Piers Morgan and Lord Prescott CLASH in most explosive GMB debate EVER: 'Are we done now?'

Appearing on the ITV show, the Labour party member was there to talk about Brexit, but ended up having a war of words with the hosts.

It all started when Morgan, 52, challenged Prescott about how the left-wing party has deviated from their electoral manifesto.

He started his comment explaining that he had “great respect”, something which angered the 79-year-old, who snapped back: “Don’t start the great respect, just disagree with me.”

Clearly not one to back down, Morgan speedily replied: “I didn’t mean great respect, you’re right – let’s get on with it.”

The argument only got more explosive throughout, as Prescott demanded to know how long the outspoken presenter intended to be in his GMB job, adding: “You don’t know how bl**dy long.”

Morgan was visibly shocked, replying: “I do know exactly how long I will be in this job, but it will be shorter if you keep swearing at this time in the morning.”

It didn’t stop Prescott, who made the same curse just moments later before getting involved in a very sticky moment with Morgan about the way they both answer personal questions.

When asked about his inability to provide a straight answer on whether he supports legal union strikes, Prescott became personal.

Morgan insisted: “What’s not helpful is people like you who profess to be a straight talker, simply refusing to give a simple answer.”

However, the Labour stalwart fought back: “When I asked you a straight question about phone tapping, you didn’t give a straight answer… It’s about where you stand.”

Not letting the personal comment get to him, Morgan replied: “Here’s the real world – it’s your inability to answer a straight question.

“It’s very telling and you can get as personal as you like, but it won’t hide that to viewers because you don’t want the headlines.”

Prescott ended by asking if they were “done”, before insisting that it is up to the electorate to decide on the quality of his answers, reminding Morgan that around 13 million supported the Labour manifesto during the last election.

Clearly bewildered by the end of the interview, Morgan told a stunned Reid: “We’ve just interviewed a wild animal, the great beast, the gorilla – Prezza.”
