Appearing on tonight’s It Takes Two, the chart-topping singer opened up on her behind-the-scenes heart ache.

“Just before we went on I injured my left leg, my hip, so I was actually in excruciating pain during the dance and in the dance-off as well,” she told an alarmed looking Zoe Ball.

“I just thought to myself, ‘I need to go for it, no matter what.’”

This weekend, the star-studded line-up will try to impresses the judges with two dances, with Alexandra performing both a Salsa and the Viennese Walt.

Following her run of bad luck, she admitted: “I’m scared abut this week.”

“I’m definfiely excited but I’m definitely scared,” she said. “This week scares me but I’m up for the challenge.”

It’s been a tough week for Alexandra after she was forced to shut down reports of a backstage meltdown and a bust-up with Gorka Marquez, 27.

“Because it’s really hard to read lies. I have to say something… after the show on the weekend I actually WASN’T in the green room,” she stressed on Twitter.

“I was in the physio room treating an injury and then went home. NO meltdown… just happy that we made it through another week,” she added.
