Next week will see Sony announce the first official list of free PS4 games for 2019.
The PS Plus January 2019 lineup has yet to be revealed and probably won’t be announced until next week.
Sony PlayStation usually makes the big announcement on the last Wednesday of the month, meaning December 26, 2018.
There’s a chance the company will make an announcement a little earlier due to it being Boxing Day in the UK.
However, for now, we will stick to the schedule that has been used throughout 2018 by the company.
No leaks or rumours have been found yet, so it’s hard to predict exactly what will be included.
January 2018 saw a strong PS Plus lineup announced by Sony and the same could happen next month too.
Matching the quality of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Batman: The Telltale Series would certainly please PS4 gamers.
And while we may have to wait until next week to find out the full lineup, there is another big PS Plus bonus we already know about.
The PlayStation Store January sale has started and offers exclusive access to deals for PS Plus subscribers.
“Grab a bargain on action-packed blockbusters like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Battlefield V and God of War,” a message from Sony reads.
“Jump into the Fortnite phenomenon with savings on the Standard Founder’s Pack, create the perfect family in The Sims 4, or invite your nearest and dearest over for some FIFA 19 couch co-op.
“You can save up to 70% on a huge number of games.”
This will run until January 18 and will also see new games added to the list on January 4.
This will be just days after the new PlayStation Plus lineup is released, which is expected to land on January 1.
Another PS Plus, free games bonus, has also been released to fans in December 2018, providing a new cosmetic reward.
The new PlayStation Plus Fortnite skin is available to download now from the PlayStation Store and comes with other bundled items.
This isn’t the first time Epic Games and Sony have teamed up to offer special rewards, and it probably won’t be the last.
PS4 gamers with a PS Plus subscription can add the new cosmetic bundle to their accounts today, with no apparent timer attached.
So it appears that this deal will remain available for the foreseeable future, even if you don’t grab it today.
And if Battle Royale rewards aren’t your thing you can still download all the new games from the PS Plus December 2018 lineup.
Now live on the PlayStation Store, PS Plus subscribers can add a selection of PS4, PS3 and PS Vita titles to their digital collections, until the end of the month.
This includes SOMA and Onrush for PS4 fans, as well as Steredenn Steins; Gate on PS3, and finally, Iconoclasts on PS Vita + PS4 and Papers, Please for PS Vita.
