Strictly Come Dancing 2017: Simon Rimmer screams in AGONY after shock backstage attack

The Sunday Brunch star has been busy practising for his performance of the Waltz but it seems the professional dancer wasn’t too impressed with his progress.

Speaking in a behind-the-scenes clip shown on spin-off show It Takes Two, Karen explained: “The Waltz is not an easy dance. It is one of the most difficult dances that we have.”

She could then be heard warning Simon not to straighten his leg during one training session, joking that she would inflict pain on him if he failed to listen to her instructions.

After Simon ignored Karen’s advice, she grabbed his right leg before biting down and leaving him shouting out in shock.

Talking about his fears ahead of week two, the 54-year-old commented: “Relating the mental to the physical is tough.

“It is going to be working myself into a frazzle by Saturday to get there.”

Meanwhile, It Takes Two viewers were left baffled as during his training video.

The star opened up about his rehearsal for the Quickstep, which he will be performing to Last Nite by The Strokes, but fans were distracted by the Two show’s titles.

The series appeared to have gotten his performances mixed up as the graphics read: “Davood & Nadia. Viennese Waltz.”

The awkward blunder was instantly picked by those tuning in at home, with one fan tweeting: “David’s dancing the quickstep this week but it confused me because #ItTakesTwo displayed the wrong graphic! #Strictly @bbcstrictly.”

: It Takes Two airs weekdays on BBC Two at 6.30pm, while Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 6.45pm on BBC One.
