Red Dead Redemption 2 Online Battle Royale: How to play the Fortnite inspired game mode?

Red Dead Online has its own story-line to discover, missions to complete and the ability to explore Red Dead’s enormous map with a posse of up to eight other real-world players. The success of Fortnite is partly due to the popularity of the battle royale genre. And now Red Dead Online has its own battle royale-style mode called Make It Count.

These are the Showdown Series, Showdown Series Large, and Race Series.

Note: the Make It Count battle royale mode will not appear in the Race Series.

Players are then required to play matches until they are entered into a round of Make It Count.

There are two version of the Make It Count battle royale – where you are armed with a bow and arrow or equipped with throwing knives.

The Make It Count last-man-standing battles are comparatively small, with groups of either 16 or 32 players fighting to the death.

Characters can be dispatched with just one hit, and unlike many other battle royale games, players don’t spend any time looting or looking for better equipment.

This means every participant is more or less on an even playing field.

Make It Count takes place on one of three maps: Strawberry, Tall Trees and Stillwater Creek.

This edges players closer together, making deadly confrontation increasingly likely.

Like others in the genre, Make It Count offers a spectator mode after you are dispatched from the match.
