Nintendo has released a new Switch bundle that pairs the popular game console with a $ 35 credit to its eShop digital store. The company announced the bundle last week, but the deal has now become available at various retailers, including Walmart (which lists it as being up for pre-order as of this writing), Amazon, GameStop, and Best Buy.

The bundle retails for $ 299.99, the Switch’s standard going rate, with the $ 35 credit available in the form of a download code packed with the console. Nintendo says the credit can be put toward any purchase in the eShop. The company has not provided a specific time frame for the new promotion, only saying that the bundle will be available while supplies last.

This isn’t the absolute best deal we’ve seen for the Switch—a handful of coupon codes and one-off promotions have dropped it as low as $ 225 in the past year. But those deals have typically been brief, and getting what effectively amounts to a $ 35 discount is still a pleasant bonus for those who have been interested in picking up the console. For reference, Nintendo’s primary Switch deal for Black Friday was simply bundling Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with the device.

Greetings, Arsians! Courtesy of our friends at TechBargains, we have another round of deals to share. Today’s list is headlined by a suite of bundle deals for Red Dead Redemption II, which comes out Friday for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Reviews for the hotly anticipated game hit the Web today, and the feedback has been near-universally positive. That doesn’t mean the game is flawless, which is to be expected in something so story-heavy. Our own review notes that bits of RDR II‘s script can occasionally lack conviction, for instance, but ultimately deems it a gorgeous “technical marvel” that’s worth buying.

In any event, if you plan on buying RDR II and want to enjoy that massive virtual world in 4K, there are a handful of bundles that pair the game with a new PS4 Pro or Xbox One X. One Amazon bundle pairs the game with Sony’s high-end console—which doesn’t quite reach “true 4K” but gets closer than the standard PS4—for no extra cost; GameStop has a bundle that includes a special-edition Xbox One X and the upcoming Fallout 76; while Walmart has a separate Xbox One X bundle that also includes NBA 2K19, a spare controller, and a small gift card.

If you plan on dressing up as Dante for Halloween, this is the jacket to get. Camcom has announced a new Devil May Cry 5 “Ultra Limited Edition” bundle via its E-Capcom website. The bundle includes a copy of the game — either for Xbox One or PS4 — interchangeable box art, and a life-sized leather replica of Dante’s jacket.

There are three options to choose from. The Jacket for character V is the cheapest, at 600,000 yen, or $ 5,317, with Nero’s jacket coming in at 750,000 yen, or $ 6,646, and finally with Dante’s jacket landing at a whopping 900,000 yen, or $ 7,975. All jackets have incredible attention to detail, with little nicks and signs of abrasion throughout. Nero’s jacket can also come with a damaged sleeve if you so desire. And if you’re not inclined to spend in the four-figure range, there’s also the “Classic Work Shirt” bundle which can be had for 11,852 yen, or $ 105.

This is not the first time Capcom has gone all out with a bundle. In 2012, for the release of Resident Evil 6, the publisher released a similar bundle featuring Leon Kennedy’s jacket. This bundle has not been announced for the US or international markets, but pre-orders are live. To place an order, you’ll have to follow the link on the website and email E-Capcom to confirm. Just don’t wear it outside of a video game convention (or Halloween), as it will never make you look cool.

While rumors indicate Apple has bigger plans for its subscription bundle than just news, it has to start somewhere. In order to get that rolling, Recode reports it has opened discussions with the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Washington Post about signing on with its recently-purchased “Netflix of magazines” app, Texture. All three have business models offering subscriptions to their news as premium pay content so it’s obvious why Apple would want to include them, but less clear about whether they’re inclined to join.

According to Recode, Texture pays out to publishers based on how much its customers use a particular title, while the subscriptions each paper has bring money in regardless of whether a customer reads any or all of their content. Apple may have relationships with publishers via their apps and selling subscriptions in its Apple News outlet, but figuring out a way to get content aligned with a new business model could be the first hurdle to becoming an even bigger player in all forms of media.

Battle Royale developer Epic Games is getting ready to release a new Starter Pack.

After an earlier leak on the PlayStation Store, the Fortnite Battle Royale Starter Pack is set for an official launch on March 26.

The Battle Royale add-on is being advertised for $ 4.99, and contains 600 V-Bucks, the Rogue Agent Outfit and the Catalyst Back Bling.

The only catch is that the Fortnite Battle Royale Starter Pack will only be available for a limited time. The bundle will be removed from sale on April 1.

“V-Bucks are an in-game currency that can be spent in both the Battle Royale PvP mode and the Save the World PvE campaign,” reads the official description.

“In Battle Royale you can purchase new customisation items for your Hero, glider, or pickaxe. In Save the World you can purchase Llama Piñata card packs that contain weapon, trap and gadget schematics as well as new Heroes and more!”

Battle Royale fans can also use V-Bucks to purchase the Battle Pass.

The Battle Pass gives players a chance to earn exclusive rewards by levelling up and completing challenges.

Epic Games releases a new set of seven in-game challenges each week.

Completing four of the challenges nets players a whopping 4,000 XP, not to mention a ton of Battle Stars.

The challenges are separated into hard and regular tiers of difficulty. The hard difficulty Fortnite challenges are worth ten Battle Stars, while the regular tasks will reward fans with five Battle Stars.

This week’s challenges have players searching for treasure, visiting gas stations and dealing damage with the pickaxe.

Google has released a new three-pack for its Google Wi-Fi mesh router system.

The Californian search company has unveiled the new bundle almost one year since the mesh router solution first launched in the UK.

The Wi-Fi three-pack will be available to buy from today, March 13th 2018, for £329.

Single units are also available for £129 each.

BT Whole Home Wi-Fi, which uses similar technology to extend your wireless home broadband, has always been available to buy in three-pack bundles, albeit with a cheaper price tag of £189 .

Unlike the router shipped by your broadband provider when you sign-up to a new monthly contract, which typically struggles to penetrate walls and floors to spread throughout your home, Google Wi-Fi uses a technology called Wi-Fi mesh to cover the entire property.

Google Wi-Fi owners need only to plug one into the modem supplied by your Internet Service Provider, ISP, and connect additional units in other rooms where they spread the signal.

Mesh networks are something that, until recently, was only really used in large commercial installations.

Google uses intelligent software built into its Wi-Fi system to work out which Google Wi-Fi hub is best placed to drive a high-speed connection to your device as you move around the house.

Google Wi-Fi lets users add both wireless and wired points to your mesh network, depending on which works best for you.

The companion smartphone app constantly monitors your network, checking on the download and upload speeds, which is all presented in a clean and simple user interface.

Network speed checks are probably not something you’re doing on a daily basis – but when the process is automated, it quickly highlights whether you’re getting the download and upload speeds your Internet Service Provider, or ISP, has promised.

Elsewhere, Google Wi-Fi lets you prioritise individual devices on the network.

For example, if you’re trying to stream a film at peak times, you can prioritise your set-top box for the duration of the movie and ensure it gets the maximum possible bandwidth.

That means you won’t be stuck watching spinning loading circles because your flatmate decides to play online multiplayer on the PS4.

Within the iOS and Android app you can also check on how much data each your devices is using at any one time, as well as pause Wi-Fi on your childrens’ devices at any give time – namely, bedtime.

Google Wi-Fi can also temporarily create a separate guest network – with a separate password – which can also be restricted to specific devices, like a Chromecast.

That means the next time you host a house party – the entire guest list won’t leave with permanent access to your home Wi-Fi network.

BT Whole Home Wi-Fi boasts a number of these features, following a software update earlier this year.

Speaking at the time, BT Wi-Fi, Devices and BT Shop Director Erik Raphael said: “These updates make life easier for our customers.

“Being able to control Wi-Fi access at mealtimes and bedtimes is great for family life and even your friend can benefit from a separate guest network that’s easy to access.”
