The 30-year-old, who is nicknamed “The Notorious,” had been charged with multiple counts of assault and criminal mischief after attacking a bus filled with Ultimate Fighting Championship contenders at the Barclays Centre in April.

The frenzied attack injured two athletes.

McGregor pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of disorderly conduct in a fleeting court appearance, and was handed a punishment of five days’ community service and an anger management program. All felony counts were dropped.

But he was served with “orders of protection,” to stay away from three people.

McGregor stood before the judge, looking sombre in a dark suit and striped tie, for the brief appearance.

“I just want to say I’m thankful to the DA (district attorney) and the judge for allowing me to move forward,” a visibly relieved McGregor told reporters outside the court.

“I want to say to my friends, my family, my fans — thank you for the support.”

“Now it’s about getting back to business,” said his manager, Audie Attar.

He had faced up to seven years in prison if convicted on all counts, and was released on $ US50,000 ($ A67,000) bail following his arrest.

Last month, following an earlier court appearance, McGregor expressed “regret” over the attack on the bus of rival fighters.

The Irishman pocketed around $ US100 million ($ A135,000) for the superfight he lost in August in Las Vegas against ex-welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather.

Their matchup was one of the richest boxing bouts of all time. McGregor is ranked fourth on the Forbes list of the world’s highest-paid athletes, with an estimated wealth of $ US99 million ($ A133 million), behind Mayweather in at number one, and soccer sensations Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

He was filmed lobbing a trolley through a window of the bus in a New York stadium at the end of a media event on April 5. The bus was moving slowly through the Barclays Centre loading dock at the time.

The father-of-one was also captured on surveillance cameras throwing a chair toward a passenger window of the bus.

The Department of Homeland Security published a “Myth vs. Fact” document in an attempt to cool the political firestorm around its family separation policy — but it deliberately avoided mentioning its new zero-tolerance policy that is behind the scandal.

The supposed fact check, published on the DHS website on Monday, attempts to debunk 13 “myths” about ongoing family separations at the US border. Its efforts to do so are dubious, however.

A viral video has captured a traffic warden on a busy road directing traffic.

Filmed on his vehicle dash cam, he uses lights to direct traffic around his car as it appears to be parked in the middle lane.

Most of the cars manage to avoid him, as the lane is empty.

He stops and looks into the distance only to run at full speed out of shot.

What happens next could have had a fateful outcome for the poor man.

As he runs away, a lorry can be seen speeding towards the car.

They appear to have ignored the cones and flashing lights and hurtle towards the man.

At the last minute, the driver notices and sharply turns to the left.

The vehicle somehow comes to a top, missing both the man and the car.

No-one appears to have been hurt, thankfully.

The Imgur video has had over 450,000 views with many online users shocked at the video.

One noticed his hilarious actions whilst running: “Better take off my hat so I can run faster.”

Others praised the lorry drivers actions.

Another remarked: “Say what you will, that’s an impressive stop.”

Of course, one noted: “I think paying attention to the road and seeing the cop more than 20 metres out would probably be more impressive.”

Another lorry had a different kind of accident when driving with a full load.

Captured in the US, the vehicle is driving towards a low bridge on a highway.

What they haven’t realised is that the trailer on the back is still up.

As they go under the bridge, the roof is dramatically ripped off and the contents spill out over the road.

Whilst no-one was injured, an investigation has been launched to establish the cause of the incident.

A viral video has emerged in China showing an accident between a bus and a falling object.

The CCTV camera shows a moving bus driving down a road on 5 March.

Due to the high winds, a pillar is dropped from the building in Shanghai which crashes onto the top of the vehicle.

Miraculously no-one was hurt.

As it hits the bus, it splinters into two pieces, causing a deep dent on the vehicle.

Glass shatters from the window as it comes to a halt.

News reports state that one person was sitting on the bus at the time.

Somehow they escaped injury when it hit.

The video, posted to CGTN’s Facebook Page, has already had over 462,000 view already.

One Facebook user wrote: “Thanks God, all passengers are safe.”

Many used the shocked emoji to convey their horror.

Another simply wrote: “Wow” in reaction the scary crash.

Earlier this week, the high winds caused chaos in an airport in China.

Filmed at Nanchang Changbei International Airport, the ceiling of the airport is ripped from roof.

It slowly peels away and falls to the road in the front of the terminal.

People can be seen rushing to get out of the way and screaming inside the airport.

Thankfully no-one was hurt in the crash.

A viral video captures the terrifying moment a collapsing glacier almost injures two men in a boat.

The men can be seen in a speedboat as they’re surrounded by icy tundra.

They appear to be working in the area as they wear professional gear whilst starring the boat.

It makes for a heart-stopping watch.

The video is actually from a BBC documentary, Suddenly, a huge glacier falls off the side of the icy mountain.

It causes an avalanche which slams into the water, creating huge waves.

The men in the speedboat are forced to quickly drive away as the water and falling ice chases them.

Thankfully they manage to escape at the last minute.

The Imgur video has since had over 90,000 views, with online users also shocked by the dangerous situations.

One wrote: “They just defeated death.”

Another had a rather topical joke for the video.

They remarked: “Which Winter Olympic event is this? Surfing?”

Two men were spotted in a different dangerous situation whilst on a boat.

Spotted in Florida was a huge crocodile on the front of the boat.

Fearlessly the two men then try and flip it off the boat with their bare hands.

The outcome is remarkable, if not unbelievable.

Bad drivers are often the star of the show in viral videos, with many of their highly illegal actions being caught on car dashcams.

Dangerous manoeuvres and bad judgement calls are just some of the things drivers have been seen doing on camera.

A man driving on the motorway in Japan caught one coach driver being unaware of his surroundings and nearly causing a high-speed crash.

Thankfully the driver filming manages to avoid it.

The dashcam footage shows a car trying to overtake a bright pink coach which is driving quickly.

Suddenly, as the coach speeds up, the hold door which contains the suitcases pulls up, either by accident or due to the driver pressing the button.

Suitcases begin to fall out of the hold, skidding into the middle of the road.

The driver then slams on the brakes and avoids hitting any of them.

The Imgur video, with over 113,000 views already, shocked users that this could happen when a coach is driving.

One wrote: “Never even thought about the fact that this could happen. One more reason to worry about my luggage when travelling on a bus now.”

Another couldn’t resist a funny pun about the situation.

They remarked: “I asked my lawyer if I could sue over this. He said I didn’t have much of a case.”

It isn’t the first near miss caught on camera after a shocking video emerged on Imgur.

A lorry was seen dangerously wobbling after falling into a ditch during a traffic queue.

The car in the lane next to it attempted to avoid it by moving over to the side of the road.

Thankfully the wobbling lorry regained its balances before it crushed the car.

The 52-year-old presenter explained that Melanoma expert Gillian Nuttall was watching his gripping ITV documentary Serial Killer with Piers Morgan when she instantly noticed the tell-tale sign of a potentially cancerous blemish. 

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Piers explained: “When my Serial Killer crime documentary aired on ITV in November, Gillian Nuttall, founder of Melanoma UK, emailed me to say: ‘Piers, at the risk of sounding like a lunatic, I’m just watching your programme and there’s a blemish visible on your chest.”

Piers said that Gillian asked: “‘Have you had it checked?’”

The former editor is known for his controversial views and regular spats with GMB co-host Susanna Reid, 46, on the show, but when it comes to his health he doesn’t joke around. 

Following an immediate visit to a specialist, the father-of-four continued: “This week, a top dermatologist took one look and immediately cut it out. 

“Much further delay, he informed me, and it might well have turned cancerous. ‘Give that lady a gold star!’”

“Thanks, Gillian. Oh the irony of a serial killer inadvertently helping to save my life,” he joked. “Merry Christmas!”

Explaining why she’d stepped up to assist the TV star so quickly, Gillian posted her reasons on her social media account. 

“I stopped the TV and looked closely – it really bothered me so as I’d got his email, I just thought ‘A quick shove in the right direction won’t harm’.

“I was right. I haven’t got a Piers Morgan fetish, honestly!”
