On the heels of ABC’s Once Upon a Time releasing a photo of Emma in her wedding dress, TVLine presents a first look at the extremely lucky groom, Killian Jones aka Captain Hook (played by Colin O’Donoghue).
The Savior and the pirate are set to walk down the aisle and (possibly!) exchange I Do’s in the musical episode “The Song In Your Heart,” airing Sunday, May 7.
Once co-creator Kitsis summed up Hook’s look for the big day thusly: “One word. Velvet.” O’Donoghue elaborates further on the outfit, which is capped by a Burberry jacket, saying, “We wanted to go very classical with it. Eddy and Adam [Horowitz] really wanted a velvet jacket, while I wanted everything to feel like one of those old black-and-white musicals. [Costume designer] Eduardo [Castro] and his team once again did an amazing job!”
Describing Emma’s dress, Morrison shared on Instagram, “Just as Once Upon a Time pulls from fairy tales and literature, for the wedding, Eddy, Adam, Eduardo and I felt it would be wonderful to pull from the real life fairy tale of Grace Kelly. It is a dress that represents the elegance and simplicity of classic timeless strength mixed with the delicacy of femininity and vulnerability. It is the ultimate balance that Emma has been fighting for throughout the six seasons.”
