Ford’s attention-grabbing GT supercar is sailing into its second model year by celebrating yet another big moment in Ford’s racing history. After last year’s ’66 Heritage edition paid homage to Ford’s 1-2-3 Le Mans sweep in 1966, a new ’67 Heritage GT for 2018 wears special livery that is a tribute to the GT40 race car that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans a year later, piloted by Dan Gurney and A.J. Foyt.

The ’67 Heritage car proudly wears the victorious GT40 Mark IV race car’s red paint with white stripes, along with prominent #1 graphics on the hood and doors and a white “Ford” graphic on the rear fenders. Silver 20-inch wheels match the silver mirror caps, and the brake calipers are painted red. The Heritage edition also includes bits of exposed carbon fiber inside and out. Inside, red seatbelts and gray paddle shifters combine with special leather upholstery and red stitching details.

Like last year’s Heritage car, every 2018 GT so outfitted gets a serialized plate identifying it as one of the special-edition models. Ford says that “limited quantities” will be available, so don’t expect a large portion of the 250-unit production run for 2018 to wear this historic livery.
