Silent Witness 2018: Fans outraged by THIS change to the series: 'How dare they!'

The long-running TV drama made its BBC comeback and naturally became a huge topic of discussion amongst viewers on social media.

However, it was not the team’s latest case that got fans talking but the show’s new theme tune.

Silent Witness fans were left outraged when they discovered they could no longer sing along to the classic intro.

Some viewers took to Twitter to air their frustration, with one writing: “There’s a different arrangement to the #SilentWitness theme tune! I can’t sing my made-up words to it any more!”

“How dare they b****y change the singer on the Silent Witness theme tune and why they tryna change it up for?” (sic) added another.

A third commented: “No, no, no. One thing you don’t mess with is the #SilentWitness theme music.”

“What’s happened to the #SilentWitness theme tune? My dad and I have been practicing the high note all weekend, fuming!” complained a fourth.

In the first episode of the two-part series, the team began investigating the death of Livtar Singh (played by Adam Henderson Scott) who was found face down in a reservoir.

Also, Sally Vaughan (Emma Fielding) a friend of Dr Nikki Alexander (Emilia Fox) had vanished prompting the team to look into what had happened to her.

Who is responsible for Livtar’s death and Sally’s disappearance?

Silent Witness airs on BBC  One tonight at 9pm.
