Rimac previews upcoming Tesla Roadster rival in stunning new teaser video

Rimac will launch its at the Geneva Motor Show 2018.

Ahead of the Geneva world debut, the car has been revealed in a new teaser trailer.

From the video the car is sporting a sumptuously sleek design, which is a refinement of the first generation car.

Previously the Croatian car manufacturer’s COO Monika Mikac had confirmed that a new Rimac would launch in 2018.

Mikac confirmed to Autocar that the car would be more comfortable and more expensive but also capable of even better performance than the first.

The new car has been described as a “true game-changer” and will feature a set of specs as blistering as the first generation car.

It will remain as a two-seater electric supercar but has gained a narrower front nose taper and gained a spoiler at the back.

While details of the car’s performance have been kept under wrap, it could be pretty special given how impressive the Rimac One was.

The One had a whopping 1,224bhp and 1599 Nm of torque which allowed it to sprint from 0-62 mph in 2.5 seconds.

Rimac will be looking to steal some of ’s thunder away with the new car which launches two years before the Roadster.

It would have to boast some outrageous specs to challenge the 620-mile range of the Tesla and not to mention that much discussed 0-60mph sprint time of 1.9 seconds.

By virtue of it being an electric supercar, the two will always be compared.

What is known is that the new Rimac will cost significantly more than the $ 200,000 price tag of the Roadster.

The car is likely to cost in excess of £1 million.

More versions of the Concept Two will be made with 100 models planned to go into production, which is significantly more than the eight Rimac Ones that were made.
