Star Wars Solo leaks: Key plot details revealed? Connection to Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan Kenobi

Solo: A Star Wars Story is out in two months’ time, as the first anthology tale in the franchise since Rogue One in 2016.

A couple of key details have surfaced online over the weekend – firstly an unexpected, albeit tenuous, link to Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

A children’s book entitled Train Heist has gone up for sale on Amazon, as spotted by, showing Chewbacca and Han Solo riding the double-sided Conveyex locomotive.

The planet in which this all takes place is Vandor, hinting that we’ll be heading to that snow planet in Solo. Could it actually be where we saw Han, Chewie and Beckett in the trailer?

The link Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan is the fact that Vandor-3 was a planet that appeared in the set of novels Jedi Apprentice, published before Disney effectively pressed Reset on much of the canon. It’s where the two Jedi had trained in the run-up to The Phantom Menace.

So if this planet is canon once again, it’ll certainly be a nice touch to those who read the Jedi Apprentice series.

What’s more, some of Qi’ra’s (Emilia Clarke) backstory may also have surfaced.

Twitter user @yeahclarke shared an image of a toy version of younger Qi’ra, tying her to a “gang”.

“At 18 years of age, young Qi’Ra is already enmeshed in a life of crime, working for a gang on Corellia,” a synopsis read.

Could this gang be the Cloud Riders, again taken from the pre-canon Legends material?

These latest rumours follow a report earlier in the month that suggested iconic villain Jabba the Hutt would also be seen in Solo.

Answers will be confirmed when the movie finally hits cinemas.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is out on May 25.
