Melania Trump steps out in sexy leather boots to inspect the White House Christmas tree

Melania Trump, 47, the wife of US President Donald Trump, 71, was joined by her son Barron Trump, 11, as they inspected the 19.5-ft balsam Fir that will serve as the official White House Christmas tree this year.

Delivered by a horse and cart, the tree is a Wisconsin grown Fir provided by the Chapman family of Silent Night Evergreens.

The First Lady decided to get in the festive spirit with her choice of outfit choosing to wrap up warm in a red and navy check coat, worn resting on her shoulders.

She slipped on a bright red turtle neck top underneath and dark blue skinny jeans, and dressed up the outfit with a pair of patent black knee high boots.

Despite the chill in the Washington air, Melania looked bronzed and radiant, and her freshly blow dried locks and prestine baby pink manicure finished off the look.

Barron also dressed up for the occasion, appearing in a white shirt and navy suit, but kept it slightly more casual by not wearing a tie.

The tree will sit in the Blue Room of the White House and is expected to fill almost the entire room.

The Chapman family of Silent Night Evergreens, located in Endeavor, Wisconsin, were the winners of the National Christmas Tree Association national tree contest.

The winners of the contest have provided the official White House Christmas tree since 1966.

The arrival of the Christmas tree marks the official start of the holiday season at the White House.

Today, President Trump will continue the festivities with his first turkey pardoning.

Two turkeys arrived in Washington DC Sunday night and have een staying at the Willard Hotel, close by the White House.

Yesterday their names were chosen – Drumstick and Wishbone.

Today, President Trump will pardon one of the turkeys in the Rose garden – the White House has left the decision as to which bird up to a Twitter poll.

Melania was last photographed during her five-country tour of Asia with her husband.

She was last snapped on a section of the Great Wall of China, and apepared to have swapped stilettos for flat shoes
