Meghan Markle actress teases RACY scenes with Prince Harry in The Windsors

In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, Kathryn Drysdale – who plays the fictional Meghan – teased some saucy scenes between her alter-ego and Prince Harry (played by Richard Goulding), saying: “Well, you’ll have to wait and see.”

The 35-year-old actress, who is known for her roles in Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps and Any Human Heart, spoke about approaching the role of Meghan, also 35, explaining that she went through her social media feeds and her now-defunct website The TIG.

“I went quite a way back down the Instagram to see what she was up to before and after she met Harry,” Kathryn explained. She also binge-watched Suits to get a sense of Meghan as US attorney Rachel Zane.

Promotional images of Kathryn as Meghan showed her dressed in tiny denim shorts and a shirt as he lounges on Prince Harry’s knee, so what can fans expect from her version of Meghan when The Windsors hits screens next week?

According to Kathryn, her larger-than-life character will be channelling the L.A. lifestyle of positive thinking and healthy eating.

“All of her sickly sweet quotes and that sort of very LA and healthy lifestyle, that whole kind of Californian positive thinking, daily affirmations was the route we were going down with her,” she said.

Kathryn added: “At this point she is new to the series and there is a lot more fun we can have with her. We certainly poke fun at her being an actress and being into her exercise and nutrition.”

On top of that The Windsors’ Meghan will be reminding everyone about her role in US legal drama Suits at every possibly opportunity. In fact, Meghan even has a catchphrase on the show to add to her brash persona.

At one point in the Channel 4 comedy Meghan even mistakes the Duchess of Cornwall for the Queen, telling the mortified royal: “You don’t look anything like 90.”

The drama is also set to address whether Meghan and Prince Harry’s relationship will stand the test of time, particularly episode five which will see a “make or break” for the couple’s fledgling relationship.

“Is it going to last with this transatlantic thing between her and Harry and how is she going to live in England. Those are the things we address in that episode,” the star said.

Kathryn went on to add that she hoped her character would remain in The Windsors for as long as Meghan was connected to the Royal Family in real life.

The Windsors returns to Channel 4 on Wednesday, July 5 at 10pm.
