Star Wars 9 teaser trailer leak: ‘EMOTIONAL scenes’, Rey, Lando, Kylo and Knights of Ren

In two weeks, Star Wars Celebration in Chicago is expected to unveil the first Episode IX footage. Whether this will be a polished trailer or a selection of scens and images in not yet known. Most observers suspect there will be no shots of Luke, keeping the revelation of how exactly the fallen Jedi master will be shown under wraps for a later reveal. Billy Dee Williams’ return as Lando Calrissian is likely to be a part of the presentation on stage, as well as the footage shown. A new  leaks claims to descibe one scene with Lando, as well as Kylo Ren, Rey and the first look at Keri Russell’s mystery character.

Yes, these are leaks and Star Wars fans know they should be taken with a huge pinch of salt. However, this source also described Episode IX scenes months ago which closely correspond with the descriptions given by people who attended the Disney shareholders’ screening of Star Wars footage.

The new leak said: “Shot descriptions of the upcoming teaser trailer, specifically Rey wielding Anakin’s reforged lightsaber inside a cave with floating blue orbs around Rey. The music that goes with the footage is said to be very emotional.

“The next goes over Kylo Ren with his Knights behind him standing on a large stage in front of hundreds of Stormtroopers and dozen of red Stormtroopers in front, similar to when Hux made his speech on Starkiller Base in The Force Awakens.”

“Lastly, a detailed shot of Zori portrayed by Keri Russell activating a speeder and riding onto the distance towards a sunset on desert world that coud be Jakku or Tatooine in Episode 9.”

It should be noted that while Russell has finally confirmed her involvement in the movie, there has been no word on her character. Initial rumours placed her as either Mara Jade, Rey’s mother or one of Kylo’s Knights of Ren. The latest reports claim she is called Zori and is a bounty hunter.

With eight months still to go, there is plenty of time for more speculation as fans try to piece everything together.
