Dominic Grieve was warning about the consequences of a no deal when both Nigel Farage and Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan clashed with him. Former Ukip leader Farage claimed the objectives of the referendum were clear to leave both the single market and customs union. Conservative MP and former Attorney General Mr Grieve stepped in, warning about the consequences of Britain leaving without a deal.

He said: “It is useless talking in those terms.

“If you are really going to crashing out with absolutely no deal, people can’t take the plane the following day.”

The remark sparked a furious row with Farage bursting out shouting “for goodness sake”, followed by adding: “grow up!”

host Mr Morgan stepped in claiming concerns over aviation post-Brexit were a “myth”.

He said: “I had breakfast with somebody who runs one of the major airlines in this country who told me it is complete nonsense.

“It is a myth. It is as true as the £350million a week on the bus, it is a scaremongering myth. Planes would not stop flying.”

Conservative MP Mr Grieve replied: “I’m sorry, it’s wrong.”

Former Ukip leader interrupted again asking whether Britons would “starve as well” and whether “drinking water would be no good”.

Mr Grieve snapped back: “Either you get peripheral deals, which you may get very easily. If you are really talking about crashing out with absolutely no agreement of anything at all there will be lots of things which will happen, which people don’t want.

“I don’t want to talk about the Armageddon, what I want to talk about is some rational way forward.

“Nigel simply saying ‘Leave means Leave means Leave’, does not answer the question.”

The debate comes following Prime Minister Theresa May opting to postpone the meaningful vote on her Brexit agreement in fear of a humiliating defeat.

Mrs May spoke with her cabinet colleagues via a conference call on Monday before later addressing the Commons and announcing the delay. Speaking in the Commons, Mrs May asked MPs the fundamental question: “Does this House want to deliver Brexit?”

Up to 100 Conservative MPs were reportedly considering voting against the Prime Minister’s agreement, with many angry at the backstop element of the Withdrawal Agreement which threatens to keep the UK tied into the EU’s customs union indefinitely.

SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon urged Jeremy Corbyn to call a motion of no confidence in the Government and for them to team up to resolve Brexit for the UK.

She tweeted: “So Jeremy Corbyn – if Labour, as official opposition, lodges motion of no confidence in this incompetent government tomorrow, the SNP will support & we can then work together to give people the chance to stop Brexit in another vote. This shambles can’t go on – so how about it?”

The Prime Minister travelled to Europe on Tuesday to try to gain concessions from the bloc on her EU deal. Mrs May will have another chance to make her case during an EU leaders summit on Thursday.

President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker tweeted: “I will meet Theresa May this evening in Brussels. I remain convinced that the #Brexit deal we have is the best – and only – deal possible. There is no room for renegotiation, but further clarifications are possible.”

A British Airways flight due to leave Paris on Sunday was evacuated and held on the tarmac over security concerns. Police later said the incident was a false alarm. The UK is on high alert following Friday’s terrorist attack in London.

Flight BA0303 to London Heathrow, due to leave Paris at 7:25am local time Saturday, was delayed by over three hours and evacuated, as security teams searched the plane.

“The incident is being dealt with,” an official said during the security response, as cited by Reuters, but did not provide further details.

“The safety and security of our customers and crew is always our top priority,” a British Airways spokesperson told the Independent. “Additional security checks are being carried out as a precaution. We would never operate a flight unless it is safe to do so.”

The flight had been scheduled to land in Heathrow at 7:45am local time, but is now expected at 11:05am.

After searching the flight and its passengers, police said the alert was a false alarm.

Also Sunday, the Metropolitan Police confirmed a second arrest in their investigation into Friday’s terrorist attack on the London tube.

An improvised explosive device partially detonated on a train at the Parsons Green station on the District line, injuring 29 people. Prime Minister Theresa May later announced that the threat level has been raised to its highest, ‘critical.’

An 18-year-old man was arrested in Dover on Saturday in connection with the attack.

The 24-year-old artist had her work exhibited in Venice and was filmed by BBC Two for their documentary Venice Biennale: Sink or Swim.

A spokesperson for the broadcaster told The Mirror that the show, which was due to air tonight at 7.30pm, would not be shown “for obvious reasons”.

Khadija, who was a resident on the 20th floor of the building in West London, recently gushed about the opportunity to be a part of the documentary.

According to the publication, she emailed Creative Access, which helps young black and minority ethnic people get started in the creative industries and aided Khadija by finding her an internship early in her career, updating them on the recent development.

Just two weeks ago, she reportedly wrote: “Just a quick update on life! I’m part of an exhibition currently on show at the Venice Biennale, and the Contemporary Arts Society did a review on it.

“There will be a BBC2 programme on the exhibition airing mid-June and I’ve been featured int he documentary as being the only artist under 30.”

The Contemporary Arts Society gave her work a stunning review, calling her photography “wonderfully strange” and “bearing heavy emotional freight”.

Khadija’s career appeared to be burgeoning on the edge of recognition when her life was tragically cut short by the horrific incident at Grenfell Tower on Wednesday morning.

Last month she shared her joy at being a part of the exhibition on Diapora in Venice, posting a Facebook status that read: “It’s been a real journey, tears shed, highs and lows, but mama, I’m an artist exhibiting at the Venice Biennale and the blessings are abundant!”

She is thought to have been in her flat with her mother Mary Mendy when the fire broke out and her death was confirmed by friend and Tottenham MP David Lammy yesterday when he took to Twitter, saying: “May you rest in peace Khadija Saye. God bless your beautiful soul.

“My heart breaks today,” he continued. “I mourn the tragic loss of a wonderful young woman.”
