Princess Mary of Denmark – Australian royal STUNS in pink – taking style tips from Kate

Princess Mary of Denmark wowed the crowds at an Officers Gala Dinner, at Fredensborg Castle in Denmark this week.

The Australian-born royal, 45, wore a gorgeous floor length bright pink gown.

The one-shouldered gown featured a sash in a slightly darker hue. Princess Mary accessorised with a stunning, sparkling diamond broach.

The royal, who was born in Hobart, Australia, is married to Frederik, Crown Prince of Denmark.

The pair married in 2004, after they met during the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. Initially the princess had no idea she had been introduced to royalty.

The pair then had a long-distance courtship, until Mary made the move to Denmark in 2001.

Has Mary taken style inspiration from Kate Middleton in her stunning pink gown?

The Duchess of Cambridge has been known to also wear the stunning bright pink colour.

The colour flatters both women’s brunette hair and porcelain skin.

Kaye wore a striking £1,500 magenta coat when she was pregnant in 2015.

Mary also recently wore a dress very similar to Kate Middleton’s navy blue engagement dress, from fashion brand Issa.

She wore the gown at the UN Goalkeepers Global Awards Dinner at the Lincoln Centre in New York on September 19.

The two royal woman have been compared before, and Karl Lagerfeld called the women “royal sisters”.

Princess Mary looks eerily similar to Kate Middleton.

Royal news reports suggested that Princess Mary will announce her fifth pregnancy soon.

A ‘European royal expert’ said they heard the Princess was pregnant and the news would be “very exciting for Australians”, according to Australian weekly magazine New Idea.
