Robson and Jerome reunited on Tales from the Coast – and viewers were losing their minds

Presenter Robson Green was seen with his close friend and former Soldier Soldier co-star Jerome Flynn as the pair joined forces for a segment on the programme, which saw them sea kayaking.

A number of audience members of the ITV show took to social media in their excitement to see the pop powerhouse, who had several number one hits together, back together again.

“Was waiting on Robson & Jerome to sing “up on the roof” #gutted #TalesfromtheCoast,” posted one person on Twitter, making reference to a Robson and Jerome classic.

Another wrote on the micro-blogging platform: “Would love to see #Robson&Jerome making a new drama together.. #TalesfromtheCoast.”

While a third added: “I’m loving seeing Robson & Jerome together again after so long on #TalesfromtheCoast – I love their music and when they act together.”

Robson, 52, was off the shores of Pembrokeshire in South Wales to explore what the coast line had to offer and called on Jerome, 53, who lived in the area.

Shortly before the pair set off across the waves in the kayaks, Jerome was heard saying: “I’m a bit nervous, I’ve not done this before. Doing it with him, I’m a bit nervous.”

Robson quipped back: “It’s an accident waiting to happen! What could go wrong?”

The two were then seen making their way around Ramsey Island and taking in the stunning sights along the shoreline.

Robson & Jerome became a musical act in the mid-Nineties after the pair started together in the TV series Soldier Soldier.

They released an album comprising of covers and their version of Unchained Melody stayed at number one in the UK singles charts for seven weeks and sold over a million copies.

After they eventually went their separate ways, Jerome went on to star in a number of programmes including Game of Thrones and Ripper Street, while Robson presents Extreme Fishing and has a role in ITV period drama Grantchester.

Tales from the Coast with Robson Green continues on ITV on Tuesdays at 8pm.
