Call of Duty Black Ops 4 update 1.09 is a big one for both the game and the fans of all platforms.

PC players were left waiting for the new patch longer than their counterparts on PS4 and Xbox One.

But now the big Black Ops 4 1.09 update has arrived on Battle Net, providing new changes to the game.

Treyarch has yet to release the full PC patch notes but has confirmed they hope to do this later today.

“Title Update 1.09 on PC is now available! Look for detailed patch notes from @Treyarch later today,” a message from the COD development team reads.

“This week’s #Blackout armour redesign includes a new Repair Armor keybind for PC players!

“Assign this new action to your preference under the Game Mode Specific section. New players, or those who choose to reset keybinds, will have Repair Armor bound to Q.”

It should be noted that while there will be plenty of new changes included in update 1.09, PC players do not yet have access to all the new Operation Absolute Zero content.

This is available on PS4 for the remainder of this week, with PC and Xbox One gaining access on December 18.

Here’s is what Treyarch has said so far about the new update: “First up, Multiplayer: We’ve added Nuketown Custom Games, improved melee and Purifier reliability, reduced Titan effectiveness, updated transition stages for Diamond and Dark Matter camos, improved stability, and made several other quality-of-life updates to the game. Read on below for the full list.

“We’ve also made fundamental design changes to the map, audio, and Armor in Blackout with this update, including adjustments to the SDM and Spitfire to better balance out the weapon classes, environmental changes to key destinations around the map, and more. See the Blackout section of our patch notes below and jump into the game to find out what’s new across the entire Blackout map, just in time for the holidays.

“Our 1.09 update marks the launch of the first of this week’s three new Zombies features with the addition of Daily Tier Skip credit for Zombies! With this update, Zombies players can now earn a bonus Black Market Tier skip by completing 15 rounds in one match of Classic Zombies. We’ve also implemented new high-round fixes in Zombies as we gear up for more new content coming this week, as well as fixes for specific crashes that could occur across each of our four current maps. This is our initial wave of fixes targeted at high-round play, and should result in a smoother Zombies experience for all players.”

“Finally, a follow-up for our Blackout players in lower-population regions, including parts of South America, South Africa, and the Middle East: we’re currently directing players in these regions into rotating Featured playlists to optimize matchmaking and reduce time in lobbies. We’ve heard your feedback, and we’re continually evaluating performance closely to provide the best possible play experience in all regions.”

Call of Duty Black Op 4 is getting a big update today which has just arrived on PS4.

Xbox One and PC players may have to wait for an extra 24hrs, or perhaps another week, for update 1.09 to arrive, as this is usually what happens with major patches.

From what has been shared so far by Treyarch, Blackout Mode will be one of the main focal points for the new Black Ops 4 update.

Here’s what the development team has said so far about the new patch:

“Players will immediately notice the map’s new visual updates as soon as they jump out of the helicopter, from seasonal changes in foliage and softer winter lighting to new smoke trails to better indicate where everyone is dropping.

The new Call of Duty update weighs in at 15.3GB on PS4 consoles.

“Subtle environmental improvements are also coming to Nuketown Island, Hydro Dam, and Factory – see if you can spot what’s new on Monday, and watch for our patch notes with more details on these updates next week.”

Official patch notes for the Call of Duty update will be shared in the coming hours and will include all the latest up to date information for fans.

“Once you make it to dry land, hop into the new ARAV armored vehicle with a friend and light up your foes with its turret-mounted machine gun. Players can also drop in as Zero after unlocking her, or as one of the four zombie-killing gladiators from IX after finding and completing the brand-new set of Blackout Zombies Character Missions.”

Operation Absolute Zero: Multiplayer

Operation Absolute Zero is set to include new DLC content for the game first on the PlayStation platform, followed by others.

It introduces the first new post-launch Specialist: Zero, a versatile and deadly hacker available in both Multiplayer and Blackout.

“In Multiplayer, Zero can disrupt and distract her enemies using the powerful hacking tools at her disposal, bringing new counteractive measures to the table in Black Ops 4. Players can unlock Zero by completing Tier 1 in the newly revamped Black Market and immediately start testing out her wonderful new toys.”
