Saturday Kitchen fans slam missing Matt Tebbutt’s ‘shouty’ replacement: ‘Christmas ruined’

Matt Tebbutt, who regularly fronts the popular BBC show, was replaced by Andi Oliver for the Christmas special, and she divided those watching at home.

The Great British Menu judge was urged to “stop shouting” by fans on Twitter, as she starred alongside Vivek Singh, Rick Stein and Susie Barrie, as well as guest Nina Wadia.

Others tweeted to ask where Matt, 43, was after being listed by the broadcaster as being on the festive instalment.

“@SaturdayKitchen gosh just turned on #saturdaykitchen @matt_tebbutt has changed a lot,” one user remarked.

Two others continued: “My Christmas is ruined – no @matt_tebbutt on @SaturdayKitchen this morning #SaturdayKitchen,” and: “#SaturdayKitchen it said @matt_tebbutt was on this morning… Where is he?”

“Love Andi but where’s Matt? #saturdaykitchen @SaturdayKitchen,” another person questioned, as many expressed their opinion online.

One tweet urged: “#saturdaykitchen stop shouting woman,” as one viewer agreed: “Must this lady shout? #saturdaykitchen.”

“Please tell the presenter to stop shouting… #SaturdayKitchen,” the posts continued, and: “I don’t know who this presenter is on #saturdaykitchen but she is making my ears bleed.”

However, others gushed about Andi, who also appears on The Big Eat and Food Glorious Food.

“@andisn16 is probably the best presenter on @SaturdayKitchen period! So natural with it, jokes, great banter, and on the spot questions. #Perfect. Make her permanent please and thank you! #SaturdayKitchen,” someone added.

And: “@andisn16 is making #saturdaykitchen a lot more fun than usual… And Pork Belly too! Mmmmmm.”(sic)

Saturday Kitchen Live returns next weekend at 10am on BBC One.
