“And I do want to emphasise as well Ruth, this money, I speak to organisations every single day and I’ve spent a lot of time in recent weeks as well pressing this in government and directly with the organisations – the domestic abuse commissioner, the victim commissioner and the frontline charities themselves. “This is the resource they have asked for, we are getting the money to them, we’ve been working with them, the police are also part of this national effort as well,” she continued. Patel added: “I speak to police every single day as part of our operational discussions because of covid, and it’s clear right now we are seeing a small uptick from a policing perspective. “But because people are stuck at home – trapped at home – they [domestic abuse victims] are using other means of communication, such as the helpline, such as the online services to seek support. Outlander has successfully combined a fantasy setting with real-life events. Over the first four seasons time traveller Claire Fraser (played by Caitriona Balfe) was tasked with enduring a few bloody battles in Scotland, and constant oppression for being a woman in the 1700s. Perhaps the worst scene of the show was Brianna Fraser’s (Sophie Skelton) rape, which had a lasting effect on her emotionally, and physically. Season five is going to delve into the Outlander book franchise’s fifth book, which is titled The Fiery Cross. However, as the show has been moving at breakneck speed so far, viewers believe the fifth book will only last a portion of the fifth season, and will eventually encroach into the sixth book, A Breath of Snow and Ashes. Now, as fans look deeper into the promotional material provided for the fifth season, they have come to the conclusion it will include a dramatic and horrifying scene which sees Claire being raped while in captivity. Speaking out on Reddit, wheeler1432 wrote: “I have read indications that there might be some of the sixth book in season five. READ MORE: Outlander: Why did writers make big Jamie Fraser second wife change? “I have read that Diana [Gabaldon] wrote the penultimate episode. Therefore, my theory is that the penultimate episode of the season will be Claire’s rape from ABOSAA [A Breath of Snow and Ashes].” It certainly is true that Diana Gabaldon has personally written the penultimate episode of season five, and it would make sense for her to become more involved in the show for such a gigantic scene. The scene in question sees Claire being captured by a group of men, including a man named Donner, another time traveller. This scene will certainly be a harrowing experience for Claire if it is going to happen, and already some fans are not happy about the show including such scenes. One replied: “Another rape? I love the show, but at what point is it creepy to have so many sexual assaults used as a plot device on one show?” Another said: “I think it might be too. I just got past that part of the books yesterday and it was awful. “If anyone is going to be the writer for the episode covering that I really hope it is Diana and it can be handled with as much dignity & care as possible… particularly the aftermath and her recovery. “The events themselves are going to be incredibly gut wrenching to watch but what always brings me back to Outlander is the strength of the characters and how they don’t shy away from really dealing with trauma.” If this does happen in the show, fans will certainly be in for a horrific few scenes showing Claire dealing with the aftermath of the tragic events. Meanwhile, fans have also become suspicious the fifth season will begin the end of Claire and Jamie Fraser’s (Sam Heughan) journey on the show. Season five introduces Claire and Jamie’s first house on Fraser’s Ridge. This house is, as fans know, the supposed resting place of the couple after a fire kills them at some point in the future. Brianna first gleaned this information in the future when she found an obituary showing her parents’ death. The obituary read: “It is with grief that the news is received of the death by fire of James Mackenzie Fraser and his wife in a conflagration that destroyed the home and the settlement of Fraser’s Ridge.” Although it would be unlikely for the characters to be killed off in season five, it could certainly light the spark of the storyline which will eventually bring the characters to their untimely end. Outlander season 5 premieres on Starz on February 16, 2020, and the next day on Amazon Prime Video. Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield spoke to Nick and Eva Speakman today as the This Morning therapists and life-coaches opened up on their own lives. Eva bravely opened up about her experience with domestic abuse from a former partner. Eva was fighting tears throughout the chat as she recalled the harrowing life she had before she met Nick. Speaking about an unnamed ex, Eva explained how her abuse started verbally, but quickly turned violent. She recalled seeing a “look” in her former partner’s eye and she would know he would attack her. Eva went on to explain how the final straw in her relationship was when she went round to her parents’ house and he followed her. Yasmeen (played by Shelley King) was revealed to be the victim of a harrowing coercive control storyline on Coronation Street earlier this year when it became clear her partner Geoff (Ian Bartholomew) wasn’t the nice guy he made himself out to be. Since the storyline was announced, Geoff’s abuse of Yasmeen has involved taking control of her finances, playing mind games and isolating her from her family. Although the plot is set to play out for some time yet, viewers of the ITV soap will be left wondering how Yasmeen’s ordeal could come to an end. With Geoff seeming the master manipulator, his cruellest act of control yet could be to land Yasmeen behind bars. Following a robbery which he staged at the Nazir household, Geoff told Yasmeen he would take care of the insurance pay out to take the stress of her shoulders. When the money came through in recent scenes, Geoff set about getting CCTV cameras installed in the house to give Yasmeen a greater sense of security, so he said, but it was revealed he was using them to spy of his estranged partner. After emotionally abusing Yasmeen, making her feel worthless, Geoff split from his partner, but it doesn’t mean her ordeal is over quite yet. Upcoming episodes will see Geoff lead Yasmeen astray as he tells her he’s suffering health problems, which leads her to believe her estranged partner has cancer. It’s yet to be seen whether Yasmeen discovers Geoff is lying and there is actually nothing wrong with him but if she does discover the truth, it’s likely she will want answers. However, being the controlling character he is, Geoff will see Yasmeen’s confrontation as an act of betrayal and come up with a plan to get revenge on her by getting her in trouble with the law; leading to possible jail time. READ MORE: Coronation Street spoilers: ‘Not a lot to live for’ Is Gary Windass set to murder again? Geoff could do this by revealing to the insurance company the robbery was a set up and with Yasmeen’s name on the deeds, she could be in serious trouble. Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, senior solicitor at Stowe Family Law Kaleel Anwar explained how Yasmeen could get on the wrong side of the law. Asked if there was a way Yasmeen could be painted as the one in the wrong, Kaleel said: “Yes, if she were to ‘partake’ in being untruthful and lying to companies/organisations etc to keep him happy, or to keep things at bay with her personal life.” If the police were to receive a report from the insurance company about the fraudulent claim, Yasmeen could be arrested, with Geoff doing little to help her out of her rut. Will Yasmeen’s ordeal ever end if she’s jailed for something she didn’t do? With her grandmother behind bars, Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) could do some digging of her own with regards to Geoff. If she were to discover Geoff had lied about the robbery and was going to help Yasmeen, Alya may realise her grandmother’s estranged partner has been controlling her. Alya could try to convince Yasmeen they need to report Geoff to the police so she can walk free and end her ordeal at the hands of her abuser. Kaleel added however: “Until Yasmeen is ready to press charges this isn’t really going to solve the problem.” Knowing how manipulative Geoff can be, will Yasmeen accept her fate and decide not to follow up her granddaughter’s hopes of her walking free from jail? Coronation Street continues Monday at 7.30pm on ITV. The two-part doc, aired on Channel 4 in the UK and HBO in the US, showed two men – Wade Robson and James Safechuck – describing sexual abuse they allegedly suffered at the hands of Jackson when they were children. The production, directed by Dan Reed, has resulted in a huge discussion about Jackson’s legacy, and his songs have been pulled off-air by several radio stations. Still, it seems his sales have not been negatively impacted in the UK, despite reports to the contrary in the US. In this week’s UK album chart, Jackson’s Number Ones album shoots up 33 places from No61 to No28. It’s the record’s first time in the Top 40 since last November; and its 386th chart week since its 2003 release. Further down the listings, his The Essential set is a re-entry at No97; its first appearance in the Top 100 since last September. Interestingly neither album is in the sales-only version of the chart – indicating that it was streaming that sent them skywards. Indeed, on the streaming-only version of this week’s rundown, Number Ones is at No20 (up from 37), The Essential is at No82, and Bad is at No91. Leaving Neverland was reportedly watched by around two million viewers when it aired in the UK. Reed said ahead of its transmission: “If there’s anything we’ve learned during this time in our history, it’s that sexual abuse is complicated, and survivors’ voices need to be listened to. “It took great courage for these two men to tell their stories and I have no question about their validity. “I believe anyone who watches this film will see and feel the emotional toll on the men and their families and will appreciate the strength it takes to confront long-held secrets.” Tom Porter, Channel 4 Commissioning Editor, added: “Dan Reed has succeeded in making an extraordinarily compelling, yet moving film about two men whose lives were changed forever by one of the most famous men who ever lived. “Channel 4 is immensely proud to have commissioned this film and created the opportunity for James’ and Wade’s experiences to be so sensitively told.” TV shows such as Strictly Come Dancing and The X Factor are reported to have vowed not to use Jackson’s songs in any performances going forward. The Simpsons, meanwhile, has pulled the episode Stark Raving Dad from circulation.

Staff at Hacienda HealthCare were reportedly unaware the woman was even pregnant “until she was pretty much giving birth,” a source familiar with the situation told KPHO. “From what I’ve been told she was moaning. And they didn’t know what was wrong with her.”
The baby, a healthy boy, was delivered on December 29.
The mother has “lived” at Hacienda ever since a near-drowning incident left her brain-damaged over 14 years ago. She requires 24-hour care, meaning many of the facility’s staff would have had access to her room, and is incapable of communication or voluntary movement.
Since the birth, Hacienda has adopted a policy requiring female employees to accompany male employees to female patients’ rooms, most likely mandated by the Arizona Department of Health Services, which said in a statement that it has implemented “heightened safety measures” that include “increased staff presence during patient interactions” as well as increased surveillance of patient care locations.
A Hacienda spokesperson said the facility was cooperating with law enforcement and regulatory agencies on the “unprecedented matter,” as well as reviewing its own “processes, protocols, and people.”
Hacienda nearly lost its Medicare funding in December 2013 after ADHS found at least one staff member was abusive to multiple patients while several staff members were deficient in reporting patient allegations of abuse by staff. One staff member had been fired for making repeated inappropriate sexual comments to patients. Hacienda was given a year to correct the “defects” in staff training and staff treatment of patients or be dropped from the Medicare roster, and they reported they had done so less than a month later.
Hacienda has a one-star rating – “much below average” – on Medicare.gov, the official database of programs affiliated with the government-funded healthcare program.

The Manchester City winger was subjected to verbal abuse from Chelsea fans yesterday as his side lost 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.
As Sterling retrieved a ball near the advertising boarding, a collection of Chelsea fans shouted vitriolic words at the 24-year-old.
One fan appears to shout ”f**king black c**t, f**k off” towards Sterling, while another is alleged to have yelled “f**k you, you c**t”.
The video capturing the abuse quickly spread on social media and Sterling confronted the issue in a post on Instagram on Sunday morning.
Alongside a picture of two MailOnline articles which reported two Manchester City players – one white, one black – buying houses for their mums in contrasting lights, Sterling wrote: “Good morning I just want to say, I am not normally the person to talk a lot but when I think I need my point to heard I will speak up.
“Regarding what was said at the Chelsea game as you can see by my reaction I just had to laugh because I don’t expect no better.
“For example you have two young players starting out there careers both play for the same team, both have done the right thing.
“Which is buy a new house for there mothers who have put in a lot of time and love into helping them get where they are, but look how the newspapers get their message across for the young black player and then for the young white payer.
“I think this in unacceptable both innocent have not done a thing wrong but just by the way it has been worded. This young black kid is looked at in a bad light.
“Which helps fuel racism an aggressive behaviour, so for all the news papers that don’t understand why people are racist in this day and age all I have to say is have a second thought about fair publicity an give all players an equal chance.”
And an array of Premier League stars have supported Sterling’s message.
City team-mates Phil Foden, who was the subject of one of the articles cited by Sterling, Ederson and Kyle Walker all commented with clapping emojis, as did Leicester winger Demarai Gray, Brighton defender Leon Balogun and Bournemouth striker Josh King.
Former team-mate Jadon Sancho commented with a praise emoji, as did Stoke’s Saido Berahino and Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang replied “Real talk,” with a clapping emoji, while Yannick Bolasie posted a similar message.
Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum said “Respect”, while City colleague Fabian Delph posted “Well said brother”.
Wycombe striker Adebayo Akinfenwa proclaimed “Spot on fam. We are one world” while former Manchester United winger Memphis Depay and ex-Tottenham midfielder responded with first bump emojis.
Rio Ferdinand, whose brother Anton was the subject of alleged racial abuse from John Terry in 2011, posted the video of the abuse, his caption reading: “Are we going to continue to allow this type of racist behaviour go on???
“All for kicking a ball!”
