Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, has reportedly declined the chance to see her niece-in-law Princess Eugenie of York get married.

According to an insider, the 71-year-old has refused to change her plans to see the nuptials – after already having committed to attend a school harvest festival.

The second royal wedding of 2018 was scheduled eight months ago, however it is thought the senior royal’s public engagement had been set up earlier.

The event is said to be taking place close to her Scottish home, Birkhall, located on the Balmoral Estate.

A source told The Sun that when the date October 12 was suggested, Camilla said “that regrettably she couldn’t come”.

The publication went on to report that Princess Eugenie and her parents had hoped she would change her mind.

However, it’s been claimed Camilla was determined to honour her original plan – even if it mean missing the young royal’s big day.

Express.co.uk has contacted Clarence House asking for comment.

With the 28-year-old being ninth in line to the throne, it’ll come as no surprise that a number of royal guests are expected at the nuptials next week.

Princess Eugenie is the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sarah Ferguson, both 58.

The royal has already confirmed that her sister, Princess Beatrice, 30, will be by her side as she takes on the role of Maid of Honour.

Through her father, the princess is the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh.

And as well as these senior royals being expected to attend, Prince William, 36, and Prince Harry, 34, look set to see their cousin Princess Eugenie get married.

It’s likely the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, 36, and the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, 37, will also attend.

Prince William and Kate’s two eldest children, five-year-old Prince George and three-year-old Princess Charlotte, could also be there to mark the occasion.

While Princess Eugenie is yet to announce the full line up of her bridal party, the youngsters could be a bridesmaid and pageboy.

The pair have already taken on the role three times before – including back in May, when their uncle Prince Harry married Meghan Markle.

According to reports, the royal and her groom-to-be have invited 850 guests to St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, on Friday.

The bride and groom to be have also invited 1,200 people to take in the special day form the grounds of Windsor Castle – with ITV also televising the occasion.

“Hello Peter and the gang,  I have a question about film festivals. My wife and I love going to the movies together. I’d list our bonafides but you don’t care about that stuff and it’d just be a thinly veiled list designed to culminate in the fact that we had an awesome wedding in an art house theater. Oh darn, look at that, it slipped in there.  Anyway, every year we try to take a vacation, last year it was Disney, this year was Ireland but I’ve had an idea to try to go to one of the bigger cooler film festivals. The problem with that though is that I really know nothing about them. I see a lot of headlines and early reviews coming out of things like Sundance and TIFF and South By but I really have no clue on how one goes about getting tickets to such a thing or if you have to be a working media member or anything. So I’m looking for your opinions on the best festivals that we could go to as just fans of films. We aren’t looking to necessarily see the next Un Chien Andalou so nothing too crazy artsy.   Now one small caveat to this is that my wife is a teacher so our only real window to go to one of these festivals is in the summer. Also, we live in Philly so if there’s anything that doesn’t require a cross-country flight that’d be great too. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.   I love the podcast and the website, thanks so much for the hours of entertainment and information.”

Princess Eugenie of York and Jack Brooksbank attended the wedding of Daisy Jenks and Charlie Van Straubenzee today.

The engaged couple held hands as they entered the wedding venue of Saint Mary The Virgin Church in Fresham, Surrey.

Their own wedding is coming up imminently on 12 October this year. The pair will wed at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. 

Princess Eugenie is known for her quirky style choices, like her Philip Treacy hat for Kate Middleton and Prince William’s wedding in 2011.

Today was no exception as she opted for a pair of space age style sunglasses to shield her eyes from the rays. 

Princess Eugenie’s clothing was fairly demure. She wore a cornflower blue dress.

It was midi length and fitted tightly around the bust and hips, hugging Eugenie’s curves.

She paired it with a cropped white jacket which had decorative buttons down one lapel. 

On her feet she wore a pair of nude stiletto heels with a thin ankle strap which buckled at the side.

Her accessories, however, told a different story altogether to her demure look.

The daring sunglasses looked like a pair of 3D cinema goggles, adding a space age touch to the traditional look.

Eugenie also held a clashing multi-coloured boxy clutch in one hand. It was embellished with flowers in different colours of red, pink, blue and green.

Princess Eugenie later took off her white blazer in the heat to reveal toned arms.

Earlier this week, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice were given the same honour Kate Middleton and Princess Diana once had.

The sisters will follow in the footsteps of Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, and the late Princess Diana, who both featured in the magazine before.

Kate featured on the front cover of the publication for its centenary issue in 2016.

Princess Diana, meanwhile, starred on the front cover in 1991.

However, there is a crucial difference as the princesses will not feature on the front cover of the magazine.

The cover featuring Rihanna, 30, was already unveiled earlier today.

It is believed Eugenie and Beatrice will feature in the pages of the September issue instead.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry arrived had in hand at the royal’s cousin’s wedding yesterday.

Pictures taken at the event show the couple arriving for the wedding of Celia McCorquodale in Stoke Rochford, Lincolnshire.

The stunning Duchess dressed the part, making sure not to upstage the bride.

The former actress in cable drama Suits swamped her small frame in the maxi dress.

The baggy dress had long loose sleeves and a conservative cut.

The Duchess added a white fascinator and a pair of white heels.

Her make-up was typically low key, and she wore a small pair of earrings and her engagement ring and wedding band.

Prince Harry on the other hand wore a morning suit with a beige waist coat and blue tie.

They pair were attending the wedding of Princess Diana’s niece, Celia McCorquodale.

Celia is the younger daughter of the Princess of Wales’ sister Lady Sarah McCorquodale.

The bride wore a lace dress and a veil, as well as the diamond tiara worn by Princess Diana at her wedding to Prince Charles in 1981.

The Spencer tiara was thought to be one of the tiara’s Meghan chose from on her big day.

Celia, 29, attended Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding and she returned the favour by inviting the couple to her country wedding to George Woodhouse at St Andrew and St Mary’s Church in Stoke Rochford, Lincolnshire.

Harry and Meghan looked delighted to be at the occasion.

They arrived at the church holding hands and smiling and laughing.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were reunited after the Duchess stepped out without her husband this week in Cheshire.

However, Meghan did have another important companion, the Queen.

Meghan Markle and the Queen enjoyed an overnight trip in the royal train.

During the trip Meghan Markle’s hair was hit by Storm Hector.

Meghan’s long brunette locks hit her face as she attempted to wave at crowds in Chester.

Twitter users called for the actress to hire a different hair stylist in the wake of the fashion faux pas.

  • Weddings are expensive to plan: In 2017, The Knot found that the average cost of a wedding in America was $ 33,391.
  • But it’s also not cheap to be a wedding guest or a bridesmaid.
  • Costs can easily add up with the hotel stay, Ubers, gifts, a dress, and the multiple parties to attend. 
  • Refinery29 interviewed 10 millennial women about how much money they plan to spend this wedding season. 

It’s widely known that getting married can be expensive: For the typical wedding, there are venues to secure, DJs to pay, invitations to send out, and maybe a signature cocktail cleverly named after the newlyweds (or their wedding hashtag). In 2017, The Knot found that the average cost of a wedding in America was a staggering $ 33,391. But what’s also staggering — and talked about a lot less — is the steep cost of simply showing up as a guest.

Attending a wedding can involve a lot of spending: There’s the gift, the hotel stay, and the Ubers to and from. And, for those in the wedding, it’s a whole other beast: the bachelorette party, the bridal shower, the bridesmaid dress, the hair, the makeup…the list goes on.

According to a Credit Karma study, almost 20% of millennials say they’ve spent more than $ 1,000 on attending someone else’s wedding. Nearly 30% admitted to feeling FOMO over missing one. And for some, it’s a FOMO powerful enough to make them plop down their credit cards and spend money they don’t have. The moral of this story is: Maybe we all need to start saving for our friend’s upcoming weddings. (My friend group hasn’t started getting married yet, but when we do, god help us all.)

So how much should you be saving for wedding season? Ahead, 10 millennial women get real on how much they save and spend to attend their friend’s weddings.

Age: 29
Location: Boston, MA
Job: Environmental HR Generalist 
Salary: $ 70,000

How many weddings are you going to this season? 

“We’re attending seven weddings this season. I’m in one of the wedding parties and my boyfriend is in three of them. The added cost of staying two nights instead of one in order to attend the rehearsal dinner and the wedding has added up quick. For the weddings that my boyfriend is in, the venues are high-end resorts in Maine, New Hampshire, and Cape Cod, that require the wedding party to stay overnight on the premises. We expect to spend a minimum of $ 2,000-$ 2,500 on lodging and gifts alone. The biggest cost for my boyfriend has been the bachelor parties he’s required to attend as a member of the wedding parties. We agreed that this was a cost he would take care of on his own, and he has paid for a majority of it out of his own savings. We had hoped to get engaged ourselves this year, but it has proven impossible to save for a ring on top of all of the expenses that have come with attending other people’s weddings.”

What part(s) of wedding attendance are you saving up for?

“I’m specifically saving for bridal showers, wedding gifts, travel, and lodging.”

How much are you trying to save, and what steps are you taking in order to do so?

“The goal is to save at least $ 2,000. My boyfriend and I set up an account that we each transfer a minimum of $ 100 into each month. We started saving for the 2018 wedding season in November of last year.”

Have you racked up any credit card debt as a result of attending weddings? If so, how much?

“Last year we attended five weddings and had to travel to Canada and California for two of them. We spent $ 1,500 altogether for the season, paid on our cards, which we took three months following the weddings to pay off. This year we really want to pay for weddings out of our savings as opposed to just putting everything on a card like we did last season.”

“I’ve been to two already this year. One was a destination wedding where I was a bridesmaid, so that one cost me about $ 2,000. The other one was local. I spent about $ 250 on the bachelorette party, $ 100 on the gift, and another $ 200 on miscellaneous stuff like accessories and Ubers. If I have another wedding to go to this year, I’ll just be a plus one, so it’ll just cost me about $ 100 for my gift contribution.”

What part(s) of wedding attendance are you saving up for?

“I’m saving my vacation days! And the travel aspect of weddings, like hotels, excursions, and sight-seeing, has been the biggest budget-eater. All my friends live far from me, and most of the weddings I’m going to will require me to fly, so I just take my travel budget for the year and use that.”

How much are you trying to save, and what steps are you taking in order to do so?

“I put away $ 500 per month into my travel fund, which I will use for destination weddings. If it’s a local wedding, then it comes out of my fun fund ($ 700/month), and then I might dip into my short-term savings if it gets to be too much.”

Have you racked up any credit card debt as a result of attending weddings? If so, how much?

“No, and no one is worth me going into debt for! If we’re good friends and my presence means something to them, they would give me plenty of heads up. If not, then I don’t feel bad missing it.”

“All of it. I’m willing to spend the most on gifts, given these are all special, close, dear friends of mine.”

How much are you trying to save, and what steps are you taking in order to do so?

“I’m allotting $ 1,200 for the weddings I am maid of honor in — trying to include hotels, dresses, gifts, and miscellaneous costs, as well as bridal showers and bachelorette parties. (None of these three are destination weddings — thank goodness.) For the destination weddings, I’m allotting $ 750 for hotels, flights, and gifts. I’m going to wear dresses I currently own — no need to buy new, and I’m not attending the extra activities for these weddings. For the last wedding, which is local, I’m allotting the most money towards the gift.”

Have you racked up any credit card debt as a result of attending weddings? If so, how much?

“No. I am a firm believer in not using what I don’t have, which is how I came to attend the seven out of 13 and how I made my budget. I also saved way in advance and started a savings fund for weddings when my friends began to have more serious relationships in our late 20s.”

Meghan Markle’s father Thomas Markle Sr has told TMZ he had a heart attack six days ago.

The former cinematographer will not attend the royal wedding, the news outlet have reported.

According to TMZ Meghan Father told then he has been “ambushed by the paparazzi”.

He added the recent reportedly staged pictures of him looking at articles about his daughter and fiancee were “stupid and hammy”.

Kensington Palace said in a statement released last week that Mr Markle would walk his daughter down the aisle.

Thomas Markle Sr, 73, told TMZ he checked himself out of hospital to attend Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s nuptials, but that now he will not be travelling to the UK to walk his daughter down the aisle.

Kensington Palace said on May 4: “Mr. Thomas Markle and Ms. Doria Ragland will be arriving in the UK in the week of the wedding, allowing time for Prince Harry’s family, including The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, to spend time with them before the big day.

“Both of the bride’s parents will have important roles in the wedding.

“On the morning of the wedding, Ms. Ragland will travel with Ms. Markle by car to Windsor Castle.

“Mr. Markle will walk his daughter down the aisle of St George’s Chapel. Ms. Markle is delighted to have her parents by her side on this important and happy occasion.”

The news comes after an exclusive source told Express.co.uk the Queen is “very angry” with Mr Markle about the images.

It is said the Queen, 92, Prince Philip, 96, and the Lord Chamberlain’s Office are “angry” with Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle Sr, 73.

This comes after allegations over the weekend Thomas colluded with a photographer to stage photos of himself.

The photos have since sold for huge sums of money among the world’s paparazzi.

“Lord Chamberlain, Her Majesty and the Duke are very angry with Meghan’s father,” the source revealed.

Earlier today, Meghan’s sister revealed she was behind her father’s staged photos after suggesting it. 

Samantha Grant, 53, said she “suggested” Meghan’s father Thomas Markle Sr, 73, colluded with the media for staged photographs ahead of the royal wedding.

She said she was the “culprit” – and that she had suggested the photos to help her father be portrayed as “respectable”.

Samantha even claimed she did it to “benefit the royal family” as well as her father.

She told the Loose Women panel: “I have to say I am entirely the culprit.
