Following their guest’s admission, Garraway remarked: “That is extraordinary,” before going on to ask why he thinks the Prime Minister hasn’t made contact with him.
Mr Khan replied: “I think it’s for the Prime Minister to explain why that is. I hope it’s not because he’s playing petty party politics.
“I put aside party differences to work with the Government,” he continued.
Express.co.uk have contacted a representative of Number 10 Downing Street for comment on Mr Khan’s claims.
Taking to Twitter, viewers were just as confused by the admission, with one writing: “Did I hear London Mayor Sadiq Khan correctly there – he hasn’t spoken to PM Boris Johnson since 10th May?? #GMB.”
Another added: “@SadiqKhan hasn’t spoke to @BorisJohnson since May. @fmwales included hasn’t spoke to him in March/May???? What are you doing Boris???? #GMB #Covid_19.”
