Paul Burrell is currently starring in the Australian version of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
While Australian viewers have been left in hysterics, UK fans of the royals are less than impressed.
Paul first revealed that the Queen blamed a horse when “accused of farting” by a royal guest.
“Imagine the picture,” he began. “I’m sat here, people are singing God Save The Queen, and the Queen and Prince Phillip are next to me.”
Paul went on to note that sitting next to the Queen was the Sultan of Bahrain and the pair were enjoying “a polite conversation”.
Sadly, they were interrupted when “a huge explosion of wind came from one of the horses in front”.
“The Queen leaned to Prince Phillip and said, ‘Do you think I should say something?’” Paul explained. “And he said, ‘Yes, do.’
“She leaned forward and touched the Sultan’s knee and said, ‘I’m terribly sorry about that awful noise,’ and she sat back.
“The Sultan leaned forward, touched the Queen’s knee and said, ‘That’s quite alright your majesty… I thought it was one of the horses.’”
He also opened up about Diana’s relationship with her mother, Frances Shand Kydd.
“Diana always thought it was her fault that mummy had left home,” he divulged. “She blamed herself.
“That’s where her anorexia started. She suffered with it all her life. She punished herself.”
Viewers took to social media to slam 59-year-old Paul’s revelations.
One viewer tweeted: “As if he couldn’t cash in on Diana more than he already has, hopefully he loses his passport and he stays there.”
“Paul Burrell!? Good lord! He does like to come out with Diana related stuff every now and again to seem relevant!” posted another.
A third raged: “Paul Burrell… are you fr***en kidding me?? Been cashing in on Diana for 20 yrs now!”
“Paul Burrell on his 100th reality show since Princess Di died,” wrote another.
One social media user even created a poll, asking: “Let’s start taking bets now, how long will it take Paul Burrell to drop Diana’s name when he gets to the camp and meets everyone?”
