An annual tradition celebrating “the best of Smallville” turned into a festival of frights on Superman & Lois‘ spring finale, which ended with another jaw-dropping detail about Captain Luthor’s backstory. The super-couple’s troubles began when Sharon Powell’s son Derek mysteriously returned home, conveniently unaware of any voicemail he supposedly sent to his mother. Lois and Chrissy could tell that something wasn’t adding up about his story, but Sharon insisted that there was nothing further to investigate… which is literally the worst way to get a journalist off your tail. So when a fire suddenly broke out at the community center (spoiler alert: Derek lost control of his newly acquired laser vision!), The Smallville Gazette‘s best/only reporting team sprang into action. But while she was busy keeping tabs on Morgan Edge’s newest X-Kryptonite soldier, Lois was unaware that another interested party was hot on her trail — Captain Luthor! (I know he’s the “bad guy” or whatever, but I was honestly just glad to see him back.) Posing as a LuthorCorp employee-turned-Reuters technology reporter, he approached Lois with an offer to throw more dirt on her Morgan Edge pile, one she met with her usual mix of intrigue and suspicion. Meanwhile, Chrissy caught Derek doing business (and I do mean biz-nass) with Leslie Larr outside of a shady Edge-owned facility. Following her personal mantra (WWLD, aka “What Would Lois Do?”), Chrissy followed them into the building just in time to see her put him into a mystery machine — and not the fun Scooby-Doo kind. That’s when Superman finally RSVP’d to the party, chasing a re-energized Derek over various cornfields until they were both shot out of the sky by Captain Luthor. “He resurrected me, Kal-El!” Derek told Supes. “You’re not alone anymore!” But before he had a chance to tell Clark what that meant, Derek announced, “I’m already dead!” and then blew up. (RIP!) By the time Captain Luthor caught up to the wreckage, his target had flown the coop. As always, this week’s episode also gave us a healthy dose of teen drama, from Jordan and Sarah going on their first (and last?) date to Jonathan getting dumped (over the phone, no less!) by Eliza. In his grief, Jonathan transformed into a drunken tornado of misery, first by telling his dad that he wants to move back to Metropolis (“This town is my Kryptonite!”), then by crashing Jordan’s date and harassing Sarah. She wasn’t thrilled that Jordan immediately took his brother’s side over hers, but she agreed to still be his friend — so there’s a silver lining for ya. Clark’s conflict with Jonathan inspired flashbacks to his own final days in Smallville, when he apparently had similar clashes with his mother. (“I wasn’t sent here to be Martha Kent’s son!” he once said when she tried to keep him from taking to the streets as a masked vigilante.) Clark admitted that he regrets leaving home the way he did, so he offered Jonathan a one-time-only “get out of jail free” card in exchange for his son agreeing to give Smallville another chance. But before we had time to fully process Clark’s questionable parenting, we learned another twisted truth about Captain Luthor. When his computer reminded him that the Lois of this world is nothing like the Lois of his own, he angrily replied, “Everything about her is the same. Everything except that she married someone else!” That’s right, C.L. and L.L. are man and wife in his world. Jaw, meet floor. Honestly, I’m still so focused on that Lane-Luthor reveal, I have no bandwidth to worry about Tag attacking Jordan in the woods in the episode’s final moments. He’ll be fine. Monday’s episode of The Good Doctor marked a major milestone for Shaun and Lea — one that promises to radically alter the trajectory of their relationship. At the start of the hour, Lea’s car was seized by a sleazy tow truck operator named Tricky, who refused to cut her any slack for having her vintage automobile parked in someone else’s spot. St. Bonaventure’s heroic head of IT insisted the spot belonged to her, but Shaun refused to lie on his girlfriend’s behalf. Later that day, Lea skipped lunch to gather dirt on Tricky. In her office, she explained to Shaun why she was so upset. “I turned to my boyfriend for support and he hung me out to dry,” she said. “This isn’t about honesty — this is about having my back. We’re a team now, working together for a common goal. Right now, our goal is to get my car back.” Shaun eventually handed his phone over to Lea so she could create dozens of phony Yelp accounts and draft enough bad reviews to drive Tricky’s Towing out of business, should it come to that. The following night, she and Shaun confronted Tricky at the impound lot, where Lea threatened to publish each and every one of her anonymous complaints. But before things went any further, Shaun agreed to pay whatever it cost to get the car back — or so it seemed. He dropped his backpack and followed Tricky into his office, leaving Lea the keys to her cherry-red ride so she could sneak off and retrieve it before Tricky noticed. Once she got a move on, Shaun hightailed it out of the office and ran towards the moving vehicle, hopping in before Tricky had a chance to catch up to him. Back at home, Shaun revealed to Lea that he had in fact left $ 250 on Tricky’s desk — the minimum payment required to make sure Tricky wouldn’t retaliate. He told her that she had been a bit “crazy” the last two days, and he needed to help her distinguish right from wrong. That’s when Lea came forward and acknowledged the reason for her erratic behavior. “I have been a bit crazy, but it wasn’t about the car,” she said. “Two days ago, I found out— Shaun, I’m pregnant.” The big reveal was met with total silence by Shaun, whose facial expression was a bit hard to decipher. He was clearly at a loss for words, but he also looked… kinda happy? He certainly didn’t look upset. Elsewhere in the episode… * Glassman returned to operating room to perform a life-altering procedure on Jeffrey Williams (Firefly Lane‘s Michael Taylor), a 21-year-old with ankylosing spondylitis. Glassman needed two residents to assist him and Andrews — but first, the residents’ skills were put to the test. Claire secured the first slot, followed by Asher, who beat out fellow first years Jordan and Enrique, as well as (oof) Park. * Oh, and not that we needed any more proof, but Claire can sang. Her rendition of The Highwomen’s “Crowded Table” was just sublime, and the perfect soundtrack to that life-changing moment for Lea and Shaun. Plus, Amenadiel is arguably even stronger than Lucifer, so fans shouldn’t expect a potential scuffle between the two to last very long. Even so, the troubled detective may have some harsh words for Lucifer’s brother, and even their demonic friend Mazikeen (Lesley-Ann Brandt), when he realises how much he’s been misled about his life with Charlotte. As the series gears up for its sixth and final season, Dan will undoubtedly learn more about the truth of the universe, especially now God (Dennis Haysbert) has arrived in town, so fans will just have to tune in to see how he reacts. Lucifer Season 5, Part 1 is available to stream on Netflix. Strictly Come Dancing has become a British institution and something fans of the BBC dance show look forward to each and every Autumn. Craig Revel Horwood, 55, is just one of the judges of the panel, critiquing a whole plethora of celebrity talent from all corners of the star-studded world. With the coronavirus crisis bringing the world to a halt in recent months, bosses were working hard to try and come up with a way the programme could still go ahead, whilst adhering to social distancing rules. However, with the rumour mill still in overdrive whether production has been given the green light, the Australian theatre star has now confirmed the news viewers have been waiting for. Production on some of Britain’s most beloved television shows are just starting to get up and running again after the government gave the green light for filming to resume. The Saturday night entertainment programme is not set to air until at least September, meaning there is still some time before viewers get to see celebrities don flamboyant clothes and strut their stuff on the dance floor. With this in mind and appearing on today’s edition of Loose Women, Craig explained the annual extravaganza is still going ahead. Though the format may be slightly different from what viewers are used to as stars of the show will be adhering to social distancing measures. Craig told the ITV panel show presenters: “I’m looking forward to the show because it’s going to be a completely different creative look at it. “I think when you’re pushed into corners, like having two-metre rules and all of that, I think it will make some wonderful TV. “So, it’s going to be interesting and it’s going to be fantastic and I’m super excited because it’s going ahead, finally,” he added. The judge also mentioned the 2020 season could see the show’s first same-sex couple after reports emerged this too could be scrapped this year. It seems bosses have fought back against the programme being axed altogether, which has been at the centre of much debate since the coronavirus crisis hit back in March. Craig and his fellow judges, Shirley Ballas, 59, and Motsi Mabuse, 39, have all been voicing their hopes the programme would return in some format for the past three months. At the moment, it is unknown whether Bruno Tonioli, 64, will be joining the panel, due to his commitments to Dancing With The Stars in America. Until the new season gets underway, there is still a treat for viewers as three special episodes have been commissioned. DON’T MISS… Filmed during the lockdown, hosts Tess Daly, 51, and Claudia Winkleman, 48, will be taking a look back through the archives to relive some of the show’s most memorable moments. Controller of BBC Entertainment, Kate Phillips said: “Strictly Come Dancing has produced so many magical and memorable moments in the movie, musical and Blackpool weeks. “The three special episodes will look back and celebrate these, bringing some much needed Strictly sparkle to the nation.” There is no official word on when the episodes will air, but the rumour mill is still rife as to who could be joining this year’s all-star cast. One such television veteran punters seem to have their eyes on signing up is This Morning star Eamonn Holmes, 60, whose wife Ruth Langsford, 60, took part in 2017. Coral bookmakers have the presenter at 2-1 to be unveiled as a member of this year’s cast list, with his chances having previously been at 3-1. Although, his odds of winning are quite scarce, as he stands at 33-1 to walk away with the Glitterball Trophy. “Eamonn’s wife Ruth took part in Strictly in 2017 and we think he could follow in her footsteps later this year,” Coral spokesperson John Hill said. Strictly Come Dancing returns later this year on BBC One.

We knew they were coming. The closer we got to the Season 4 finale of Insecure, the more clearly we could see not only those turning points fast approaching but also the exclamation points with which they were followed. So, when all was said and done, did Issa wind up with rekindled old flame Lawrence… or did she decide to give it another go with her other ex, Nathan? Or was the whole sexy conundrum left unresolved? And did Molly convince Andrew to stick a fork in their relationship? Read on, and we’ll go over all the momentous twists and turns of “Lowkey Lost.”
‘WHAT MAKES A FLOWER A FUNERAL FLOWER VS. A FUN FLOWER?’ | As the season-ender began, Lawrence told Issa that he’d gotten the job in San Francisco — he’d get his own team, a corner office, an assistant, the works. “So,” he asked, “what’s the deal? Is the distance a deal-breaker?” Hell, no, replied Issa. In fact, if things stayed cool between them, she might even move. “I can make new friends. S—t, I might need to.” She just wanted things in her life that made her happy — and he did that. Miraculously, they were 100 percent on the same page. Meanwhile, at a work event of Molly’s, Andrew amused them both by picking Taurean out of the crowd. When she introduced him to young, hot BJ, tensions rose noticeably; Andrew clearly wasn’t down with going out with the gang and BJ after the party yet agreed to. Later, he got miffed when his girlfriend wouldn’t let him watch the Looking for LaToya reunion without her. In no time, they were in an argument about how he had to bend over backwards for her, whereas she never bent over at all for him, backwards or otherwise. In the middle of their spat, Kelli kept calling — Tiffany had told Derek that she had to get out of the house… and had never come back.
‘REAL TALK: MY INNER BLACK WOMAN LOOKS JUST LIKE YOU’ | At Nathan’s barber shop, he showed Issa an adjacent room in which he thought she could hold a future event. While the two of them were in there, he apologized for calling Lawrence “sometimes” and admitted that hearing that they’d reunited had messed with him more than he’d expected. That said, he wanted to be honest about how he felt. Which was… ? Nope, he didn’t make the confession of love that I was expecting (and that the promos had led me to expect). It was just that he’d been bummed to have missed his chance with Issa. By and by, she and Molly joined Derek and Kelli searching for Tiffany, whose margarita intake at a movie theater tipped them off to her next destination. Security footage from a nearby Mexican restaurant revealed that the new mom had gotten on a bus about 15 minutes before she’d last phoned her husband. “I knew she wasn’t happy,” he admitted, “but I thought maybe time would help. I just didn’t think it would get this bad. I can’t believe I let this happen.” Finally, Kelli discovered that Tiffany was at a nearby Sheraton and made the mistake of pushing the bus driver’s door-opening red button. Quicker than you could say, “Oh, hell no,” the police were involved. Thankfully, Molly lawyered up fast enough to defuse the situation before Kelli got tased. Again.
‘WHAT ARE YOU FIGHTING FOR RIGHT NOW?’ | At the hotel, Derek and Tiffany reunited. “I’m sorry,” she whispered. “I just didn’t know what else to do.” Aw. It takes a lot to make me feel for Tiff, but that did it. The morning after, Andrew told Molly that they just weren’t in sync and asked, “What if we’re just not a good match? I don’t think [a relationship] should be this hard.” Molly didn’t want to let it go… but what was “it,” really? Was what they had what she really wanted? She didn’t have an answer to that, which was kind of an answer unto itself. At Issa’s, Lawrence dropped a bombshell: Condola had come over the previous night: She was pregnant. In a flashback, Lawrence asked if she was sure that the baby was his; it was. It happened before he’d reunited with Issa, before he’d gotten the job in San Francisco, before all of that. “Is she gonna keep it?” Issa asked. Yes. Condola wanted kids, even if she wasn’t with the father. Lawrence went on to explain to Issa that he wasn’t getting back together with the mom-to-be, but… sigh. “This is too much,” said Issa. It was certainly a lot.
As the episode, and the season, drew to a close, Issa joined Molly for dinner at the restaurant at which they’d almost crossed paths during their estrangement. “I’m glad you came,” said Molly. “I’m glad you called,” Issa replied. Us, too. So, what did you think of the Season 4 finale? Did you predict Condola’s pregnancy? Grade the episode in the poll below, then hit the comments.

As the lockdown continues, comedy star Mayim Bialik sat down for a Zoom chat about her on-set experience with Metro.co.uk.
In addition to divulging everything there is to know about her emotional bond with her co-star Jim Parsons, she first revealed a surprising secret about her time on the show.
Mayim confirmed: “I’ve never seen most of the episodes. I don’t watch myself on television. I’ve never sat and watched an episode of our show, ever.”
With 12 seasons and almost 300 episodes, catching up with the long-running sitcom is certainly a daunting task, though the series has remained an enduring sitcom staple as viewers turn to the show on Netflix during the lockdown.

“Yes seriously,” Piers said, going to add: “In 15 years I can count on three fingers the amount of proper arguments. I just can’t be bothered.
“Once that doors shut, give me a glass of wine, I’m easily pleased, and also I’m always right, she’s just accepted that. I don’t want all that frenzy.”
Similarly, Ruth and Eamonn have disagreements on air, but it is always light-hearted as they bounce off one another.
The This Morning duo have been husband and wife for 10 years after tying the not back in 2010 and have one son together, Jack Holmes.

Alex then paid thanks to The One Show audience and the crew for her welcome.
She continued: “I’m lucky to come back to a show that I love,
“And thank you for all your messages, it’s really lovely to hear from everybody whilst I’ve been off.”
Alex will retain her spot on the sofa for the foreseeable future while other regular co-host Matt Baker has decided to step down later this year.
