Melania Trump wears THOSE stilettos to meet Emperor Akihito and wife in Japan

Melania Trump, 47, and her husband Donald Trump, 71, touched down in Japan late Saturday ahead of a 13-day trek through Asia.

A strong bond has been formed between the US President and the Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, as the pair discussed trade in an informal setting on a golf course on Sunday.

But today, Donald lashed out at the US trade relationship with Japan, saying it was “not fair and open” as he prepared for formal talks with his Japanese counterpart.

In their most recent appearance, Donald and Melania posed with the Japanese Emperor and Empress today.

Melania wore a navy midi length dress which revealed a flash of ankle.

It featured angel sleeves, a skinny belt which cinched in her waist and the skirt had a slight flare.

The First Lady kept her hair off her face by tying up her hair into a stylish messy bun at the nape of her neck.

Heavy eye-make up and pink lip gloss helped give Melania a polished look.

The outfit was finished off with a pair of metallic pointed toe stilettos, which made her tower above Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko.

Donald decided to match with his wife by opting for a navy suit.

Upon her arrival into Japan, Melania may have missed the fashion mark with her outfit choice.

The First Lady opted for an oversized wool coat with a striped pattern.

Its woollen material and flower embellishment did not flatter her slim frame.

She joined Mrs Akie Abe, the Japanese President’s wife, at the Mikimoto Ginza Main Store in Tokyo and the pair visited a flagship pearl shop.

The two women then discussed private matters away from the camera over tea and coffee.

Melania tweeted on the day: “Wonderful visit w/ Mrs. Abe today! Enjoyed conversation over tea & the cultural presentation on the history of pearls.”
