While the X Factor UK may not have aired on ITV this year, it hasn’t stopped head judge and music mogul Simon Cowell making waves in the franchise overseas. That’s because today, Simon announced he’d be joining the line-up of judges for the fourth season of the singing contest in Israel.
In a statement obtained by Deadline, Simon expressed his excitement at the new role.
“Over the years The X Factor format discovered amazing talents from all over the world,
“I can’t wait to see what Israel have to offer.”
It’s the first mention of a return to work from Simon following back surgery earlier this year after an electric bike accident.

“Simon controls it – when does he want it to come back and how does he want it to come back? And hopefully, we can be part of that.”
Nevertheless, X Factor fans in Israel were quick to weigh in with their thoughts on Simon’s appointment.
One excited fan said on Twitter: “WEBSITES IN ISRAEL SAYING THAT SIMON COWELL IS GOING TO BE JUGDE IN X FACTOR HERE WTF JEUFURJFBWBXBS.”
“Simon Cowell we love you in Israel welcome! @SimonCowell,” a second added.
