Reading and Leeds Festival 2017 line-up: Liam Gallagher among 90 more acts added

The former Oasis star will play Reading on Sunday 27 and Leeds on Friday 25 August.

Ash, Sløtface, Pvris, Vince Staples, Goldie, Bugzy Malone, Declan McKenna and Mura Masa are also on the bill, alongside pre-announced headliners Kasabian, Eminem and Muse.

Tim Wheeler of Ash said in a statement: “We’re very proud to announce an historic 10th appearance for Ash at the Reading festival.

“We first performed there in 1995 and our shows at the festival stand among our favourite shows that we’ve ever played, it’s always been a highlight of each year we’ve done it.

“Somewhere along the way we were promised a statue upon reaching our 10th appearance, so we’re looking forward to the grand unveiling in August!”

Sløtface added: “Just thinking of the fact that we’ll be on the same poster as Kasabian, Charli XCX, At The Drive In and Eminem is really exciting.

“We love the festival life in the UK and this is the biggest UK festival we’ve ever done, so this has to be amazing.”

Gallagher is set to release his debut solo album this year, which will presumably form the backbone of his own set.

The festival was previously criticised for its lack of females on this year’s line-up, with only one on the bill back in January, although this number has now risen as more acts have been announced.

As it stood then, only Against The Current had a female member in their midst. The rest were all either all-male groups or male soloists.

Tickets for Reading and Leeds are on sale now.
