Strictly Come Dancing 2017: Mollie King caught up in awkward wardrobe mishap live on air

The 35-year-old popstar and her professional partner AJ Pritchard, 22, joined host Zoe Ball, 46, in the studio to talk all things Strictly Come Dancing ahead of their cheeky Cha Cha during Saturday night’s Halloween special.

Mollie had her sexy outfit for the performance revealed live on the BBC show when costume designer Vicky Gill gave fans a sneak peek at what spooky treats are in store for them this weekend.

Standing in front of a mannequin which was hidden under shiny purple cloth, the blonde beauty admitted: “I’ve heard that it’s red and that’s all I know. Full on devil, I’m hoping.”

Vicky soon put an end to the suspense, trying to tear the cloth away to unveil Mollie’s costume as the Strictly hopeful exclaimed: “Give me the good stuff.”

However, Vicky appeared unable to unhook the sheet from the top of the mannequin, laughing as she struggled to overcome the blunder, saying: “Wardrobe malfunction!”

Luckily, she finally managed to reveal the ensemble, which turned out to be a breathtaking red catsuit embellished with glittering beaded tassels.

“Wow! I’m loving this,” Mollie gushed. “I’m loving how much it’s going to shake when I’m moving.”

“Mollie’s happy, AJ looks happy, Vicky’s happy,” Zoe concluded. “Can’t wait to see how it works out on the show on Saturday.”

Elsewhere in the show, Strictly choreographer Jason Gilkison confused viewers with his pronunciation of the word “fleckerl”, a term for a key step in the Viennese Waltz.

Jason appeared to call the move a “fleckril” instead, prompting one fan to tweet: “Fleckryl? I’ve been saying it wrong all this time.”

Strictly Come Dancing It Takes Two continues tomorrow at 6pm on BBC Two, while Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 6.35pm on BBC One.
