Susannah Constantine has proudly flaunted her weight loss after losing pounds while taking part in a diet and fitness regimen for Sport Relief.
The former What Not To Wear star, 55, is thrilled that she weighs less than her on-screen partner, Trinny Woodall, for the first time.
The TV star undertook various gruelling challenges over 10 weeks and, as a result, lost one and a half stone.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Susannah admitted she had been unaware of how much weight she had put on in recent years.
When she was shown a photo of her fuller figure, she said: “What a fat… look at it! It’s a walking disaster. I look older than my 55 years, I’m a tug boat!
“You’re deluded, you can look at yourself in the mirror and think, “My god, I’m Elle Macpherson” when you’re actually a tug boat.”
When asked how it felt to be slimmer than her close friend Trinny, Susannah replied: “I wouldn’t say slimmer… lighter. Which is quite an achievement because I’m three inches shorter than her and my boobs are five times bigger.”
She added: “I don’t see her as my yard stick though.”
Susannah lost the weight doing various challenges for Famously Unfit… For Sport Relief, alongside Les Dennis, EastEnders actress Tameka Empson and Radio 4 News Quiz host Miles Jupp.
The 10-week challenge included rowing on the Thames with James Cracknell and training with the Saracens Women rugby team.
She also walked 10,000 steps a day and limited her sugar, alcohol and carbohydrate intake to just one serve a day.
As a result, Susannah dropped a stone and a half in three months.
“To top it all, I’ve had to swim through gallons of mud for the toughest and most barking mad endurance race in the country – all televised in humiliating detail in the name of Sport Relief,” she added.
The once-curvy star revealed that her decision to shift the pounds came when she saw an unflattering photo of herself in a magazine last year.
“There in front of me was a photographic portrait of someone large who turned out to be me. It was not at all flattering. Floaty frock or no floaty frock… I was a fat hippo.”
Susannah told The Mail on Sunday’s You magazine that for the first time ever, she enjoys weighing herself. “Suddenly it’s a joy to step on the scales. I weighed 11st 12lb when I started all this, now I’m a healthy 10st 6lb.”
