Not one, not two, but three agents saw their games go up in flames in Wednesday’s episode of The Challenge, which unleashed yet another security breach that put two veteran agents directly on the chopping block.

While two challengers left the Crater with crushed egos, the third ousted player was deemed medically unfit to continue. While we’d have to double-check the official Challenge record books, it seems Double Agents is (unfortunately) in the running to become the season with the most DQs/quits ever. Let’s recap the episode, shall we?

Last week’s cliffhanger left Gabby and Devin as two Compromised Agents awaiting opponents. This time around, the security breach activates a double elimination for the males, so the duo with the second highest amount of votes is also called down to the sand. That lucky pairing is: Josh The Goof and Nany. As the Double Agents, CT and Big T get to select the match-ups for both elimination rounds! They allow Devin to choose his own opponent — he picks OG Darrell (GASP!) — while CT decides to finally fight for his gold skull against The Goof.

In “Dead Ringer,” players must swing from “tall ass podiums” (always the poet, TJ!) to knock off puzzle pieces that hang on poles all around them. Then it’s a race to finish a tangram puzzle.

In Darrell vs. Devin, both players are neck and neck in terms of collecting their pieces, but when it comes to assembly, Darrell finishes first, stealing Devin’s gold skull and booking the Are You the One? player a one-way ticket home.

CT and The Goof are up next, and it’s not even a competition: CT smokes the puzzle before The Goof can even start it.

Double Agent CT gets first pick for his partner, and of course he’s sticking with Big T, right? Wrong. He makes a grand theatrical production of his decision to steal Kam, therefore kicking T to the curb… and you can see the sadness all over her face. (Lest we forget the very first day when CT rejected Kam as his partner, but OK, dude. Go off.)

In other duo news: Darrell sticks with Amber B., Kyle re-partners with Nany, Rogue Agent Cory chooses Gabby and the solo Nam picks up Big T.

Elsewhere in the episode:

The Challenge Double Agents Big T* CT’s decision to steal Kam has house-wide ramifications. Kyle feels completely betrayed and lied to by CT, while Big T feels like her game has been entirely ruined. (CT certainly could’ve delivered his decision in a more respectful way, especially given the fact that T won the daily challenge that gave him his opportunity at a gold skull. That was way harsh, Tai.)

* The Goof’s elimination brings Nany to tears. She says he’s the only one who truly lifted her up and got her head in the game when she wasn’t really feeling it in the beginning. But while Kyle may not be her No. 1 choice of partner, she could’ve ended up with much worse, no?

* Nam’s increased back pain sends him to the hospital, and when it comes time to compete, TJ delivers some terrible news: Nam is medically disqualified.

* CT attempts to apologize to Big T, and it’s as if the man has never apologized to a woman one single time in his life. T’s tears are absolutely heartbreaking, as she tells him he broke his promise to her and broke her spirit. His attempt at saying sorry ends in a screaming match after he tells T she’s just not ready for a final. Ouch! CT may or may not be right, but even if she doesn’t take home the $ 1 million, T is still a big winner this season.

* In the “Survive the Night” challenge, players will be locked in cells with their partners and forced to endure torturous conditions while completing a series of tasks. But we’ll have to wait until next week to see who wins.

Tell us, Challenge fans: Team CT or Big T? And who do you think will win the last available gold skull for the women? Sound off in the Comments!

Apparently some of The Challenge‘s rookies didn’t get the memo: This game is ugly.

On Wednesday’s episode, Olympian Lolo Jones got into a heated exchange following the daily challenge, while Amber M. grew suspicious of one of her closest allies, Amber B. Why is everyone so shocked when their competition turns shady? (Beats me.) Looks like a few of the newbs are in for a rude awakening. Here are the highlights from Episode 8 of Double Agents.

Now that Lee and Kam both have their skulls, the duo talks about shifting their target to Theresa. But they want to wait until they’re positive it’s a female elimination day before pulling that trigger.

Lolo realizes she’s not getting thrown into elimination because no one wants her to get her pass to the final. She knows she needs to win a challenge in order to get her opportunity, but things aren’t exactly copacetic between her and her partner, Nam. CT feels he’s in the same boat; no one wants to see that monster in elimination or the final.

CHALLENGE ACTIVATED | In “All Brawl,” competitors search a giant mud pit for an iconic Challenge relic. The winners of each heat will then move on to Phase 2.

In Heat 1, Nany finds the relic first, but Lolo quickly activates her beast mode. After Nany throws the goods away, Kam snatches it and runs in for the win. Lolo then blows a gasket, accusing Aneesa of choking her from behind. If Lolo wants everything to be fair, she showed up to the wrooong game.

In the guys’ first heat, Nam finds the relic, but pretends he’s still looking. He waits for the right moment, and when nobody’s paying attention, he sprints to the finish line. Gabby and CT take Heats 3 and 4.

In Phase 2, it’s CT vs. Nam, and Gabby vs. Kam, only this time, players must grip onto the relic and wrestle it away to defeat their opponent. TJ sounds the horn, and the men go ballistic. Nam takes a bunch of elbows to the face as CT crushes him against the side of the pit, and as expected, Nam’s cooked on this one. Kam then wins for the women.

TJ then announces a sudden death third round where CT and Kam, along with their partners, must fight it out for the whole shebang. The first team to win both rounds will become the next Double Agents. CT is immediately irked; he thinks there’s no way in hell Big T will ever beat Kam and… he’s absolutely right. Kam quickly starts tossing T around like a rag doll and seals the deal. Kyle then beats CT, though CT half-asses the face-off, knowing the cards weren’t in his favor. Regardless, Kyle and Kam become the new Double Agents!

The Challenge Josh MartinezDELIBERATION | The two K’s quickly weigh their options. Kam wants to protect Aneesa, but the cheeky Brit wants to drink the blood of his enemies, naturally. At the house meeting, Mechie and Amber M.’s names are thrown around, as are Aneesa and Fessy’s. It comes time to vote, and when the Double Agents get the results, the Compromised Agents are… not revealed to us! For the first time this season, we only see Kyle and Kam’s reactions, but we don’t see the results yet! Dang.

Oh, and Amber M.’s hunches were right on the money: Her ally Amber B. totally voted her in. Savage.

Since Lolo won’t STFU about what happened at the challenge, Aneesa makes a classy move and apologizes for competing in the damn thing. (I digress, but shouldn’t an Olympian sort of expect the competition to get ruthless? Insert all of the eye rolls here.) Anyhoo, the two squash their beef.

THE CRATER | TJ announces that Amber M. and Mechie are the Compromised Agents, so Kyle and Kam throw Nany and Josh into elimination to give one of them a chance to earn his or her skull. It turns out to be a guy’s night, so Josh and Mechie go head-to-head. (Anyone else praying Mechie takes Josh out? Pretty, pretty please, reality TV gods?) In the elimination, contestants must solve a puzzle, which will then tell them which targets are breakable on their massive board. From there, it’s the same elimination Aneesa and Tori did a few weeks back — pull a container of heavy “bombs” over, and toss the weighted bombs at all of the targets to win.

Josh destroys Mechie on the slide puzzle and quickly collects his bombs, but his throwing skills… those need some work! The entire cast, plus TJ, shares a few laughs at his expense, but Josh eventually gets his act together and knocks Mechie out of the competition for good. He then sticks with Nany as his partner, while Amber M. becomes a Rogue Agent.

Well, shantay Josh stays. Please share all of your thoughts and feelings in the Comments below!

What is it they say about the best laid plans… they destroy your chances of winning reality TV shows? Or are we remembering that wrong?

On Wednesday’s episode of The Challenge, new Double Agents Jay and Theresa set their crosshairs on a major female competitor, and while they did successfully take out their target, they burned a whooole lot of bridges to get there. (Points for accuracy, head shakes for execution.) Here are the highlights of how it all went down.

Having made friends with the new female rookies, Theresa plays both sides of the house. While Aneesa may be in the dark on her friend’s sneaky moves, Nany sees right through it, and based on their complicated history, she doesn’t trust Theresa for a second. Lolo calls out Theresa for throwing her friend Aneesa into elimination last week, and tells her that the entire house sees her shadiness. Theresa keeps cutting the Olympian off, which infuriates Lolo, who advises her to have some conversations and do some damage control.

Meanwhile, Lio discusses how the stress of the house triggers his childhood feelings of living in a group home. He ultimately decides to quit. TJ, who’s notorious for hating quitters, surprisingly says he respects Lio’s decision, because the players’ health is more important than competing. (My, how 2020 has changed us all!) Despite Lio’s reasoning, It’s hard not to be bummed out at the amount of players who’ve been sent home for injuries, quits and the like. Can we have some more actual eliminations please?

CHALLENGE ACTIVATED | In Smuggle Run, duos must carry a heavy capsule on a five-mile race with checkpoints to complete along the way. Since Gabby and Devin are both without partners, they become a new team.

Many of the weaker duos start to struggle early on in this challenge, with Big T more or less proving she will never be able to handle a final.

At the first checkpoint, teams must push the capsule through a hole in a wall and use it to climb over. The next is a math puzzle, and while ex-cheerleader/brainiac Ashley is in her element for both, Theresa and Jay wind up taking the lead and winning the entire challenge! Not bad for a small-statured duo that isn’t even close to being some of the bigger competitors this season.

The Challenge Double Agents TheresaDELIBERATION | Back at the house, Theresa tells Ashley she wants to “f–k some bitches up,” and like clockwork, Ashley’s paranoia takes ahold. But this woman’s a winner for a reason because her hunch is spot-on: Theresa vies for the entire house to vote Ashley into elimination. (Guess she doesn’t want to get her own skull? Odd choice.)

At the house meeting, Ashley defends her spot, telling the guys that if they keep all the weak girls until the end, it could come back to bite them in the final. The house votes, and the Double Agents learn the compromised agents are indeed Ashley and Cory.

THE CRATER | TJ calls Ash and Cory down to the sand, and the two are blindsided. Cory calls everyone snakes, while Ashley says, “Everyone lied straight to our faces, TJ. I don’t know who I can trust anymore in this game.” It comes time for the Double Agents to vote another team down, and they choose Kam and Kyle… whom Theresa and Jay specifically promised they wouldn’t pick. That is some sloppy social game right there, folks!

TJ then throws everyone a curveball. “Tonight is a very important elimination round, especially for the men,” he says, causing everyone to react in shock, before continuing, “… to watch their partners.” Man, even TJ is being shady as hell this week! Something’s in that Icelandic water, I tell you.

In Dead Ringer, Kam and Ashley start on raised podiums. The aim of the game is to swing their way around to land six metal rings on hooks all around them. The horn blows and both women seem to struggle with getting momentum, but Kam figures it out quickly and lands her first two rings. Once Ashley gets her groove going, it’s too little, too late: “Killa Kam” seals the deal, earns her coveted Gold Skull and sends Ashley home for the second time this season.

Theresa calls this whole shebang a plan that was executed, but what she and Jay really did was piss off the entire house. And Jay knows it. In an interview, he already seems to have regret for their stupid, rookie-level move.

Kam then has her pick of all the gents, but decides to stay with her buddy Kyle. Cory remains a Rogue Agent.

Tell us, Challenge fans: How screwed are Jay and Theresa going forward, and were you rooting for Killa Kam or Millionaire Mitchell in the elimination battle? Drop your comments below!

Having been recruited from another highly strategic and mentally tough reality show, one would think that the Big Brother players who have infiltrated The Challenge would be slightly less sloppy. And disappointing.

With the season’s limited amount of Gold Skulls waiting to be doled out, the players are itching to hit the elimination floor and punch their ticket to the final. But on Wednesday’s episode, two members from Team BB shake the house to its core, one by burning bridges and backstabbing his alliance, and the other by exhibiting an absolutely wretched social game. Read on for a recap.

Devin returns to the house feeling almost like a million bucks, telling the camera he likes to keep his friends close, and his enemies closer. And now, his biggest frenemy is his partner, by design. If Devin and Tori can learn to get along, they could become one of the season’s most formidable pairs.

Big T tells us her origin story, which includes losing her little brother and both of her parents at a very young age. She was “gifted” to her aunt, which is what brought her to the UK when she was just 4 years old. But leave it to Devin to segue a heartfelt conversation into absolute chaos. Seconds later, he’s firing shots at Amber M., asking her why she’s there. “She’s a snake,” he says. “I don’t want to hang out with her, I don’t want her around me, I want her to go to bed.”

“I just poured my heart out, and Devin’s having a go at Amber!” says Big T. “Devin is extra AF and I just don’t want to get involved.” He’s a pot-stirrer, that one.

CHALLENGE ACTIVATED | In “Drone Control,” players must navigate a series of lava tunnels with a drone to find a secret code. One player will use a VR headset to give his or her partner directions, while the other teammate will control the flight. A series of numbers must then be decoded and entered into a tablet. The team that gets it done the fastest will become the new Double Agents.

TJ then delivers news that Liv is not medically cleared to continue in the competition, so she’s out, making Mechie the season’s latest Rogue Agent.

The Challenge Devin ToriEvery team but one either times out or crashes their drone, causing TJ to laugh at how badly everyone sucks. “The opposite of good is what you guys are,” he tells one team.

Devin and Tori are the only team to successfully complete the challenge. They celebrate for two seconds, before Devin says: “I still don’t like you,” which is, I guess, on brand for the smug Are You the One? vet.

DELIBERATION | Liv’s DQ leaves everyone with the same question: Is it going to be a guys or a girls elimination?

The Double Agents ween their choices down to Nany and Josh, and Nelson and Amber M. Tori wants to go in if it’s a Hall Brawl, but Devin immediately disagrees. This duo may have won, but they’re still the hottest mess in the game right now.

Tori asks Josh to sway the house toward Amber M., which he agrees to before stepping up to Jay and picking a fight. (I take it back: Josh wins the Forever Hot Mess Express award. Congratulations, Josh!) Josh tells Nany that he’s done with Jay, causing her to call his social game “messy.” Jay wants to have an adult conversation with him — a rarity for reality TV, especially of the MTV variety! — but Josh declines because his social game is utter trash.

When the house meets to deliberate, it seems nothing can save Scuba Nelly T. Nelson and Amber M., and they become the week’s Compromised Agents.

THE CRATER | As we knew from last week’s preview: It’s a Hall Brawl! Tori sees the hall and gets amped. If it’s a girls elimination, she wants in.

The Challenge FessyTJ calls Nelson and Amber M. down to the sand, then asks the Double Agents if they want to step up to the plate. Tori asks TJ for clarification as to who’s about to go in, but the host simply ain’t having it. “As an agent, you have to be ready for everything. You should also expect nothing.” Oookay. Devin promises he’ll get Tori her skull, telling her that “tonight’s not the night.”

Tori and Devin ultimately pass, voting Aneesa and Fessy down instead. TJ then reveals: It’s a guys night. (Editor’s Note: Nelson is about to get OWNED!)

Round 1 begins, and the collision is colossal! Fessy plays dirty as hell. He slams Nelson’s head and (from the looks of it) possibly tries to murder him? Nelson’s face mask flies off, and Fessy gets the point, but barely. Round 2 kicks off with a warning from TJ for Fessy to cut the s–t, but the Big Brother alum ultimately wins the Gold Skull… but loses the respect of a lot of his alliance members. It turns out Fessy asked Tori to throw him down, knowing his good friend was most likely going to be the house vote. Shady. After Nelson’s selfless act on Total Madness, it’s quite sad to see him go so early. He put up one heck of a fight.

Fessy now has a big decision. He can choose a new partner or stick with Aneesa; he winds up stealing his BB20 bestie, Kaycee. Leroy then chooses Aneesa, leaving Mechie to partner up with Amber M.

Thoughts on Fessy’s highly questionable moves? Excited about any of the newly shaken up duos? Drop some comments below!

Only on The Challenge can a dumb argument over frozen food turn into some serious drama.

Wednesday’s episode brought forth one of the most dangerous stunts yet, sending not one but two challengers straight to the hospital. But that wasn’t the only fireworks we’d see in Double Agents‘ third episode.

Stemming from a small spat between CT and Kaycee, Josh and Devin get into it after a simple “Big Brother sucks!” taunt leads to a blown gasket from Josh. (BB19 live feeders, haven’t we suffered enough?) While the drama didn’t turn physical, it did affect the week’s house vote, sending two veteran friends into an elimination that looked just as exhausting as Josh’s childish outburst felt. Let’s break it all down.

Following last week’s shocking team switcheroo, Kyle tells us he feels betrayed by Fessy’s alliance. (Hold up: Kyle, you lied about your vote, dude, but OK, go off.) He now plans on joining up with CT, Wes and Devin, aka the challengers “with their backs against the wall.”

Fessy lets Kyle and some others in on the fact that the “secret vote” isn’t so secret after all. Kyle comes clean about his lie, but then tells Wes that the entire “Stupid Brigade” tried to flip the vote on him. (When did the Young Bucks get a new nickname? Was I sleeping on that?!) Wes is understandably bummed out; he thought the YBs were his friends. A fight erupts, with Kyle calling Fes a p—y a gazillion times, but this heat isn’t Fessy’s only problem. Cory expresses his disappointment that Fessy told a huge secret to the house before telling his own alliance members. It only took three episodes for this season to become deliciously twisted.

CHALLENGE ACTIVATED | In “Road Kill,” two teams face off on top of a semi truck while it’s hauling at 50 mph. Each duo must throw the other team off of the side (into netting, of course), but for the first time in Challenge history, the stunt will be done without harnesses. Here are the highlights:

*Devin/Nicole vs. Kam/Kyle ends in a draw, with a dislocated shoulder for Nicole.
*Wes/Natalie defeat Nany/Josh, even though all four players land in the net.
*Mechie/Liv vs. Tori/Cory ends in another shoulder injury, this time for newbie Liv.
*Big dogs CT and Fessy go head-to-head, but their brawl unfortunately times out.

The Challenge Season 36 LeroyLeroy and Kaycee ultimately end up with the W for their match against Amber M. and Nelson.

Back at the house, the group realizes all of Nicole’s things are gone; she’s been sent home due to her injury, leaving Devin a lone soldier. Liv, however, returns, but awaits a radiology report.

And this is when what might be the dumbest fight in Challenge history takes place. Clearly the editors agree because Whitney Houston’s “So Emotional” drops as Josh rants and raves like a — wait for it — meatball! Moving on!

DELIBERATION | Devin’s on the defense thanks to all the drama, but Wes tells him he wants Tori and Cory nominated. At the house meeting, the group has no idea if it’s a guy’s or girl’s elimination day because Nicole’s DQ may have shaken up the schedule. Devin’s the first to fire a shot, telling the group he’s gunning for Tori and Cory, which causes Josh to speak up against Devin. The house votes, and when Leroy and Kaycee get the results, Devin is, indeed, the compromised agent.

THE CRATER | Leroy and Kaycee make a big move with their big decision, choosing two-time champ Wes to face off against his friend. In “Snapping Point,” the opponents are tethered together by a rope. They must race through a set of posts and detonate their station at the end of the course. Wes starts digging a hole in the sand to serve as an anchor for his weight. It’s a stalemate for a while, with both players struggling to pull the other back. Devin then not only takes the lead, but seals the deal. He wins the match and the gold skull, sending Wes on his way.

Devin’s now qualified to run the final, but he’s gotta pick a new partner first. He chooses Tori (over Natalie? Really!?) leaving the Survivor winner for Cory. “Getting a gold skull probably does put a target on my back, but guess what? I’ve had a target on my back this entire game… Now, I have a gold skull in the center of that target. Now watch me go to work,” says Devin.

Game on.

Who were you rooting for in that elimination, and did Devin make the right choice for his partner? Drop your thoughts in the Comments!

The Challenge Reunion Recap: Which Relationships Survived the Madness? https://briefnews.eu/the-challenge-reunion-recap-which-relationships-survived-the-madness/ https://briefnews.eu/the-challenge-reunion-recap-which-relationships-survived-the-madness/#respond Thu, 23 Jul 2020 02:28:32 +0000 https://briefnews.eu/the-challenge-reunion-recap-which-relationships-survived-the-madness/

This season on The Challenge, an unexpected new bromance blossomed, but not every relationship made it out alive. Though the champions had already been crowned, the Total Madness cast still had plenty of tea to spill in the series’ first-ever virtual reunion, giving us the real scoop on what happens when friends stop being polite and start getting real.

Hosted by former NFL star Vernon Davis, the reunion kicked off with Bananas and Jenny reflecting on how it feels to be a champ. “Over the past few seasons, doubt really started to creep into my head,” said Bananas. “I started questioning whether or not I would ever see a final, let alone win one.” Though Jenny remained humble about coming out on top and only having one career win thus far, the cast reassured her that she’s a champ for life.

Here’s some of the dirt from Wednesday’s Zoom-tastic 90-minute special:

* Melissa confirmed what Twitter and Reddit uncovered long ago: She was four months pregnant while running the final. Kyle joked that he changed his name and moved to another country, due to rumors that he and Melissa had hooked up; those rumors, he says, are totally false. (Cue the footage of these two getting super friendly.) Melissa did note that Kyle tried to get with her the first night they met, but he was rejected. Can’t blame a guy for trying!

*While Nany admitted to crushing hard on Kaycee, Kaycee was adamant that the two never kissed. (She did cop to “friendly flirting,” though.) Nany was peeved that Aneesa didn’t check in with her that drunken night and instead approached Kaycee about the situation. Aneesa defended herself by saying that Kaycee was the one in a relationship back home with something to lose. (Nany, as we know, called Aneesa a “ho,” in addition to a “corny, old ass b–h.”) “I did not deserve what you said to me,” said Aneesa. “I’ve never said that to anyone who I would call a friend… I would never put my hands on somebody I cared about like that.” And in pure Challenge-reunion fashion, Nany de-mic’ed and walked away from her laptop. (It’s not a proper reunion unless someone makes a completely unnecessary and dramatic exit. Kudos, Nan’.)

*Bayleigh shared with the class that she and Kaycee had a flirtmance in the Big Brother house, but when it came down to her former friend voting against her: “It sucked for me.” Kaycee said she heard Bayleigh was throwing her name under the bus during an interrogation, which prompted Bayleigh to say that Kaycee should’ve called her out, as a friend. As for their friendship? They haven’t spoken since and are completely dunzo.

*The cast reflected on the Bananas/Wes alliance, which some, but not all, knew about. Wes said he doesn’t regret throwing himself into elimination against his new pal and alliance member. Based on the information he had at the time, he was worried about getting eliminated for not earning his red skull. Looks like these are two peas in a pod, who could potentially work together again in the future.

*When Ashley took the hot seat, Bananas said that at least with his game, people know where he’s coming from. But Ashley is a “snake” who tries to scheme and never owns up to what she’s doing. Ashley defended herself, saying that her socializing (which had been called out for being strategic) is for her own mental well-being. Despite not being besties, the back-and-forth banter was all in good fun between these two.

*CT doesn’t regret going head-to-head against rookie Jay, despite taking a shocking loss. “I was lucky enough to get a shot at a red skull… that’s all I can ask for. I blew it. Can’t take anything away from Jay. He wanted it more, and he beat me fair and square,” the vet said.

*When asked about her fling with Bear, Kailah said, “The bunker was really boring, and Bear being there kept me really entertained.” Davis then asked her if being bored was a reason to cheat (shots fired!), to which she replied, “I was unhappy in the situation I was in back home. I did a lot of reflecting in the house, Bear was being persistent… in my head, it was a way out.”

*Zach refused to speak on what he found in Jenna’s DMs that set him off, and he doesn’t regret how he handled the situation. (Unimpressed Viola Davis GIF here.) The two still plan on getting married next year.

Andy Samberg: Brooklyn Nine-Nine Faces Big ‘Challenge’ Moving Forward https://briefnews.eu/andy-samberg-brooklyn-nine-nine-faces-big-challenge-moving-forward/ https://briefnews.eu/andy-samberg-brooklyn-nine-nine-faces-big-challenge-moving-forward/#respond Tue, 07 Jul 2020 13:11:17 +0000 https://briefnews.eu/andy-samberg-brooklyn-nine-nine-faces-big-challenge-moving-forward/

Andy Samberg says Brooklyn Nine-Nine is “taking a step back” in the wake of George Floyd’s death and the global protests against police brutality that followed.

“The writers are all rethinking how we’re going to move forward,” the NBC comedy’s leading man and EP tells People, adding that the cast and producers are “all in touch and kind of discussing how you make a comedy show about police right now, and if we can find a way of doing that that we all feel morally okay about? I know that we’ll figure it out, but it’s definitely a challenge.”

Samberg’s comments come two weeks after B99 co-star Terry Crews revealed that the first four scripts for B99 Season 8 have been scrapped. “Our showrunner Dan Goor, they had four episodes all ready to go, and they just threw them in the trash,” he said. “We have to start over. Right now, we don’t know which direction it’s going to go in.

“We’ve had a lot of somber talks about it and deep conversations, and we hope through this, we’re going to make something that will be truly groundbreaking this year,” Crews added. “We have an opportunity, and we plan to use it in the best way possible.”

Earlier this month, the B99 cast and Goor made a $ 100,000 donation to the National Bail Fund Network and stated that they “condemn the murder of George Floyd and support the many people who are protesting police brutality nationwide.”

MTV has “severed ties” with The Challenge star Dee Nguyen over a pair of since-deleted tweets in which she made light of the Black Lives Matter movement and the death of George Floyd.

Nguyen on Saturday tweeted, “Idk why some of u think I’m anti BLM. I’ve been saying that since the day I lost my virginity.” She also commented on an Instagram post about Floyd, writing that “people die every f–king day,” according to Us Weekly.

In response to these posts, MTV on Monday took to social media with an announcement of its own: “As a result of Dee Nguyen’s offensive comments on the Black Lives Matter movement, we have severed ties with her,” the MTV reality competition series announced via Twitter on Monday, June 8. “Out of respect for our Challengers, we’ll air our season as planned. We strongly condemn systemic racism and stand with those raising their voices against injustice.”

Nguyen reacted to her firing Tuesday morning on Instagram: “The last 24hrs have made me realised what is important and that is forgiveness. I would like to offer my sincerest apology to my colleagues to whom I have hurt directly and indirectly due to my insensitive remarks. Let me be clear I am a POC that cares about BLM. I believe in this movement and I’m stepping away from social media to focus on my wellbeing and mental health. This is not a goodbye, it’s a I will see you again.”

First introduced to TV audiences via the British reality hit Geordie Shore, Nguyen joined The Challenge franchise in 2019, competing in War of the Worlds and War of the Worlds 2.

Death in Paradise: ‘I’ve got four months’ Ralf Little speaks out on new challenge https://briefnews.eu/death-in-paradise-ive-got-four-months-ralf-little-speaks-out-on-new-challenge/ https://briefnews.eu/death-in-paradise-ive-got-four-months-ralf-little-speaks-out-on-new-challenge/#respond Thu, 05 Mar 2020 15:34:59 +0000 https://briefnews.eu/death-in-paradise-ive-got-four-months-ralf-little-speaks-out-on-new-challenge/

Ralf Little who plays DI Neville Parker joined the cast of Death in Paradise just a few weeks ago when he was called in to replace DI Jack Mooney (Ardal O’Hanlon), but DI Neville didn’t take to the island as easily as he thought he might. He was told he wasn’t allowed to leave the island but last week he was given the all-clear worrying fans he would be leaving the show for good.

Since DI Jack Mooney left, DI Neville has failed to get his head around how the island of Saint Marie works.

He is just a couple of weeks into his new role on the island but he has already had his hands full.

DI Neville was told his boss wanted him to see through the case leaving the newcomer with no choice but to stay put.

In last week’s finale, following weeks of complaining, the lead detective was given the all-clear to go home.

Joining his team at a party to celebrate Officer JP Hooper’s (Tobi Bakare) achievement in becoming a Sergeant, Neville asked if he could stay.

Last week, viewers saw Neville explain to the team: “I’m fed up of living life the way I have to, instead of the way I want to.

“What I’m saying is I’d love to be your DI permanently if you’ll have me.”

Ralf has now revealed what he has been doing to prepare for future series as DI Neville.

He said: “There may be a scene that they write where it’s like, ‘Oh Neville’s having a shower’, and then he sees Harry and he runs out of the shower.

“What I want to happen on the day of shooting, when they go, ‘Okay, can you…?’ I’ll just take my T-shirt off and they’ll go, ‘Wait a second. Why are you ripped?’

“Neville is not meant to be ripped but I’m going to give them no choice.

“I’ve never bothered to be motivated before so I’m going to be like, ‘Right, just in case’.”

Ralf spoke to Express.co.uk before he started the BBC show, and when asked if he saw Death in Paradise continuing he said: “I certainly hope so unless I kill it off!

“If I’m terrible. I could be for Death in Paradise was George Clooney was for Batman.

“You’d need Christian Bale to come into Death in Paradise and resurrect it!

“Its appeal is hard to quantify. People talk a lot about the escapism of it, which is definitely a thing because of the time of year and it’s just beautiful, gorgeous.”

Death in Paradise continues on BBC One tonight at 9pm.

Ant said to Anthony: “Now, we put you through your paces in the gym, didn’t we?”

The heavyweight champ replied: “Something like that,” to which Dec interrupted: “Here’s what happened when Anthony Joshua here was looking to hire a new personal chef.

“But he didn’t really need a chef because we were already cooking up a very tasty, I’m A Celebrity…” he continued, with his co-host then joining in to complete the title of the segment.

Ant committed the blunder by saying “Get Me Out Of Here!”, his other half was correct with “Get Out My Ear” and looked at his fellow presenter in disbelief at the error.

Saturday Night Takeaway continues on ITV next Saturday at 7pm.
