On Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, the moon will pass between our planet* and the sun, creating a total solar eclipse — and if you think we can’t find a way to relate that to television, you’re obviously a new TVLine reader. (Welcome, by the way.)
In truth, the whole “solar eclipse” thing is old hat for the small screen; some of our favorite shows have built memorable episodes around the astronomical phenomenon — and you don’t need any special glasses to watch ’em.
