapons to the Ice Legion and dealing damage with Assault Rifles or Pistols to the Ice Legion.

Another leaked challenge includes destroying Ice Shards in different matches, although it’s unclear when these new tasks will go live.

More is expected to be announced by Epic Games in the coming days, although the developers have stayed quiet on the current update to the map.

From what has been shared online, the new Ice Storm event could end on Tuesday, January 29th, 2019, around 11pm GMT.

While the Fortnite event appears to be over, there could be more changes coming before the end of the Ice Storm in January.
