Sarah Ferguson, also known as Fergie, is the ex wife of Prince Andrew, whom she divorced in 1996 after a decade of marriage.

Despite divorcing, the couple have remained close and were pictured together at Ascot last Friday alongside their eldest daughter, Princess Beatrice, 29.

A body language expert said the Duke and Duchess of York looked “flirty” at Ascot as they stood together.

Judi James said the couple resembled a “flirty couple of their first date”.

Sarah has since posted about the Ascot appearance on her Instagram account, calling it a “great day out”.

She posted a picture of her with Prince Andrew and Princess Beatrice on Instagram.

In the photograph, she is playfully pointing at Prince Andrew while he smiles and laughs.

Beatrice also appears to be laughing as she stands between her parents.

The post is captioned: “Great day with my family @ascotracecourse@hrhthedukeofyork #Beatrice@princesseugenie #royalascot #racing”.

It is believed Sarah and Prince Andrew still live together at the Royal Lodge in Windsor.

She often celebrates her ex husband’s achievements on her Instagram account.

Most recently, she posted about Prince Andrew’s Colonel of the Grenadier role at the Trooping The Colour.

Sarah Ferguson has a busy few months ahead of her in the run up to her daughter Princess Eugenie, 28, getting married.

She will play a key role in Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank, 31, which is on 12 October this year.

It also looks like Sarah is raising her charity profile before Eugenie’s wedding.

The Duchess of York’s public image has been a mixed bag over the years. Her public image has been affected by the likes of the toe sucking scandal.

She was pictured with another man sucking her toes in St. Tropez in 1992 while still married to Andrew.

The Duchess was later exposed in 2010 by News of the World for offering access to Prince Andrew for money.

However, she has worked to change her public image in recent years.

She works with a number of different charities, including Children in Crisis and Teenage Cancer Trust.

Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, and Prince Andrew resembled a “flirty” couple on a first date at Ascot yesterday, according to a body language expert.

Sarah, also known as Fergie, and her ex husband Andrew divorced in 1996.

However, they have remained close – Sarah and Prince Andrew still live together, it is believed.

What’s more, they have two daughters together: Princess Eugenie, 28, and Princess Beatrice, 29.

The divorced couple attended the fourth day of Ascot together in the Royal Enclosure, along with Beatrice.

Pictures show the pair laughing and joking, so they are clearly getting on well.

A body language expert has spotted a further, romantic subtext in their interactions.

Body language expert Judi James said the couple looked like they were on a “first date”.

She said: “They might be divorced but Fergie and Andrew’s body language signals as they chat together here suggest a flirty couple on their first date.

“Fergie’s face-watching eye contact is flattering and her open-mouthed smile suggests genuine delight and approval as she watches her ex.

“The one arm barrier signal hints at coyness but it’s not nearly as coy as the one raised heel, which is quite a bashful flirt signal.

Judi added that Andrew seemed “less open” but still enjoyed the flirtation.

“Andrew might be less open about his feelings here but those narrowed eyes and slightly rounded cheeks suggest he’s quite happy with the attention.”

Will Sarah and Prince Andrew ever marry again? The birth of the royal baby means there is a chance it could happen.

This is because of a royal law dating back to 1772, known as the Royal Marriages Act, which states the first six individuals in the line of succession to the British throne cannot marry without the king or queen’s consent.

Now that the royal baby of Kate Middleton, 36, and Prince William, 35, has been born, Prince Andrew has dropped from sixth place to seventh place in the line of succession.

This means he is able to marry whomever he chooses without the consent of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, 92, whose husband, Prince Philip, 96, has a feud with Sarah Ferguson.

Royal laws aside, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson have made no secret of their affection for one another in recent years.

Sarah often posts pictures of Prince Andrew on her Instagram account, including recent pictures of him on stage at a St James’ Palace event.

Meanwhile, Prince Andrew has made a statement by hosting Sarah as his guest at royal events which are listed on the prestigious Court Circular.

Victoria Pendleton was also seen looking gorgeous on the Berkshire racecourse.

Sophie Countess of Wessex: ‘Queen’s favourite’ snubbed in favour of Meghan Markle at Ascot https://briefnews.eu/sophie-countess-of-wessex-queens-favourite-snubbed-in-favour-of-meghan-markle-at-ascot/ https://briefnews.eu/sophie-countess-of-wessex-queens-favourite-snubbed-in-favour-of-meghan-markle-at-ascot/#respond Sat, 23 Jun 2018 10:13:49 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/sophie-countess-of-wessex-queens-favourite-snubbed-in-favour-of-meghan-markle-at-ascot/

Sophie, Countess of Wessex, 53, and her husband Prince Edward, 54, attended Ascot four times this year.

Meghan Markle, 36, attended just once, making her Royal Ascot debut on Tuesday 19 June.

However, the Duchess of Sussex was the one who dominated headlines.

Meanwhile, a special occasion for Sophie and her husband was overlooked.

Tuesday, the same day the royals attended Ascot, was Prince Edward and Sophie’s 19th wedding anniversary.

However, the important anniversary was not acknowledged on the Royal Family Twitter account.

Sophie has previously been described as the Queen’s favourite royal, according to the Daily Mail.

It is believed Sophie and her husband and their children – Louisa, 14, and James, 10 – regularly have early evening tea with the Queen at Windsor Castle on Sundays.

Sophie has been pictured riding with the Queen in the grounds of the castle.

She has also been carriage driving with Prince Philip, and is said to call him “Papa”.

Sophie looked beautiful in pale lavender at Royal Ascot yesterday.

Her outfit consisted of a pretty shirt dress with belt and a full shirt with mini pleats. Her saucer hat was covered in pretty pink and purple feathers.

However, eagled eyed may have noticed a detail about the outfit that look somewhat similar.

On her ring finger on her right hand Sophie wore a large blue stone. The piece looks strikingly similar to Diana’s aquamarine and diamond ring.

However, the piece appeared to be a replica piece rather than the original.

Sarah Ferguson makes Royal Ascot 2018 debut – getting close with the Royal Family https://briefnews.eu/sarah-ferguson-makes-royal-ascot-2018-debut-getting-close-with-the-royal-family/ https://briefnews.eu/sarah-ferguson-makes-royal-ascot-2018-debut-getting-close-with-the-royal-family/#respond Fri, 22 Jun 2018 15:08:45 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/sarah-ferguson-makes-royal-ascot-2018-debut-getting-close-with-the-royal-family/

Sarah Ferguson, 58, stepped out at Royal Ascot today with her daughter Princess Beatrice, 29, and her ex-husband Prince Andrew, 58.

Day four of Royal Ascot is well underway, with the Royal Family making an appearance each day of the prestigious horse racing meet so far.

Today was the turn of flame-haired Fergie, who turned heads when she appeared with her daughter and ex-husband, who she reportedly still has a close relationship with.

Fergie looked chic in a navy blue ensemble, adhering to the strict Royal Ascot dress code with matching hat and accessories.

The dress was more autumnal than befitting to the scorching sunshine, coming to just above the knee with long, fitted sleeves.

Flaring out from below the hips adding a whimsical element, the dress also had a high neckline and navy blue tassels decorating the edges of the sleeves.

With hats a must at Royal Ascot, the 58-year-old wore a saucer-style hat, also in navy blue, set at a jaunty angle.

Adding some embellishment to the otherwise simple, almost business-like outfit, the hat had quirky ribbons fashioned in twirly patterns underneath the left side of the hat – contrasting against Fergie’s red hair.

The hat was similar in shape to that worn by Meghan Markle at Prince Charles’ 70th birthday party in May.

She also proudly wore her name badge, something other royals haven’t been doing this year.

To walk comfortably on the Royal Ascot lawns, Sarah wore a pair of low-heeled navy blue shoes with a slight pointed toe.

Matching her famous red hair, her dainty clutch bag featured a burnt orange and navy blue design, with edgy snakeskin print on the front.

She kept things simple in the makeup department with a slight smokey eye and barely-there foundation and lipstick, accessorising the look with some drop-down pearl earrings, a favourite of the royals.

After arriving, Sarah was spotted curtseying to Her Majesty the Queen with Beatrice and Andrew, holding onto her daughter’s hand, possibly for support.

Getting rid of the formalities, Fergie was later spotted laughing and chatting with the Queen away from prying eyes in a Royal Box.

This has been the first time Sarah has been spotted near the Queen since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Royal Wedding.

Wearing a similar navy blue outfit at the wedding, Sarah didn’t arrive with her daughters or sit near them during the ceremony, instead arriving alone.

She was also reportedly stunned by Prince Charles’ from the intimate wedding reception party at Frogmore House.

However, for her youngest daughter Princess Eugene’s wedding in October this year, Sarah is expected to sit with Beatrice and her ex-husband Andrew.

Sarah is said to be very busy helping Eugenie plan her big day.

Thrifty Queen Elizabeth RE-WEARS pink boucle coat and dress from 2015 at Ascot races https://briefnews.eu/thrifty-queen-elizabeth-re-wears-pink-boucle-coat-and-dress-from-2015-at-ascot-races/ https://briefnews.eu/thrifty-queen-elizabeth-re-wears-pink-boucle-coat-and-dress-from-2015-at-ascot-races/#respond Sat, 21 Oct 2017 14:55:03 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/thrifty-queen-elizabeth-re-wears-pink-boucle-coat-and-dress-from-2015-at-ascot-races/

Queen Elizabeth II has been spotted at Ascot today on QIPCO British Champions Day.

The 91-year-old monarch ventured onto the racecourse despite rough winds.

She wrapped up warm in a baby pink boucle coat which featured a fluffy trim and pearl buttons.

A pink and silver brooch was added to the left breast of the jacket and she wore a matching pink boucle dress underneath.

Her Majesty accesorized with pearl earrings, a pearl necklace, a small black patent handbag and cream coloured gloves.

She topped off the look with a baby pink hat with a white fluffy feather on the front.

While the Queen looked chic as she ventured round the course it is not the first time she has been pictured in the outfit.

Back in December 2015 she was snapped walking along the platform at King’s Lynn railway station after arriving by train to begin her annual Christmas break at Sandringham House.

She wore the same pink boucle coat and dress but her accessories were a little different this time.

She held a similar-looking black handbag but slipped on a pair of black gloves and covered her head with a silk white and pink headscarf adorned with a pink flower print.

Queen Mary takes style notes from Kate Middleton AGAIN in Ascot dress lookalike https://briefnews.eu/queen-mary-takes-style-notes-from-kate-middleton-again-in-ascot-dress-lookalike/ https://briefnews.eu/queen-mary-takes-style-notes-from-kate-middleton-again-in-ascot-dress-lookalike/#respond Mon, 09 Oct 2017 14:26:48 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/queen-mary-takes-style-notes-from-kate-middleton-again-in-ascot-dress-lookalike/

Princess Mary of Denmark, 45, stepped out today looking every inch the royal in a stunning white lace ensemble.

The Crown Princess, who is married to Crown Prince Frederik, channelled British royal Kate Middleton, 35, in a white gown with a pussy bow collar.

The 45-year-old royal wore her brown hair in an elegant bun and large diamond earrings.

Silver bangles dangled around her wrists and she held tortoiseshell sunglasses in her hand.

She wore white pumps on her feet, and her make-up was fresh, with a pretty pink lip.

Crown Prince Frederik, 49, looked equally dapper in a brown check suit, a blue shirt and a maroon tie.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary were visiting Kenrokuen Garden, Kanazawa, Ishikawa, during the Danish royal state visit to Japan.

The look was very similar to the outfit Kate Middleton wore to Ascot this year.

Kate wore a white, lace Alexander McQueen dress, with a high neck and a whit fascinator.

She added nude heels to the ensemble, which she wore to join her husband Prince William, 35, at the racing event.

This is not the first time Princess Mary has taken inspiration from Kate Middleton.

She stepped out in a bright pink dress, with a sparkling diamond broach.

The Duchess of Cambridge has been known to also wear the stunning bright pink colour.

Kate wore a striking £1,500 magenta coat when she was pregnant in 2015, and the colour is flattering for both the women, who look strikingly similar.

Mary also recently wore a dress very similar to Kate Middleton’s navy blue engagement dress, from fashion brand Issa.

She wore the gown at the UN Goalkeepers Global Awards Dinner at the Lincoln Centre in New York on September 19.

Ascot fashion FAIL: Woman suffers wardrobe malfunction nearly exposing her underwear https://briefnews.eu/ascot-fashion-fail-woman-suffers-wardrobe-malfunction-nearly-exposing-her-underwear/ https://briefnews.eu/ascot-fashion-fail-woman-suffers-wardrobe-malfunction-nearly-exposing-her-underwear/#respond Sat, 24 Jun 2017 16:03:47 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/ascot-fashion-fail-woman-suffers-wardrobe-malfunction-nearly-exposing-her-underwear/

A famale race-goer nearly suffered the ultimate fashion fail at Royal Ascot today as she held her modesty together with her hands.

Walking across the concourse, the brunette woman dressed in a low-cut cream frock saved herself from flashing.

With both hands she hoiked her dress up to stop it slipping down and, thus, showing everyone her bra.

She carried on with a smile, however, and it must be said she had a great sense of fashion with the dress flattering her figure.

Others didn’t hit such a fashion high, however. One blonde lady arrived in a dress cut above the knee with a giant picture of a tabby cat emblazoned across the front.

The wild print got everyone talking as she arrived with a mahogany tan and a top hat spotting some seriously tall feathers.

Another trio, who appeared to arrive together, went all-out to make sure all eyes were on them.

A blonde lady had designed a meat ball hat complete with a fork sticking out the top.

Her friends sported a rather garish pearl fascinator and golden skull top hat.

With somewhat more style and grace, the Queen, 91, arrived at Royal Ascot this afternoon in a glorious purple suit and matching hat.

Her fascinator was adorned with stunning silk flowers and she matched it with a lick of red lipstick and a string of pearls around her neck.

Prince Philip was not with his wife the Queen – cancelling his visit after an overnight stay at hospital earlier in the week.

There has been no official update on his condition.

On Wednesday, a Buckingham Palace spokesman said: “The Duke of Edinburgh was admitted to King Edward VII Hospital in London last night, as a precautionary measure, for treatment of an infection arising from a pre-existing condition.

“Prince Philip is in good spirits and is disappointed to be missing the State Opening of Parliament and Royal Ascot.

“The Prince of Wales will accompany the Queen to the State Opening. Her Majesty is being kept informed and will attend Royal Ascot as planned this afternoon.”

The Queen, 91, arrived at Royal Ascot this afternoon in a glorious purple suit and matching hat.

Her fascinator was adorned with stunning silk flowers and she matched it with a lick of red lipstick and a string of pearls around her neck.

At 2pm sharp on each day of racing, the Queen and her Royal Procession pass through the Golden Gates of the racecourse to signal the start of the races.

Although the weather is decidedly more overcast than in previous days, Queen Elizabeth managed a smile for her adoring crowd.

“The Prince of Wales will accompany the Queen to the State Opening. Her Majesty is being kept informed and will attend Royal Ascot as planned this afternoon.”

This year Royal Ascot opened with a minute’s silence across the racecourse, to commemorate the victims of the Grenfell Tower tragedy.

Ascot Racecourse is also making a £100,000 donation to the British Red Cross UK Solidarity and the London Fire Relief Fund as a well as local charities.

Johnny Weatherby, Chairman of Ascot Racecourse, said: “We have all been deeply saddened by recent tragic events around the country.

“At the beginning of this important week for racing, we at Ascot Racecourse wish to pay our respects to the victims and offer support to the families who have been so terribly affected.”
