Nintendo Switch Online is adding two more gaming classics to its growing library of NES titles. Starting on February 13th, you’ll be able to play Super Mario Bros. 2 and Kirby’s Adventure on the subscription service. The second Super Mario game doesn’t have multiplayer mode like its predecessor, but it has several protagonists to choose from in your battle to free the dream world from Wart the tyrant. You can play not just as Mario and Luigi, but also as Toad and Princess Toadstool.

Kirby’s Adventure is another platformer and the second game in the Kirby series. It was first released in 1993 for the NES and then again for the 3DS in 2011, but now you can play it again even if you haven’t taken your Nintendo handheld out of the closet since you got the Switch. The gaming giant’s Switch Online service now has 30 NES titles available to feed your nostalgia if you grew up during the NES/SNES era. Its library includes other beloved classics such as Zelda II, Ninja Gaiden and the original Super Mario Bros.

Mikael Kingsbury never had so much to lose as on Feb. 12, when he hit the track at the Phoenix Snow Park. As the odds-on favourite in the men's moguls event at the Pyeongchang Olympics, the 26-year-old ski star was well aware that only a victory would meet expectations.

Going second-last in the super final, Kingsbury rose to the occasion. In full control, he nailed a perfect descent that earned him the one title that had eluded him: Olympic champion.

"I was in the position where it was gold or nothing," the athlete from Deux-Montagnes, Que. said of his second Olympic experience.

"For those who follow my sport, even a second place would have been considered a poor performance. Yes, there was pressure but, at the top of the course, I had a really good feeling. And when that's the case, I have confidence and that's always a good sign."

Kingsbury's dream year earns him the Lionel Conacher Award from The Canadian Press as Canada's male athlete of the year.

The Quebec skier was chosen by 30 of the 56 sportswriters and commentators from newsrooms across the country.

He beat out Edmonton Oilers centre Connor McDavid (12 votes), who won the Art Ross Trophy as the NHL's top scorer as well as the Ted Lindsay Award for outstanding player as selected by his peers.

Next on the list was soccer phenom Alphonso Davies with five votes, double Olympic speed skating medallist Ted-Jan Bloeman (3), para-skier Brian McKeever (3), New Jersey Devils winger Taylor Hall (2), and Ottawa Redblacks receiver Brad Sinopoli (1).

"I could have chosen McDavid, as we chose [Sidney] Crosby at one time, but Kingsbury's gold was one of the strongest moments of the Korean games, leading into performances by other Canadian athletes," wrote Le Quotidien's Denis Bouchard.

"No other Canadian athlete dominates their sport as outrageously as Mikael Kingsbury," wrote Jean-Francois Begin of La Presse.

The Deux-Montagnes, Que., skier opened the season by winning his 50th career moguls World Cup title in Ruka, Finland on Friday. 0:44

While Olympic gold was undoubtedly the highlight of his year, Kingsbury continued to dominate the World Cup circuit with seven victories in 10 starts, including three in a row to end the 2017-18 season.

He won two Crystal Globes at the end of the last World Cup season as overall men's freestyle points leader and overall men's moguls leader.

Kingsbury becomes the first skier to win the Lionel Conacher Award, which is named after the multi-sport champion chosen as the top athlete of the first half of the 20th century in 1950.

Golfer Brooke Henderson was awarded the Bobbie Rosenfeld Award as female athlete of the year on Wednesday for the third time. The sports team of the year will be named on Friday.

Earlier this month Kingsbury was also awarded the Toronto Star's Lou Marsh Award for top Canadian athlete.

"It's crazy to have had this much success," Kingsbury said. "It's an almost perfect season. My worst 2018 result was a second place."

"Compared to other sports, like tennis, it's as if I won all the Grand Slam finals."

Nobody in moguls like Mikael

Kingsbury dominates his sport.

In January 2018 Kingsbury set a new record for World Cup wins with his 47th victory. He has 52 victories in 93 starts.

"I kind of feel like I have an aura around me. Without saying I intimidate the other competitors due to my repeated success, I have a great confidence in my abilities, I make few errors and that lets me find little advantages over them," he said.

"But I know I have a big target on my back and they all want to beat me. I've been first in the world for seven years, and every year there are those who say, 'Kingsbury, we're going to push him aside.' It makes the competition even more interesting."

And even if he's won everything, don't expect him to relinquish his throne. Kingsbury says there's still plenty to motivate him.

"I love to win and I still want to win, but my motivation isn't necessarily found in results," he said. "I'm aiming above all to reach my full potential, to innovate in my sport, to try new jumps. I want to see how far I can go."

"While perfection doesn't exist in my sport, my goal is to get as close as possible to it and to push the limits, in speed as well as the execution of my jumps."

Google has introduced a new feature to Maps that will make business reviews more useful. Now, users who leave reviews for local establishments can include hashtags in their write-ups and readers can tap those hashtags to find other businesses with reviews using that same tag. Google told TechCrunch that the feature was rolled out to Android devices about a week ago, but there’s no word yet on when it might arrive on iOS or the web.

The company is suggesting reviewers include up to five hashtags in their posts and that they should be listed at the end of the review. It also notes that reviewers should use specific hashtags like #vegetarian, #goodforselfies, #sunsetviews and #wheelchairaccessible rather than generic terms like #love or #food.

This is just the latest feature to roll out to Google Maps. Recently, Google also began storing user conversations with businesses on Maps, introduced the ability to follow businesses, added functions for groups and ETA sharing and launched a commute tab.

Epic Games has landed a major partnership for Fortnite — it’s bringing the National Football League into the fold. Starting Friday at 7PM ET, you’ll be able to buy NFL team outfits from the Battle Royale Item Shop, which you can customize with any of the NFL’s 32 team uniforms (as well as a Fortnite team) and add your own squad number from 1-99. The NFL cosmetics don’t stop there, as there will be gliders. emotes and resource harvesting tools with a football theme, while you can also pick up a referee outfit.

While it’s the first instance of Epic adding branded outfits to the game, this is not the first time it’s forged a partnership with other companies for Fortnite. Earlier this year, it teamed up with Marvel to add a limited-time mode where you could play as the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s big bad, Thanos.

BOWEL cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in the UK, but the risk of developing the disease can be reduced by making some diet changes. Adding more of this to your diet can help lower the risk of getting symptoms.

Bowel cancer is a general term for cancer that begins in the large bowel.

Depending on where the cancer starts, bowel cancer is sometimes called colon or rectal cancer.

Bowel cancer is one of the most common types of cancer diagnosed in the UK, mostly affecting people over the age of 60.

Symptoms of the disease can include changes in bowel habits, blood in the stools and persistent abdominal pain.

While there’s no way to completely eradicate the chance of getting bowel cancer, it is possible to reduce the risk by making certain diet changes.

One type of food which can help lower the risk of getting bowel cancer, is fibre.

“Fibre is an important part of a healthy diet and helps reduce your risk of bowel cancer,” said Bowel Cancer UK.

Fibre is important because it keeps everything moving easily through the digestive system.

There are two types of fibre: insoluble and soluble.

Insoluble fibre bulks up poo and helps it move through the gut more quickly, which can help prevent constipation.

Good sources of insoluble fibre include wholegrains such as brown rice, wheat and spelt as well as nuts, seeds, potatoes in skins and dried figs.

Soluble fibre dissolves in water and forms a gel in the gut, helping keep poo soft and making it easier to pass.

Soluble fibre can also help lower cholesterol levels.

Good sources of soluble fibre include oats, barley, beans, peas, lentils, chickpeas, apples and carrots.

UK health guidelines recommend eating at least 30g of fibre a day.

Fruit and vegetables are a very good source of fibre, but also contain antioxidants, which can also help protect against bowel cancer.

This is because antioxidants help to delay or prevent cell damage, according to Bowel Cancer UK.

“Try to eat at least five portions of vegetables and fruit every day,” said Bowel Cancer UK.

“If you want to increase the amount of fibre in your diet, you should do so slowly, especially nuts and beans.”

“If you find too much fibre causes pain, wind or bloating, reduce it by a small amount until your body adjusts and gradually increase it over time.”

Instagram has yet another answer to Snapchat, but this time it’s covering one of the basics: namely, adding friends. Months after it started testing, the social network has introduced “nametags” that make friend additions as simple as pointing your camera at a code, much like Snapcodes. Once you’ve created a nametag (complete with colors, emojis and selfies), your soon-to-be pal just has to launch the camera and hold down on the screen when the tag is in view. From there, they’ll receive options to either follow straight away or view the profile. You can share nametags with others through text messages or other social platforms if you’re trying to build as wide an audience as possible.

Nametags are available now on Android and iOS.

That’s not the only expansion taking place. Instagram is also testing a school communities feature that encourages you to join a college or university group and flaunt your academic history, including the school itself, class year and activities (such as your frat/sorority or sports team). You can also go to a directory of people who’ve added their school affiliations and connect with them. We can see the potential for some annoyances — creeps could this as an unofficial dating directory. Still, it could be helpful if you’ve bonded well with classmates and want to see them in your Instagram feed.

The school feature is limited to testing in “some” US universities, but it should reach more institutions sometime in the “coming weeks.”

Microsoft’s Movies & TV app for Windows 10 and Xbox now supports the Movies Anywhere service. And for a limited time, if you add your Microsoft account to the Movies Anywhere app, you’ll get a free film.

Movies Anywhere, originally launched by Disney in 2014, brings together movies you’ve bought from a wide range of content providers, including Amazon Video, Google Play, iTunes, and Vudu. Rather than having to hunt through different apps (and even different devices) to figure out which service you bought a given film from, Movies Anywhere, means all your films will show up in one app and the app can run on a wide range of devices. The Movies Anywhere app also supports buying from any service that you’ve connected.

Movies Anywhere movies will show up within Microsoft’s Movies & TV apps, even if they were bought on competing platforms. At least, so long as you live in the US, because “anywhere” does not actually mean “anywhere.”
