When is Mindhunter season 2 released on Netflix?
Gripping crime drama Mindhunter was renewed for a second season on Netflix late last year on the back of the success of the first run.
The David Fincher series was praised by fans and critics alike when it dropped on the streaming giant late last year.
Netflix have given no official release date as yet.
Season one was released in one go in October last year and production for the second run is currently underway, so fans can expect season two to be slated for an autumn 2018 release.
How many episodes are in Mindhunter season 2?
Season two of the FBI drama will contain 10 hour long episodes.
Leading season two again will be Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany in their standout roles as FBI agents Holden Ford and Bill Tench.
They will be joined by in the FBI’s Behavioural Science Unit by Professor Wendy Carr, played by Anna Torv.
Hannah Gross will be reprising her role as Holden’s girlfriend Debbie Mitford and Cotter Smith will be back as FBI chief Shepard.
What will happen in Mindhunter season 2?
The Atlanta Child Murders have been confirmed as a major season two storyline.
The horrific murders are based on real-life events which took place in Atlanta from 1979 to 1981, where at least 28 children, teenagers and adults, all of whom were African-American, were killed.
A 23-year-old local man called Wayne Williams was convicted for some of the killings but believed to be responsible for a lot more.
So it looks like Holden and Bill will be interviewing a character depicting this particular killer.
Fans have also been speculating that the so-called BTK Killer, or Dennis Radar, who murdered 10 people in Kansas between 1974 and 1991, could feature in season two.
Is there a trailer of Mindhunter season2?
There isn’t a full trailer yet but Netflix released a short teaser for season two.
The 15-second promo shows partial shots of Agents Ford and Tench against graphics similar to the show’s opening credits.
Netflix paired the announcement with the tweet: “We need to talk to more subjects.”
