Adzuna analysed the career history and experience for each candidate to determine who is worth the most.

The search engine used their ValueMyCV tool while also looking at job market data to come to this conclusion.

Based on what was known about the candidates when The Apprentice started, finalist Scarlett was ranked the highest at £97,483.

Explaining her ranking, Adzuna said: “With 12 years’ experience in recruitment, Scarlett decided to launch her own recruitment company, Harper Fox Partners, in 2018.

In a bid to secure sales, Kayode and his team went to speak to several business owners about potentially renovating their gardens on .

However, to try and make himself stand out, Kayode wore a hat resembling a Daffodil, with his face the centre of the flower.

Although he was dressed in a suit, Kayode hoped to get the business owners on side by making a light hearted joke of the costume.

Viewers were distracted by the questionable fashion choice and took to social media to voice their options on Kayode’s new look on the series.

One viewer, confused by Kayode’s appearance, queried: “I’m still stuck as to why is he wearing that f*****g thing on his head!#TheApprentice.”

Another questioned: “Why does Kayode look like he’s on his way to a Welsh rugby game #TheApprentice,” in relation to the nation’s iconic flower.

“Was dressing up as a flower a requirement or did both teams have the same weird dream? #TheApprentice,” a third commented.

Whilst a fourth remarked: “Only @KayodeKoD could rock a sunflower hat and make it look cool, love it #theapprentice,” offering support to the contestants hat.

More fans issued their praise for Kayode, with one writing: “TheApprentice Kayode is the cutest flower.”

A sixth declared: “Loving the flower head dress Kayode! #theapprentice”.

Continuing the support, another commented: “The sunflower hat with a full suit is a great look #TheApprentice.”

An eighth viewer wrote: “I’m loving Kayode with a daffodil head. #theapprentice,” praising the candidates style.

However, fans still questioned why Kayode was wearing the hat: “Sunflower hats? Is this Cbeebies? #TheApprentice.”

One viewer did have to correct the candidate however, as Kayode referred to himself as a sunflower when pitching to business owners.

“What a man Kayode is. Called a daffodil a sunflower hahaha #TheApprentice,” the viewer joked.

Kayode and the rest of his team were in the firing line as their urban gardening skills didn’t pay off, losing out to the other team who generated a greater profit.

The candidate was brought back to the boardroom as project manager Tom believed Kayode contributed to the failure of the task.

Lord Alan Sugar appreciated Kayode had performed well in the competition, however, his efforts put him in danger.

Speaking of his exit, Kayode said: “You live, you learn, you live again, so I will be back. At some point, he will see me again.”

The Apprentice continues Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One.

The Apprentice 2018: Lord Sugar to QUIT? Businessman spills all on ultimatum https://briefnews.eu/the-apprentice-2018-lord-sugar-to-quit-businessman-spills-all-on-ultimatum/ https://briefnews.eu/the-apprentice-2018-lord-sugar-to-quit-businessman-spills-all-on-ultimatum/#respond Wed, 24 Oct 2018 18:01:23 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/the-apprentice-2018-lord-sugar-to-quit-businessman-spills-all-on-ultimatum/

Business tycoon Lord Alan Sugar, 71, is renowned for his sharp words, explosive rants in the boardroom and quick firing of The Apprentice contestants.

But, he has revealed how he once threatened to quit the popular reality business TV show, unless BBC bosses changed his perception.

The businessman gave producers an ultimatum, to stop making him “look like a bl**dy ogre” or he would walk away.

Fearing The Apprentice wouldn’t be the same without his control, it seems he got his way and is now even allowed to help edit the show.

In an interview with The Mirror, he explained how he’s “always like to be a bit humorous”.

“But unfortunately previous editors of The Apprentice, under the BBC’s instructions, have been advised to make me look like a bl**dy ogre or whatever,” he explained.

“Part and parcel of the agreement for me to continue doing the programme is for me to say that I am not going to be shown as that anymore.”

He added how “people get nervous” when they are around him “because of this perceived stance” they see on show.

“In real life, it’s very straightforward, very business-like. There’s no reason for people to be nervous. t’s as simple as that,” Lord Sugar divulged.

This series, viewers have seen a warmer side to the mogul, with him even attempting to put the contestants in the boardroom at ease with a few jokes.

Last week, Kurran Pooni was seen on screen with his arm in a cast and sling.

It comes after the contestants, during downtime in The Apprentice decided to have an arm wrestle and unfortunately for Kurran he came out worse than just losing.

When it came to the contestants gathering in the boardroom following that week’s task, Lord Sugar noticed his injury and asked: “What happened to you?”

Kurran revealed: “I fractured a bone in my arm last night in the house, unfortunately. We were having an arm wrestling competition.”

Lord Sugar gasped: “Arm wrestling competition?” before making a jibe at Kurran’s acting career.

He teased: “I thought actors were supposed to break a leg?

“Well, you finally got into a cast anyway. Your big break? And from what I hear, you’ve appeared in Casualty, also?”

Tonight the remaining thirteen contestants are challenged with selling high-end products and services at one of the world’s biggest bodybuilding expos.

However, tensions will rise when they clash over which team will get to sell top notch weights.

Who will be the next candidate to be fired?

The Apprentice 2018 airs tonight at 9pm on BBC One.

The Apprentice 2018: What will happen next week in episode 2? https://briefnews.eu/the-apprentice-2018-what-will-happen-next-week-in-episode-2/ https://briefnews.eu/the-apprentice-2018-what-will-happen-next-week-in-episode-2/#respond Wed, 03 Oct 2018 21:28:24 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/the-apprentice-2018-what-will-happen-next-week-in-episode-2/

The Apprentice returned for its 2018 season tonight on BBC One.

This week’s episode was followed by a promo for the next instalment.

The episode will air next Wednesday (October 10) at 9pm on BBC One.

Here’s what that promo revealed about what task the candidates will be facing on next week’s Apprentice.

What will happen next week on The Apprentice?

At the beginning of the promo, we see Lord Sugar as an augmented reality cartoon speaking to the 15 remaining candidates.

It says: “For your next task you’ll be designing a brand new comic.”

We then get a glimpse at one of the characters that the boys’ team design for their comic book.

Aspiring actor Kurran Pooni is then seen in the recording studio giving their character a voice.

WHO LEFT THE APPRENTICE LAST NIGHT?

We hear him say, “I can go anywhere with my magic telescope,” while Kayode sits there with his head in his hands in embarrassment.

The girls seem to have another falling out, as we see Khadija Kalifa say to Sabrina Stocker, “How about you do what I just asked you?”

The trailer also shows that David Alden may be in trouble in the next episode.

We see Alex Finn confronting him, saying: “Don’t highlight negative points of your own product, you’re selling it!”

WHO ARE THIS YEAR’S APPRENTICE CANDIDATES?

“Over all of these moments, the voiceover says: “Next time, comic capers, super rivalries and in the boardroom one unhappy ending.”

The trailer then ends with Lord Sugar saying to an unknown candidate: “This was a load of rubbish, absolute garbage.”

He then adds: “You’ve got no business acumen… you’re fired”

The official synopsis for next week’s episode, which is titled Comics, reads: “The candidates are challenged to create a brand-new comic aimed at children, before pitching their ideas to leading industry figures to secure orders.

WHAT TIME DOES THE APPRENTICE START?

“The task balances creative flair with productive pitching and the team that forgets either could face a graphic showdown in the boardroom.

“On the story teams, while one PM takes an assertive lead, the other’s sub team leader seems to lose the plot.

“When creating their Augmented Reality front covers, the girls run riot, while the boys team struggles to make a move.”

The Apprentice 2018: Lord Sugar lifts the lid on Piers Morgan cameo – 'He wouldn't last!' https://briefnews.eu/the-apprentice-2018-lord-sugar-lifts-the-lid-on-piers-morgan-cameo-he-wouldnt-last/ https://briefnews.eu/the-apprentice-2018-lord-sugar-lifts-the-lid-on-piers-morgan-cameo-he-wouldnt-last/#respond Wed, 26 Sep 2018 02:49:38 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/the-apprentice-2018-lord-sugar-lifts-the-lid-on-piers-morgan-cameo-he-wouldnt-last/

Lord Alan Sugar and Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan regularly go at each other on social media, firing insults left, right and centre on Twitter.

But will their war of words cross-over to The Apprentice when the hit BBC show returns next week for its fourteenth season?

At present, Baroness Karen Brady and Claude Littner support Lord Sugar, 71, in his venture to find his next business partner.

However, some would argue there is plenty of room for Piers, 53, to inject himself in the series if need be.

Unfortunately, Lord Alan has no intention of hiring Piers, bluntly saying: “No, he won’t be on the show.”

He said: “Piers wouldn’t last two minutes. He did the Celebrity Apprentice series 13 years ago and got fired.

“He conveniently forgets to mention that.”

Speaking to The Daily Star about Pier’s appearance on The Apprentice US, he added: “He goes on about how he got hired on the American show but I made that happen.”

The businessman claims to have coached Piers on how to win the US version of The Apprentice, which was hosted by President Donald Trump.

Although Piers will not be making an appearance on the show, Lord Sugar did confirm Celebrity Apprentice will be released later this year.

Not wanting to give away too much though, the business mogul simply said the series was “in production”.

Until then Lord Sugar fans can look forward to latest series of The Apprentice, which begins next month on BBC One.

Once again 16 contestants will battle it out to get Lord Sugar’s investment and become his next business partner.

They will complete a number of tasks over the course of 12 weeks until just one victor remains to be crowned the winner of the competition.

Last year James White and Sarah Lynn were both crowned champions of The Apprentice and received a £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk after her win, Sarah said: “I think James and I really did have a good bond going into that process, throughout it.

“It was the case of when we got to the final boardroom you know, business is business, nothing’s personal.

“[We said] we’ll both go in and do what we have to do, and may the best man or the best woman win.

“So it was just an even better feeling to have that respect for each other and go in and do what we have to do and come out as joint winners.”

The Apprentice 2018 starts next Wednesday on BBC One at 9pm.

The Apprentice Season 14 FIRST LOOK: Candidates spotted shooting scenes in central London https://briefnews.eu/the-apprentice-season-14-first-look-candidates-spotted-shooting-scenes-in-central-london/ https://briefnews.eu/the-apprentice-season-14-first-look-candidates-spotted-shooting-scenes-in-central-london/#respond Wed, 02 May 2018 00:35:53 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/the-apprentice-season-14-first-look-candidates-spotted-shooting-scenes-in-central-london/

Lord Alan Sugar’s newest potential apprentices have been captured shooting scenes for the new season of The Apprentice at The Scoop at More London.

A host of business hopefuls, dressed in formal attire, were seen walking along the famous footpath that regularly features in the opening sequence of the BBC show.

However, notorious boss Lord Sugar, 71, was nowhere to be seen when the cameras were rolling, suggesting this shoot was strictly for candidates only.

The photo was shared on Twitter by Wayne Venuto, who captioned the image: “Filming of the new #Apprentice trailer advert this morning in London! – at The Scoop at More London.”

Earlier this year Lord Sugar called on budding entrepreneurs to apply for season 14 of the series.

In a video posted on the show’s official Twitter page, he said: “Now, I’m looking for my next business partner.

“If you’d like it to be you apply now to bbc.co.uk/apprentice.”

Participants who take part in the show compete for a chance to win a £250,000 investment and the opportunity to partner with Lord Sugar.

Over the course of 12 weeks, the 18 competitors will compete in a variety of tasks until just one victor remains.

Each week the contenders are divided into two teams – led by designated Project Managers.

The winning group are rewarded with treats, while the losing team’s Project Manager and two colleagues must face the boardroom judges.

Last year James White and Sarah Lynn were both crowned winners of The Apprentice and received a £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar.

She continued: “It was great because we had a hug and there was no downside, it was a win-win.

“Whatever people think on the outside, you do form those bonds, you spend a lot of time with these people and you learn about their lives and their families.”

The Apprentice will return to BBC One later this year.

The Apprentice 2017 winner: James White’s business plan SCRAPPED 'It was for the show' https://briefnews.eu/the-apprentice-2017-winner-james-whites-business-plan-scrapped-it-was-for-the-show/ https://briefnews.eu/the-apprentice-2017-winner-james-whites-business-plan-scrapped-it-was-for-the-show/#respond Mon, 18 Dec 2017 01:27:37 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/the-apprentice-2017-winner-james-whites-business-plan-scrapped-it-was-for-the-show/

In a shock twist for the long-running BBC competition, both the 26-year-old IT recruitment hopeful and confectionery store-owner Sarah Lynn, 35, were hired in tonight’s gripping final.

While a series’ first saw Lord Alan Sugar admitting that he genuinely couldn’t decide between the equally impressive candidates to go into business with, James has now revealed that everything viewers saw in the final, including the name and brand concept, has been ditched.

In an interview with Express.co.uk, the Birmingham-based entrepreneur confessed: “The name and the branding isn’t the brand that we’re going to use, I’ve already got a brand and it’s called Right Time Recruitment so we’re going to stick with that.

“The name that you saw on the show was more of a concept for the show, but we’re going to stick with what we’ve got already.”

Quizzed on why the winner chose to go along with the final task without flagging up his thoughts on the company’s plan, the star explained that he was initially open to different ideas.

“We’ve started to create an image around the brand over the last few months and that would be a shame to change,” he admitted. “So we’ve had a conversation and we’re going to stick with Right Time Recruitment. We’ve already got quite a few clients and just to change it all now would be the wrong thing to do.

“I thought it could be for the business, but we just sat down and decided it’s best to keep the one we’d already chosen. But at the time of the show I absolutely thought that could have been the one for the business going forward.”

Despite the confusion surrounding his plans for the business, James revealed that he’s convinced 70-year-old Lord Sugar will have an active role in the business.

He continued: “I think we’ll equally get the same input, I think it’s the same for everyone he’s invested in, so we’ll get regular boardroom meetings and Sarah’s business is a bit more established than mine we’ve only been going six months.

“We’ll have regular boardroom meetings and talking to the advisers, so hopefully we’ll be on the right track to success.”

The Apprentice final is available to watch on BBC iPlayer now.

The Apprentice final 2017: Karren and Claude defend Lord Sugar after viewer BACKLASH https://briefnews.eu/the-apprentice-final-2017-karren-and-claude-defend-lord-sugar-after-viewer-backlash/ https://briefnews.eu/the-apprentice-final-2017-karren-and-claude-defend-lord-sugar-after-viewer-backlash/#respond Sun, 17 Dec 2017 23:28:11 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/the-apprentice-final-2017-karren-and-claude-defend-lord-sugar-after-viewer-backlash/

Businessman Sugar offered quarter of a million pounds investment to both finalists James White, 26, and Sarah Lynn, 35 but faced a backlash from loyal The Apprentice fans.

However, trusty aides Karren Brady and Claude Littner jumped to Sugar’s defence following the broadcast.

Speaking to Rhod Gilbert on The Apprentice: You’re Hired, the pair backed the overall decision.

Claude said: “Well, I didn’t have a hand in it exactly. I’m very, very pleased with the outcome. I think it’s brilliant.”

As Rhod teased that that Lord Sugar may be knocking on Karen’s door to help towards the other £250,000 investment, she laughed that the business supremo would be fine.

Karren laughed: “Oh no, I think he’s going to be fine on that front.

“You know what Alan loves? He loves investing in people. He loves investing in business. He believes so passionately in giving people a chance.

“He saw two young people and he thought he couldn’t tear himself between the two of them so he’s going to back them both – and good for him.”

It comes after the final was pushed back earlier tonight as the BBC’s Sports Personality Of The Year overran.

Hosted by Gary Lineker, Clare Balding and Gabby Logan, the show announced that Mo Farah was the overall winner.

However, The Apprentice final was pushed back by 15 minutes as the live show faced several technical and timing errors.

final is available to watch on the iPlayer now.

The Apprentice 2017 final: Claude Littner FORCED to shut down Elizabeth ‘It wasn't shown' https://briefnews.eu/the-apprentice-2017-final-claude-littner-forced-to-shut-down-elizabeth-it-wasnt-shown/ https://briefnews.eu/the-apprentice-2017-final-claude-littner-forced-to-shut-down-elizabeth-it-wasnt-shown/#respond Sun, 17 Dec 2017 21:28:43 +0000 http://briefnews.eu/the-apprentice-2017-final-claude-littner-forced-to-shut-down-elizabeth-it-wasnt-shown/

The 68-year-old was chosen to be one of Lord Alan Sugar’s aides on the BBC series in 2015, following the candidates on various tasks alongside Karren Brady, 48.

While the CEO remains one of the business mogul’s most trusted aides, he revealed that he wasn’t always able to fulfil his role as a mere “observer” on the show in its latest season.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Claude shared: “I always maintain my neutrality, yet on this particular occasion, it wasn’t actually shown on TV, but I just couldn’t stand it anymore.

“It was on the doggy day task, Elizabeth and Joanna were together and what was happening was Joanna was putting out these doggy products and as Joanna was putting them out and taking them out of the box, Elizabeth was picking them up and putting them back in another box.

“I just couldn’t bear it anymore. I said, ‘Elizabeth stop doing that,’ and of course that wasn’t the right thing to do at all.”

The businessman went on to say that the 39-year-old florist’s behaviour was incredibly difficult to witness, especially at that advanced stage in the competition.

“I just couldn’t, it was beyond frustrating when you got to that sort of stage,” he explained. “I just couldn’t prevent myself from doing it, but generally speaking my role is simply to be an observer, to note everything down, to report back to Alan Sugar and not to get involved.”

Speaking about the controversial candidate’s portrayal on this year’s series, Claude also confessed: “I don’t think you can put that kind of thing on. She’s very very true to herself, she’s got a very very strong work ethic, there’s no doubt about that, and she’s absolutely passionate and gives 100 per cent effort to every single task.

“But by the same token she’s completely misguided, she’s impossible to work with, she’s very very annoying.

“Ultimately, she’s quite endearing because she’s in her own world and doesn’t really appreciate that this is a task where you need to work with people, you can’t lead them, and she often led them into the wrong area.”

Though, Claude stressed that some tasks would “not” have been achieved if it hadn’t been for her commitment to the cause.

The Apprentice final airs tonight at 9pm on BBC One.
