Nintendo Switch games SHOCK as Zelda DLC goes live and new exclusive is revealed

The Game Awards 2017 had some top reveals planned, including some crackers for the Nintendo Switch games list.

The first was that the new Zelda Breath of the Wild DLC is now available to download and play.

The shock Nintendo Switch games news was confirmed live on stage by the development team, who eventually went on to claim the Game of the Year gong.

The Champions’ Ballad is the second DLC for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which was expected to launch before the end of 2017.

There were also some pretty big reveals during the new trailers that was shown during the Awards show, revealing Link riding a motorcycle around Hyrule.

Players will tackle a never-before-seen dungeon, defeat enemies using the One-Hit Obliterator, and explore new shrines in the new DLC.

The new Master Cycle Zero will be unlocked through game progression, which definitely beats walking.

Here’s more on the new content being launched today: “Nine new treasure chests have been added to Hyrule, each bearing a new piece of armor.

“These include armor based on previous The Legend of Zelda series games, such as the “Island Lobster Shirt,” “Zant’s Helmet,” “Phantom Ganon Armor” and more.

“The Ancient Bridle and Saddle can also be found in hidden chests.

“The Ancient Bridle will increase the number of spurs a horse can use to speed up, while the Ancient Saddle can make it so a horse can be hailed from far away.”

And that wasn’t the only shock of the night, as it was also revealed that the Bayonetta series would be launching on Switch.

And not just the first two games, but another is also currently in development as an exclusive too.

Bayonetta 1 and Bayonetta 2 are coming to Switch in a bundle, with the original game included as a digital download.

This new bundle will launch for Switch on February 16 and will be followed by Bayonetta 3 at a much later date.

“The Witch is back! The all new Bayonetta 3 is exclusively in development for Nintendo Switch,” a message from Nintendo confirms.

Bayonetta 3 is being developed by Platinum Games and does not currently have a release date.
